Chapter 4: Can’t Cultivate?

Him losing control while absorbing qi felt a little dubious. Why was his body and mind getting distracted?

He tried again, this ti paying full attention. He could see that the qi was being absorbed, but it felt like his mind was losing concentration. He could only maintain it for a short while before he lost focus again.

"Dammit, why can’t I concentrate? This doesn’t even make sense. Is it because I have so kind of injury which I can’t figure out?"

If that was the case, then he should feel so discomfort while absorbing the qi, but nothing like that happened. It was more like he couldn’t concentrate, as if he was being restricted. Was he?

"Fine, I will wait for so ti..." He wasn’t in a hurry. It was better to wait for a while. His cultivation speed right now would be trendously slow anyway, so there really wasn’t any point in cultivating at this mont.

"Feng’er..."

Lin Feng turned back imdiately to see his master standing behind him. He imdiately controlled his impulse again. Looks like it would take a lot of ti for him to get used to her beauty.

"Master, what happened?"

"Co, I will let you et the elders of the sect."

Lin Feng stood up imdiately and followed her out. The mont he ca out, his eyes fell upon a group of beautiful won standing in front of the Library Pavilion.

Lin Feng imdiately bowed. They were all beauties. They might not be as beautiful as his master, but they have their own charms.

Xuan Xue ca in front of Lin Feng and spoke.

"et my disciple, Lin Feng."

They all looked at Lin Feng with different expressions. So looked genuinely surprised, so were curious, one was nonchalant, and one looked with discomfort.

Well, Lin Feng had expected more people to have that discomforted expression, as it was a pure maiden sect, so he was quite surprised by their reactions.

"So in the end, you really took him as a disciple," one of the won, who might be the second most beautiful woman Lin Feng had seen till now, spoke.

He couldn’t help but feel that she had so similarities with his master.

"Yes and Feng’er, this is Xuan Lian, elder of Treasury Peak. She is also my blood sister."

Lin Feng understood the reason and imdiately bowed to greet her.

"Disciple Lin Feng greets Elder Xuan."

"Stop that... call

Aunt from now on, you have exclusive rights for that," Xuan Lian spoke while smiling sweetly. Since he was already her sister’s disciple, she would spoil him.

Lin Feng was more than happy to oblige.

"Aunt Lian."

"Good, good..." Xuan Lian was satisfied.

Xuan Xue pointed towards the woman who looked most dissatisfied at the mont.

"This is the elder of Disciplinary Peak, Zi i."

Although she looked dissatisfied, Lin Feng still bowed and greeted her.

"Greetings, Elder Zi."

"Humph..." Zi i snorted.

Xuan Lian shook her head ,"Don’t mind her. She hates n due to so of her past incidents."

"Tch... you don’t have to bring that up," Zi i retorted, but Xuan Lian paid her no attention.

Lin Feng sighed inwardly. He didn’t like it when she snorted at his greeting, but if it was due to her hatred of n because of so traumatic incident, then he wasn’t angry anymore... he felt sympathy for her.

Xuan Xue continued and pointed towards the third woman. "This is Elder Hua Ying, she controls Mission Peak."

"Greetings, Elder Hua," Lin Feng greeted and controlled his eyes from gazing her. She had the most prominent figure among all, even including his master.

But it didn’t an that the others were small... It just elder Hua Ying was beyond everything.

"Oh my, to think we would have a handso little male disciple ever."

Lin Feng’s lips twitched. He didn’t know his exact age, but he was definitely not little. In fact, even now he almost matched their heights. In one year, he would be the tallest among them all, possibly.

"This is Elder Qing Shu of Sword Peak," Xuan Xue pointed to the fourth woman in the group.

"Greetings, Elder Qing." To him, she looked cold and aloof. In beauty, she wasn’t far from his aunt.

"Hmm." Qing Shu nodded calmly.

"This is Elder Bai Ning, she handles Alchemy Peak."

"Greetings, Elder Bai." She looked pure and innocent.

"Nice to et." Bai Ning smiled sweetly.

