Chapter 44: Bonding
Using the Heavenly Oath was the perfect solution for keeping it secret. "So what do we have to do in the mine?"
Mo Yan looked at him with an amused expression. "What else? Mine of course. We need to store a lot of spirit stones in case the situation turns bad, although sothing like that happening is almost impossible. Being prepared is always better.
Not to ntion we need spirit stones to set up strong killing arrays as traps in various locations on the border area, where we can lure the enemies."
It would be a trendous task, as even the border area was massive. But since they would only be using particular areas to lure the enemies, it would be fine. Not to ntion in the Northern Region there were other sects under the Frozen Heart Sect that would help.
"So we will be defending?" Since they were planning to create killing arrays inside their own territory, it was obvious.
"For the initial phase yes, but once those two sects beco relaxed thinking that we will keep defending like we always used to, that is when we will attack."
Lin Feng nodded in understanding. It sounded like a good plan.
"Oh my, what a view." Suddenly they heard a sweet voice.
Mo Yan and Lin Feng turned imdiately towards the entrance. Xuan Lian was standing there with a small smile on her lips.
They had not even felt anything before she spoke, as if she appeared and spoke in the sa instant, giving no ti for their senses to react.
Mo Yan’s face turned completely red as Lin Feng’s head was still on her shoulders. She imdiately distanced herself. "P-peak—"
"Call
Aunt," Xuan Lian interrupted.
Mo Yan suddenly bowed deeply. "I... I am sorry for what I have done in the past, A-Aunt." Since she had started ignoring her master, she naturally went away from her aunt too.
"Leave it, past is past. I am happy that my idiot sister finally took the right step... now co here." Xuan Lian opened her arms.
Mo Yan did not hesitate and rushed into her embrace. She cried for the second ti today. On this day she had finally been able to feel the sa warmth she used to feel as a child, the arms of her master and her aunt.
Lin Feng felt happy seeing this. His senior sister might act strong, but she was just like a lost child inside.
Xuan Lian patted her softly while Mo Yan finally cald down.
"Now that everything is over, tell
how the hell this scoundrel beca so close to you in such a short amount of ti?" Xuan Lian really had not expected to see them this close so soon.
She knew that Lin Feng would definitely extend his claws toward Mo Yan, but what she had just seen thoroughly surprised her. They looked like lovers sitting casually while talking.
Mo Yan’s ears turned red too and she hugged her aunt tighter, deciding not to leave her arms for the ti being.
Lin Feng smiled innocently. "It was just a bonding between a junior brother and his new senior sister."
"That innocent smile does not suit you. I wonder if Mo Yan lowered her guard because of it." Xuan Lian sighed. "Oh well, it was bound to happen one day so I guess it does not matter. So what were you two talking about?"
"About the war and the ongoing missions. We were going to the mine tomorrow for a mission too," Lin Feng replied.
Xuan Lian nodded and looked at him. "That is good, but you should not worry about the war too much. You are still too weak, so cultivation should be your top priority."
Lin Feng smiled, it was again filled with innocence ,"Aunt, you do know that my cultivation depends on Master and your decision. If you both allow
to cultivate earnestly, then I will cultivate day and night without stopping, and both of you can be witnesses."
Listening to that even Xuan Lian blushed a little. Just thinking about doing that whole day and night made her feel a tingling sensation in her nether regions. And what did he an by both of them being witnesses? Was he planning to do that with both of them together?
The re thought of it made her cheeks burn. Doing it in front of her sister’s eyes seed quite embarrassing even for her. She could not help but wonder how her sister would react. This scoundrel could really co up with shaful notions.
Mo Yan did not have a single clue what they were talking about. Listening to her junior brother she felt like he could not cultivate perfectly unless Master and Aunt allowed him to do so, but why?
Xuan Lian finally ca back to her senses and patted Mo Yan. "Listen Yan’er, when you go to the mine, try to only get high grade spirit stones. Right now we need quality over quantity."
Mo Yan finally ca out of Xuan Lian’s arms and nodded. "I will Aunt."
"Good. Also, I do not know how you fell for this scoundrel, but make sure not to give in too much to his advances or he will devour you," Xuan Lian said with an amused tone.
Mo Yan’s face turned red again listening to that. She wanted to hide again but held herself back. She was already grown up, she could not keep acting like a child.
Lin Feng watched everything with a smile on his face. He had already decided to make his senior sister completely his own during this mission. She would totally beco part of them.
The dual cultivation technique would work perfectly for her too. Since she had the physique, all the yang qi she gained from cultivation would be converted into voidfrost qi.
For the ti being he was too weak to give her enough yang qi, or else she would not even need to use the sect’s main cultivation technique to reach the Tribulation Ascendance Realm.
"Well then, take care. I am going on a mission too," Xuan Lian said.
"Will you be gone for long Aunt?" Lin Feng asked.
"Probably. We are going to enslave so beasts. It will definitely take ti." Xuan Lian nodded and waved her hand before disappearing.
Enslaving beasts was indeed a good idea. They could perfectly protect the border areas. Beasts could act as cannon fodder, and the more they had the better it would be. Since they were going to defend for the ti being, using beasts along with arrays and traps was far better than using them to attack.
