"Who are they? They seem strong," Bai Lingxi asked, narrowing her eyes as she sensed their cultivation levels—clearly in the Golden Core Realm.

"Of course they're strong. They're the Peak Masters of the sect," Luo Li replied. As an older disciple of the sect, she recognized them from previous gatherings.

"Really? They don't look like the dignified Peak Masters I've heard about," Shi Yu said honestly, causing Luo Li's face to twitch in embarrassnt. She couldn't really bla Shi Yu—even she was left speechless by their current behavior. Right now, they looked more like custors haggling in a market than prestigious leaders.

"Ahem, they're not always like this," Luo Li tried to defend the Peak Masters, seeing the clear doubt in the girls' eyes. Min Li, on the other hand, just smirked in amusent. She could completely understand their behavior given the situation.

"Tsk, they're trying to bribe him to choose and join their peak," Bai Lingxi clicked her tongue. Even from a distance, they could clearly hear the conversation—showing just how loud and desperate the Peak Masters were.

"Can you bla them?" Luo Li said. "If they don't recruit him, the weakest peak will beco the top peak among all others, even if only temporarily—as long as he stays in the sect." She understood how important the rankings were. Each peak received contribution points based on their ranking, and the higher the ranking, the more points they earned. Those points were essential within the sect, as they could be exchanged for cultivation resources and valuable treasures. No one in their right mind would willingly let their rank drop.

"Do you think he'll accept any of their offers?" Min Li asked in a slightly nervous tone. She hadn't known Jade Peak was the weakest when she first joined. After finding out, she was dumbfounded. Zhou Huixin's sweet deanor had won her over, and by the ti she realized the truth, she was too embarrassed to leave the peak—especially since she'd already made friends there.

On top of that, it was one of the few places without botherso n. Ever since entering the sect, many male disciples who knew about her background had constantly tried to get close to her or seduce her, which had beco a major hassle. Later, when she learned that Wang Ming would also be joining Jade Peak, she was ecstatic—she had already decided to pursue him as her partner. But now, hearing the enticing offers from other Peak Masters, she was growing anxious that he might accept, and her chances to win him over would shrink.

"Nah, he won't," Bai Lingxi replied nonchalantly with a wave of her hand. "He already gave his word to join her peak. He's not the type to break a promise."

"Should we go interrupt them? Wang Ming looks like he's about to explode in frustration," Shi Yu pointed out as they watched Wang Ming, whose face was red with annoyance and had veins bulging on his forehead.

"Nope," Bai Lingxi replied without hesitation, curling her lips into a smirk as she continued watching the scene.

"Anyone got popcorn?" Bai Lingxi added with an amused smile, and the others chuckled. Luo Li, ever prepared, pulled out exactly what she asked for from her storage ring.

anwhile, Wang Ming was reaching his limit. A headache was forming as the Peak Masters continued to chatter non-stop. Every ti one of them paused and he tried to voice his rejection, another would jump in with an even more outrageous offer. He hadn't even gotten the chance to say a single word.

He seriously considered using Asura's Gaze just to shut everyone up.

'Nani?' Wang Ming almost blurted out in Japanese from his past life. His eyes widened in disbelief when he spotted the girls—Bai Lingxi and the others—watching from the distance with popcorn buckets in hand, wearing what looked suspiciously like 3D glasses.

He was stunned. 'How the hell does a cultivation world have 3D glasses?'

Before he could process this absurdity any further, Jiang Hong finally stepped in.

"Alright, everyone, quiet down! You're not even letting him speak," Jiang Hong said firmly. He had been watching with amusent from the sidelines but decided it was ti to intervene before Wang Ming actually unleashed a technique on them.

The Peak Masters, regaining their composure, looked sheepishly at Wang Ming, who was rubbing his temples in frustration. They gave awkward chuckles and cleared their throats.

"So, Disciple Wang Ming, what is your decision?" Jiang Hong asked with interest. The other Peak Masters leaned in, eager to hear his answer, while Zhou Huixin looked the most nervous of them all.

"Before I answer that..." Wang Ming began, looking at Jiang Hong with curiosity, "Sect Master, am I being promoted to Inner Court Disciple or Core Disciple?"

Jiang Hong's lips twitched at the unexpected question.

'If he's not a Core Disciple, then who can be?' Everyone had the sa thought and grumbled internally as they watched Wang Ming's genuinely curious expression.

"Of course, you're a Core Disciple. After seeing your strength and performance, if I don't promote you, do I even deserve to be the Sect Master? Besides, everyone would protest if you were only made an Inner Court Disciple," Jiang Hong grumbled.

"Now, can you tell us your decision?" Lei Ping, who had been silent until now, asked.

'Please don't join another peak, please…' Zhou Huixin prayed inwardly.

"Of course. How could I join another peak when I've already promised Peak Master Zhou Huixin to join Jade Peak? I, Wang Ming, always keep my promises," Wang Ming said seriously, to the disappointnt of the others and the delight of Zhou Huixin.

"Haha! Disciple Wang Ming, you won't regret this decision!" Zhou Huixin said with a bright smile, which only caused the other Peak Masters to glare at her.

"I see. In that case, here are your badge and robes," Jiang Hong said as a beautiful robe—the uniform of the Core Disciples—and a badge bearing the mark of Jade Peak materialized in front of him. He handed them to Wang Ming.
