Chapter 38: Heavenly Realm
Lin Feng sighed, he understood what his aunt was hinting. Well, he did not mind telling them the truth, reincarnation was not so hidden topic in the upper world, it was similar to how after death souls reincarnated but with just a little difference.
Unlike pure annihilation of mories like normal reincarnation, reincarnating using reincarnation stones only sealed those mories and usually you had no access to them for most of your life. So you still lived like a new person.
But in his case, his past self had done sothing to alter the normal procedure, he had found a way to give him information which unlocked a certain part of his mories.
Doing sothing like that was almost impossible, otherwise many would have tried.
Maybe so top level cultivators would be able to do it too, but since they were already at the top of the world, why would they reincarnate and live a life of uncertainty.
He was definitely an anomaly, no doubt he had succeeded and could now even cultivate the chaos law, but since he was too weak, he could die at any mont.
The world of cultivation was far more unpredictable than anyone’s imagination, what if so mad cultivator, who was strong enough to destroy the world, ca to this world and destroyed it.
No doubt the heavens of the destroyed world would put an unimaginable amount of negative karma on those who did this and any righteous cultivator would want to hunt a person with that much negative karma to obtain similarly high good karma, because the higher the amount of karma you had the more heavenly fortune favours you.
You would get more treasures and ease breakthroughs while comprehending the Dao, this was the Heavens way of rewarding you for having good karma.
But this would not stop those who cultivated evil Dao, their cultivation techniques were based on negative karma, so they would definitely do such things no matter what. The only good thing was that the upper realm was divided into multiple realm’s.
And both righteous and evil cultivators had their own parts of the upper realm, so the existence of evil cultivators in this part of the upper realm was almost negligible, as this world existed in the righteous part known as the Heavenly Realm.
So at least he was safer here for the ti being, he was happy to be born here, it was definitely the Heavenly Fortune Scroll’s doing, otherwise he might have been born in so unrestrained place, where death and life depended on luck.
The only reason he was hesitating to tell his master and aunt about reincarnation was because their views about him might change, although chances were they would not care as they were already very close, but for the ti being he did not want anything to happen to their relationship.
He would definitely tell them about reincarnation in the near future when all his mories returned, but for now he would live like a normal Lin Feng.
He looked into the eyes of his aunt. "Aunt, there definitely is one more surprise left but I will tell you about it later, not right now."
Xuan Lian understood, she nodded. "Do not worry, I can wait."
...
The competition went on, the fights were normal, only those who were stronger were winning. After Lin Feng’s duel, no one with eye opening techniques appeared. It was normal, as at this young age no one was good in techniques.
In everyone’s eyes Lin Feng was an anomaly and might be the only one in the whole world.
In the evening the fights of the Foundation Establishnt realm finished. There were a lot more Foundation Establishnt disciples than Qi Refinent, and the fights also took more ti, so it took far more ti to complete this stage.
After that everyone went back, the competition would resu tomorrow. Lin Feng was not interested in watching further competition, he would not get any insights even if he watched higher level cultivators fight. He was far above them in matters of technique.
He would cultivate from tomorrow, getting stronger as early as possible was most important for him.
When everyone left and only those who were on the main platform remained, Xuan Xue looked at Li Xiang.
Li Xiang understood and nodded. "I, Li Xiang, take heavenly oath to not disclose anything to anyone about what had happened here."
Lin Feng was surprised, he did not know that they were going to swear heavenly oath.
After saying that Li Xiang looked at Wu Jian and nodded for him to do the sa.
Wu Jian took a small breath. "I, Wu Jian, take heavenly oath to not disclose anything to anyone about what had happened here."
After that Zhan Tian spoke. "I, Zhan Tian, take heavenly oath to not disclose anything to anyone about what I had seen here."
i Hua followed. "I, i Hua, take heavenly oath to not disclose anything to anyone about what had transpired here."
When they were all done Zhan Tian stood up. "I shall take my leave now." He took out a rope. "This is a Vein Locking Rope, it can block the spirit qi of cultivators in the Foundation Establishnt realm and below."
He sent the rope flying in front of Lin Feng while saying that. Lin Feng caught it and gave a small bow.
Zhan Tian then took out a spirit ring and gave it to Xuan Lian. When she looked inside she nodded. "Fellow Daoist Zhan Tian is really magnanimous."
Zhan Tian shook his head and placed his hand on i Hua’s shoulder and they both disappeared.
Lin Feng did not know if he would get a treasure from Senior Li Xiang or not, since it was a challenge from their side instead of the normal way. Just as he was thinking, a pair of boots appeared in front of him.
They were white and looked ethereal. Looking at them he was sure that they were not ordinary treasures. Treasures were mainly two types, the first were bound by cultivation realm, they required a specific amount of spirit qi to activate and show their full might.
The other type was that which was not bound by grade, these treasures depended on the strength of the cultivator using them. They were rare and far more expensive.
Lin Feng was sure that this treasure was the second type, and as expected he heard his master’s voice, she looked genuinely surprised.
"Are you sure, Li Xiang, they are your favourite boots, I still rember how you used to boast about them to "
