The disciples were more puzzled than excited by the announcent. During a Dual Cultivation Exchange, disciples from each sect would engage in dual cultivation with mbers of the opposing sect. Essentially, it was a tournant tailored specifically for dual cultivators.
However, this tournant wouldn't take place on a grand stage; instead, it would be held within a private venue, ensuring an intimate and secluded setting for the participants.
Typically, only the most talented and seasoned disciples would participate in a Dual Cultivation Exchange, so none of the Outer Court or Inner Court disciples even considered participating.
However, it wasn't just the disciples who were puzzled. The sect elders were just as dumbfounded and confused when they heard the announcent, which had been made without any prior eting or warning.
"Is this even real?" A sect elder questioned, doubting its legitimacy.
"The Sect Leader left the sect soti ago and hasn't returned since then, so we cannot ask her until she returns."

"It's true. I challenged the Mystic Delight Pavilion to a Dual Cultivation Exchange yesterday. I will return soon. We can talk about it then."
Afterward, the sect leader stopped the connection to her communication jade slip, leaving Chen Yi no room to argue.
"T-that unreasonable woman! Ever since Su Yang corrupted her, she's never been the sa! Damn it!" Chen Yi stomped the floor in anger, but there was nothing he could do, as he'd never successfully changed the sect leader's mind.
Chen Yi called for an ergency eting shortly after, gathering all of the sect elders in one place.
"I have spoken with the Sect Leader, confirming that our Boundless Yin Yang Sect will be participating in a Dual Cultivation Exchange with the Mystic Delight Pavilion, and the Sect Leader will be returning to the sect soon."
"Did she tell you the reason for this sudden event, Vice Sect Leader?" one of the sect elders inquired.
"No, she did not, but I'm sure she has a good reason…" Chen Yi spoke with a stiff expression on his face.
"Has the Mystic Delight Pavilion contacted us yet?" another sect elder questioned.
"No, I have received no news from them."
"This will be our first Dual Cultivation Exchange in a while. Does the sect have any plans to ensure we don't lose too badly?" asked another sect elder, sounding not too confident about their sect's victory.
However, no one blad her, as they all shared the sa sentint. Despite the Boundless Yin Yang Sect's rich history and prestige, it was, at its core, a diocre sect, and the Sect Leader's depression over Su Yang's death hadn't helped. The only reason the sect had gained such popularity in the past was because of Su Yang. Without him, they would have likely remained an average sect.
"Even though the Sect Leader said participation is optional, we will need our best disciples to participate so that we won't embarrass ourselves." Chen Yi said.
"I agree. We need our best disciples to participate in this exchange," agreed a sect elder.
"Although the Sect Leader's offer is already enticing enough, we should add several more rewards in case the Core Disciples refuse to participate."
Unlike Outer Court or Inner Court disciples, Core Disciples have the privilege of declining to assist a sect elder for any reason, even if the request cos from the Vice Sect Leader. The only person they cannot refuse is the Sect Leader herself.
"What kind of rewards do you have in mind?" Chen Yi asked.
"I don't know yet, but if the disciple needs sothing, we can do our best to help them acquire it."
As their eting continued, Su Yang stood before an announcent board with Lin Xinyi by his side.
"A Dual Cultivation Exchange, huh? What an obvious attempt of trying to lure out." Su Yang mumbled with a slight smile.
"Huh? Why would the sect be trying to lure you?" Lin Xinyi turned to look at him with a puzzled face.
"Not the sect. The Sect Leader." Su Yang corrected her.
"So you're going to participate?"
Su Yang stared at the announcent for a mont before shaking his head, "No, I won't."
"Really? Even if you don't win, I'm sure you'll receive a lot of recognition for your skills," she said.
Although she didn't ntion it, Lin Xinyi was sure Su Yang would participate, as he seed like the type of person to jump at every opportunity given to him.
