"You surely know how to play ignorant, huh...after doing all those planning and plotting...you are playing cool as if nothing happened!" Yohan’s gaze landed on the ground where the middle-aged man, the leader of this branch family, was standing along with the hundreds of cultivators who were looking at Yohan with extreme killing intent.
The middle-aged man raised one of his brows hearing Yohan, but nevertheless he maintained that dumbfounded look on his face without showing any emotion.
"Young master Yohan, I suggest you leave this place while you can. I can understand you are angry just because a branch family merely refused the summon sent by the main family... I was not aware that simple refusal caused such issues when a self-proclaimed patriarch had to e in person to threaten me!" the middle-aged man exclaimed, looking in the direction of Yohan.
Yohan took a long sigh seeing how this bastard was playing with words and trying to act as if he was untouchable inside the protection of the barrier. Yohan was clearly annoyed seeing that smug look on his face,he couldn’t wait to wipe that smug look on his face.
"I hope you maintain that very look on your face when I trample this very place and gouge your heart while you are alive..." Yohan’s voice echoed in the surroundings; the middle-aged man clicked his tongue hearing Yohan’s threatening words,the calmness he had on his face disappeared.
"You crossed the line you shouldn’t have; you dare to threaten me... you arrogant bastard..." The middle-aged man fumed with rage and instantly he signaled all of the cultivators to attack Yohan.
The moment he did that, hundreds of figures moved towards the sky with a frightening speed in order to kill Yohan. One after another, those figures leave the protective barrier that was placed around the settlement; it was designed in such a manner that allows a person to leave, but no one from outside can enter without the permission of the caster, or the other way around, which is destroying the entire barrier—which is somewhat impossible.
A sinister smile manifested on the middle-aged man’s face knowing he has the upper hand in this one sided battle,he frowned knowing yohan came this way all alone by himself,not only he has the protection of the barrier but he also has an entire army of the cultivators who can easily kill yohan by joining hands altogether.
"This is your fault, young master... you should have left this place while I gave you a chance, you arrogant bastard, like father, like son, both of them are fools who don’t understand how things work in the real world..." He muttered in a low voice, maintaining that smile on his face, but soon the smile on his face disappeared and his legs gave up on him.
"What the..." In an instant, he fell to the ground facing his buttocks; his face turned white as if he had seen something that he shouldn’t have seen in the first place, his eyes widened with shock, the next moment, hundreds of figures could be seen falling one after another, slain in half towards the ground.
The middle-aged man couldn’t believe his eyes seeing the multiple figures colliding with the barrier and their incapacitated slain bodies sliding, falling outside the city; the entire dome-like structure was painted in red engulfing in the blood of those cultivators that he sent to kill yohan.
Yohan was standing in the sky holding a sword in his hand which was dripping blood; at the same time, Elaine, who was standing far away, had a shocked look on her face seeing that eerie-looking sword in Yohan’s hand. By the look on her face, it was clearly evident that she knew something related to this sword.
"Feed me more... it’s been a while since I tasted blood, proper human blood. It seems you have forgotten me since you made that deal with me!" a voice echoed in Yohan’s head; the voice belonged to Asura, the weapon he was holding in his hand.
Yohan merely gave a look to that sword he was holding in his hand. Ignoring Asura, he shifted his gaze in the direction of the ground where the middle-aged man, the leader of this branch family, was on the ground having this horrified look on his face; the confidence and the smug look that he had all disappeared seeing those figures falling like trees.
He couldn’t believe that Yohan had killed all of those cultivators that he got from the other branch families to protect himself; all of them were dead in an instant, as if they were some kind of sacrifice.
"Those were freaking cultivators..." the middle-aged man whispered in a trembling voice and immediately tilted his head in order to look into his surroundings, but he was taken aback by surprise seeing the fleeting figures of thousands of guards who were guarding the settlement. The ones who immediately fled were the guards who were present at the entrance; the moment they saw the dead bodies of those cultivators, they immediately lost their will to fight and considered the choice that Yohan gave them earlier, but the moment they placed their foot outside the barrier in order to leave the settlement, their heads could be seen flying and their lifeless bodies fell to the ground.
"Only women and children... apart from them, no one is leaving this place alive..." Yohan’s voice echoed in the surroundings; he himself, standing in the sky, pointed Asura in the direction of the entrance.
The moment those words echoed in the surroundings, the guards who wanted to leave this place fell into despair; the only choice was to remain inside the protection of the barrier and pray for some miracle. All of them turned to the middle-aged man, who was on the ground watching everything, having this horrified look on his face.
Meanwhile, the women and children from the branch family started leaving the settlement in order to save themselves from the disaster their leader brought upon them. As long as Yohan kept his word, they would not lose their lives; with that hope, women carrying children in their arms and holding their hands started leaving the settlement.
And sure enough, all of them were unharmed, unlike those guards who earlier decided to flee from the place.
One after another, the large crowd started leaving the barrier; all of them were women and children.
Yohan was watching everything from the sky while having a calm look on his face; there was still some time left from the time limit he gave them.
Sometime later, the sword in Yohan’s grasp moved on its own, as if it had its own will. Yohan had this sharp look in his eyes while the sword started spinning with a frightening pace; the one-hour time limit had e to an end. The middle-aged man, the leader of this branch family, was left behind along with the other males who were associated with this branch family; all those people watched their women and children leave.
"You heartless bastard, you will never ever get inside—" Before he could plete his sentence, an object with lightning-fast speed tore through the barrier, instantly piercing his body.