Xuan Xue finally pointed to the last woman. "This is Elder Lan Yue, she handles Weapon Refinent Peak."

Lin Feng bowed. "Greetings, Elder Lan."

Lan Yue nodded back.

He really had a hard ti believing that a fair-skinned beauty like her was a weapon refinent master... Looks can be deceiving, huh.

"Very well then, now the introductions are over. You all should go."

"What the heck? Can’t we stay a little longer? Let us chat with the new chief disciple of the sect at least."

Hua Ying complained coquettishly.

"Weren’t you all quite busy regarding that new matter? Go and discuss so asures, I will co later," Xuan Xue denied again.

"Tch! Fine..." Hua Ying pouted and left, the others followed.

Xuan Xue finally looked at Lin Feng and spoke.

"You were cultivating?"

Lin Feng nodded, as this was the truth.

"Hmm... ask

if you need any help."

Lin Feng hesitated a little but decided to tell her the truth. Since she could see through lies, she would believe it easily.

"Master... there is a problem. I can’t cultivate properly."

Xuan Xue was bewildered. "What do you an?"

Lin Feng started explaining everything to her.

Xuan Xue was surprised after listening to it.

"Let’s go inside."

Lin Feng nodded, and they ca inside the pavilion again.

"Sit."

Lin Feng sat down in lotus position. Xuan Xue followed and sat behind him.

She put her hand on his back, and the mont her hand touched his back, Lin Feng felt a strange sensation.

His blood boiled, every part of his body felt excited. He was stunned. He knew that his master was insanely beautiful... but should he really be getting this kind of reaction just because she was touching his back? Not to ntion, he was still wearing his robe.

Xuan Xue also felt the strange sensation. She really didn’t know what this feeling was, it was like her whole body was excited. It was like she should not only touch but hug—her eyes widened as she discarded the fleeting thought.

That was dangerous. How could her thoughts even reach that conclusion? It was definitely not normal. If it were, then she wouldn’t have gotten that thought in the first place.

Not to ntion, Lin Feng was her own disciple... she could never even think of sothing like that in her dreams, much less while she was conscious.

This definitely happened because of this new feeling she was getting. What the hell was that... wait a second, was Feng’er feeling it too?

She couldn’t verify it without seeing his reaction. She could ask about it... but she discarded the thought for the ti being.

"Try to cultivate."

Lin Feng nodded while ignoring the strange excitent. His dragon might have awakened if he didn’t distract himself, and if his master by chance had opened her spiritual sense, then she would have seen it.

He started absorbing the qi, and just like before, he was only able to absorb for a few seconds before he lost control.

Xuan Xue frowned. If she hadn’t heard his words about restriction on his mind, she would have thought he had stopped cultivating purposefully.

"There isn’t any problem with your body. It definitely is as you say. Very well, you should rest for so days. After a week, let’s try again."

Lin Feng nodded. Now he just hoped that his master would leave quickly, because he couldn’t control his dragon for long.

"I have to go and attend the discussion among the elders now. Take care... by the way, even if you can’t enter the main sect because Zi i opposed it... you can still walk down the peak from behind. This is also where I found you. Just don’t go too far."

Lin Feng nodded imdiately, feeling relieved. Xuan Xue left.

"Damn, what the hell was that feeling? It was like my whole body wanted to push master down."

He didn’t seem a stranger to this feeling. He had inkling that he knew what it is... but not a single instance ca to his mind.

Just as he was thinking this, a thought ca to his mind.

"Wait a second, was that feeling mutual?" His eyes widened slightly. If it happened due to his master’s touch and it wasn’t normal, then there was a high chance that his master felt the sa. Now he had inkling what it might be.

He have to figure out if it was truth or not.

He ca to the route going down from the peak. He could already see a frozen river from here.

...

In the chamber, all the elders were waiting for Xuan Xue.

Xuan Xue arrived shortly, and everyone nodded to her. She took her seat, and Xuan Lian spoke.

"We have decided to take both sects as enemies now..."
