" Oh shit," she cursed, realizing she had let her guard down. Another beast was charging straight at her, and she had no spiritual energy left to defend herself.
Clang!
"Sigh… Don't let your guard down when you're out in the wild like this," Wang Ming said as he appeared in front of the charging beast, blocking its attack effortlessly.
"Thanks," Min Li said, cold sweat dripping down her back as she realized just how close she had been to failing the mission to collect points.
"You should recover your strength. I'll deal with it," Wang Ming said to Min Li, who nodded and moved a safe distance away.
"Hmm… Oh, shit."
Wang Ming suddenly felt the temperature rise and frowned. Tearing his gaze away from Min Li, he turned back to the beast—and his pupils shrank when he saw it gathering flas in its mouth, preparing to launch an attack at him.
Swoosh!
Wang Ming pushed the beast backward with his sword, causing it to stumble and fall onto its back. At the sa ti, he narrowly avoided the incoming flas as they shot past him and blasted into the sky.
'Hiss… I would've been injured if that had hit ,' Wang Ming thought. So might argue that he wouldn't have been seriously hard who has seen him fight, but why wait around to take damage if he could just avoid it altogether?
"Heavenly Sword Art – First Form: Flickering Strikes!" Wang Ming muttered as he vanished from his original position, reappeared in front of the beast, and struck it before returning to where he started.
Clang!
His sword shattered. Wang Ming frowned when he noticed that, despite his attack, the beast was still alive.
Clang! Clang!
Without hesitation, he continued using his technique, cutting down several more beasts before finally drawing a conclusion.
"Three swords… That's a bit more than I expected," Wang Ming muttered. It had taken three strikes to kill the beast, which was more than he had anticipated.
'I honestly didn't expect them to survive the first strike. If it takes three strikes to kill them, then I need stronger techniques that consu less spiritual energy,I am still weak' Wang Ming thought.
If anyone had heard what he was thinking, they would have cursed him out. 'If you think you're lacking and weak, then what does that make the rest of us?!'
"What speed!" one of the onlookers narrowed his eyes, trying to track Wang Ming's movents, but he failed. Wang Ming was nothing more than a blur, and all he could perceive were the sounds of blades striking the beast.
"This technique must be a very high-ranked one, sothing only top families could possess," another person muttered in a low voice.
"Are you sure we can deal with them?" soone asked with doubt. The beast had managed to survive multiple strikes from Wang Ming, but as humans, he doubted they could withstand even a single one. The situation was even more dangerous because they couldn't even see Wang Ming's movents.
"Don't worry. Just wait for him to exhaust himself like the girl. Look at the number of swords—I'm sure he's planning to use them all. Once he runs out, he won't have the spiritual energy left to defend himself," another person said calmly as he analyzed the situation. He was certain that Wang Ming and Min Li had already guessed their intentions, but he also knew that people from top families tended to be extrely arrogant. They probably assud no one would dare attack them. In reality, their assumptions were correct—outside in the real world. But here, in the virtual world, it was an entirely different matter.
"Let's try another thod," Wang Ming mumbled, completely ignoring the discussions around him as he searched for another beast. After spotting his target, he walked toward it, but this ti, he didn't use any techniques—he relied purely on swordsmanship.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Wang Ming easily dodged as the beast tried to attack him, and while evading, he launched several precise strikes. Each ti he swung his sword, he targeted the beast's weakest points—its joints, eyes, and other vulnerable areas.
"Huff... Huff..." After so ti, his body was covered in sweat and blood, causing him to frown slightly. He looked down at the beast's body, which was riddled with countless cuts but was still alive. Without hesitation, he swung his blade one last ti and decapitated it.
"This won't do... It takes too long. I should use my techniques to kill as many beasts as possible and then..." Wang Ming muttered under his breath, casting a glance at the players surrounding them.
'He defeated that beast without using any techniques, and he's completely unscathed—only a little tired,' Min Li thought, shocked. Even though she had used her bloodline technique, she had still ended up injured. Yet, Wang Ming had relied solely on pure swordsmanship and achieved an even better result.
Over the next several minutes, Wang Ming slaughtered one beast after another. At one point, he even had to activate the Supre Regeneration Technique to recover his strength. Within half an hour, he had exhausted all the swords he had taken from the NPC and hundreds of corpses of beast lay on the ground. In front of him lay a massive pile of beast cores, causing the greed of the surrounding players to surge.
"Look, he seems to have run out of spiritual energy reserves!" soone in the crowd excitedly pointed at Wang Ming, who was panting heavily. Their eyes glead with greed.
"Yes, he's barely standing! Let's go quickly and—" The person speaking abruptly shut his mouth, his excitent replaced by sheer terror. A suffocating killing intent filled the air, making his body freeze. His gaze instinctively shifted to Wang Ming, who was now shrouded in a blood-red aura.
Wang Ming himself stood motionless, staring into the air as if in a daze.
