Chapter 68: Devil Cultivator

Anyone can guess it, It’s a devil cultivator... only they would target with specific requirents in their minds. Every upper realm has its fair share of devil cultivators.

Lin Feng didn’t loathe or despise them, everyone has their own path, even the righteous kill rcilessly to seize resources. In fact, most of the righteous cultivators are more devilish than devil cultivators themselves.

Portraying righteousness and being righteous is a far different concept.

Devil cultivators do everything openly, they don’t try to hide behind a mask of righteousness unless they are very weak.

As for negative karma, most devil cultivation techniques have ways to conceal it, unless you are stronger than them and possess a technique to see through their disguise, you won’t be able to discern if they are devil cultivator or not just by looking at them.

Lin Feng was intrigued by this mission, so he went to the reception and handed the parchnt to the woman who was looking at him curiously.

She took the mission and frowned slightly, "Chief D—"

"Just call

Brother Lin," Lin Feng didn’t care about being Chief Disciple.

The woman nodded with a smile, "Brother Lin, this mission is sowhat strange, it might be related to Devil Cultivators. It is advisable to undertake it in a group. That is the reason why we have increased its value from 500 credits to 1000 credits."

Lin Feng nodded but he wasn’t interested in doing it in a group, he didn’t even know if soone was willing to co with him or not, after all, he was a man, "It’s fine, I will be able to handle it." He hadn’t picked the mission for credits anyway.

He could gain access to the sect treasury anyti he desired, so credits didn’t really matter to him. He just wished to explore the outside world.

The woman understood his intentions and nodded, she knew Lin Feng wasn’t ordinary, so he could indeed handle himself alone with his strength, she noted his na and mission down and returned the parchnt, "Alright, Brother Lin, you have a whole month to complete this mission."

Lin Feng took the parchnt and departed, he knew there must be so penalty for failing a mission, but this disciple had not ntioned them, as he might be exempted from such penalties.

Xueyin City wasn’t far, it is the nearest city to the sect. That’s why there is no teleportation array available for it.

There were clear directions about how to reach the location of the mission, so he ca down to the base of the mountain where the outer sect was located and exited quietly.

Once he erged, the path was straight, passing through a small forest devoid of spirit beasts for safety reasons. He took out his cloudwalking boots and wore, it’s first ti he will test them.

He began running, and as expected the mont infused little qi in it his body felt lighter and his speed increased, it would take about five hours to reach the city by simply walking, so running was the best option, due to his yang qi and blood qi, his stamina was robust, so he could run without stopping for extended periods.

An hour and a half later, Lin Feng stood on a slope. He looked toward the city sprawled amidst three small isolated mountains, it was the second largest city in the entire Northern region, Xueyin City.

It’s renowned because it is closest to the Frozen Heart Sect. It gains access to many resources that are abundant in the Frozen Heart Sect, from resources of high-grade beasts to rare treasures which only the Frozen Heart Sect has access to.

Most, if not all, clans and sects of the Northern region have small branches here, as the Frozen Heart Sect holds auctions, and none of them wish to miss them.

Lin Feng glanced one last ti before changing his direction, as his destination was one of the villages nearby, not the city itself.

Fifteen minutes later, he arrived at the back of the eastern mountain where a village, quite large to be called one, was located. Due to its proximity to Xueyin City, it was quite developed.

Lin Feng had decided not to reveal himself as a mber of the Frozen Heart Sect, even if he did, no one would believe him, only four people outside the sect knew of his existence, and they all had taken oaths not to disclose it. The robes he wore didn’t match the sect robes either.

When he arrived at the entrance, two guards were standing, they seed to be ordinary villagers with just slightly enhanced physical traits.

They imdiately scrutinized Lin Feng, he understood they were vigilant because of recent incidents. He took out the parchnt, "I have been hired by the Frozen Heart Sect to investigate the mission you submitted regarding the disappearance of children."

It wasn’t common but neither unheard of to hire soone to undertake a mission on behalf of the sect, so he was certain they wouldn’t doubt anything once they saw the approved seal of the Frozen Heart Sect on the mission parchnt.

One of the guards looked at the parchnt and, as expected, he nodded,"Thank you for accepting this mission, young master," he bowed deeply before adding, " Please co inside, I will take you to the village chief"

Lin Feng nodded and followed, the man was in the Qi Refinent realm, he appeared to be about 35 years old.

Most humans living in villages are untalented, and they will reach as high as Foundation Establishnt or, in rare cases, Core Formation realm. Due to this, they are often treated as mortals even though they can cultivate.

This will continue, as if your parents are untalented, then you will almost certainly have the sa talent, sotis it might not hold true, but those cases are impossibly rare.

As Lin Feng walked through the village, many gazes fell on him, no doubt they were curious seeing a newcor, but Lin Feng believed it was due to his appearance, he was strikingly handso afterall.

He should have worn a cloak or mask to conceal his face, he will rember to do so next ti. After a few breaths, they arrived at a large house, almost in the center of the village.

The guard went near the entrance and knocked on the door.

Knock! Knock!

Two breaths later, the door opened, and an old man appeared at the entrance. He was at the peak of the Foundation Establishnt realm. Lin Feng could discern cultivation realms easily due to a simple technique.
