Chapter 319: Let’s Head Back

Indeed Mu Yao was walking in the direction which was taking her deeper into the forest.

"Don’t worry, after one month we will pick her up." He said while patting Hei Ying, who wasn’t able to see Mu Yao due to her weak strength, and Lin Feng knew that she wasn’t feeling good right now.

They were hiding in clouds that were quite low due to the moisture released from the forest.

...

Ten days passed, and Mu Yao was eating a fruit from a tree she had found. It looked quite plump and ripe, so given her growing hunger she wasn’t able to hold herself back.

Lin Feng, who was watching her, got dumbfounded. She really didn’t care if those fruits were poisonous or not. In fact, even without touching them he was certain that they were poisonous, just not deadly poisonous.

It was his fault. He should have taught her how to at least create flas using her spirit qi. She had killed many beasts in the last ten days but hadn’t eaten them.

He wondered if her physique would be able to handle it or not. Weak poisons might not affect her much if she didn’t eat too much.

...

Mu Yao was totally lost in the sweet taste when she felt a tingling sensation in her stomach. "Eh?"

She looked at the fruit for few breaths and quietly put it down. She knew that it wouldn’t be good for her to eat it more. It was definitely harming her. Well, she got sothing to eat. It would be enough for a long ti. She just didn’t want to eat raw at.

Rustle!!

She looked toward the sound warily. She had fought many beasts, and she wasn’t afraid of them. It was the exhaustion.

In the past ten days she had slept on trees, but due to the sound of beasts she wasn’t able to get proper sleep.

She also knew that she was lost in the forest right now, or else in ten days she would have definitely gotten out of it.

She had one option. It was to use the talisman senior brother had given her, but she didn’t want to do it. It would be a sign of her giving up. She still wanted to try to get out on her own.

Currently she always climbed the tallest tree to see the landscape and walked in the direction where the trees were getting smaller and smaller in height.

RUSTLE!!

A black python multiple tis the size of Mu Yao ca out of the bush.

Mu Yao imdiately frowned as she felt that the snake was much stronger than the beasts she had faced till now.

Hisss!

She stood up at its hissing. Should she run? She doubted that she would be faster than it inside this forest.

HISSSS!

The python didn’t give her much choice. After hissing, it lunged at her. Its speed was quite fast, but Mu Yao was able to join her forearms to protect herself.

THUDDD!

The impact was enough to send Mu Yao tumbling back, but she was able to control herself. This gave her a rough idea that the beast wasn’t stronger than her, at least in terms of physical strength.

She wasn’t happy though, as snake-type beasts are known for their flexibility and speed, not their strength. If it wrapped around her, then it would be over for her.

As if her thoughts were heard by the snake, it imdiately slithered its way to her. Instead of trying to injure her with a frontal attack, it went to strangle her.

Mu Yao wasn’t going to let that happen. She imdiately dodged to the side, but suddenly the tail of the python ca at her with imnse speed.

Mu Yao’s eyes widened. She imdiately wanted to buckle her knees to dodge that, but the speed of the tail was too much and it hit her. At least at the last mont she was able to put her arms in the way.

THUMPPP!

The impact she felt from the tail was far more than from its head, and she flew for so distance before hitting a tree.

THUDD!

"Cough!"

She fell into the bush as her breath got stuck, and both her hands were trembling due to the impact. Her back was bruised too, as the bark of the tree was sharp like scales. "It hurts... bad snake."

As she got hold of herself, she saw a sharp bone lying near her. She hesitated a little, but in the end she picked it up. "It’s just a bone. It’s definitely not a weapon. Senior brother can’t bla ."

Just as she finished speaking, she heard the slithering of the python. It was coming for her. She hid it inside her robe. She had to use it at the right ti to kill it.

She imdiately stood up and moved backward toward another clearing, and the python slithered its way in too. It didn’t stop and did the sa maneuver, but this ti Mu Yao was able to dodge it.

But the snake was too fast, and her way of dodging was too awkward. The tail again swiped at her, and this ti it aid at her leg. Mu Yao jumped, but the tail moved a little upward, hitting her at the ankles.

Thump!

"Shhkk... Noooo." Mu Yao cried in pain as her ankle broke due to it hitting at an unwanted position where her foot was loose.

She fell to the ground and stayed there, as she wasn’t able to stand up.

....

"Should we help?" The Boa spoke as it felt that this was the end.

"Wait a little more." Lin Feng would help when the ti ca.

....

Mu Yao gritted her teeth and started pushing her back away from the snake. Not being able to move was a dire situation for her. Now she could only rely on the bone she had. If she missed, then she would.... No, she couldn’t think about it.

The python, on the other hand, got slower than before. It knew that its prey wouldn’t be able to escape now. It slowly slithered its way toward Mu Yao, who had reached a tree and was sitting with her back to it.

Most of her wounds were already healed, but it seed her ankle was also healing. Injuries to bones healed slowly.

She looked at the python with a little fear. No matter how much she denied it, she was at limit.

The python could sll her fear. It imdiately struck in an attempt to swallow her from the head. Mu Yao beca focused and, while pushing herself sideways, she put both her hands into its mouth while holding the sharp bone in an upright position.

HISSSSS!

The python began thrashing as the bone got lodged in its upper and lower jaw. If it closed its mouth even a little, it would penetrate its head.

Mu Yao pulled herself aside and watched the snake thrashing around, fighting for its life. She finally stood up on one leg and decided to leave the area.

She walked slowly, and gradually her bone got healed too. She was totally tired right now. She found a big tree and began climbing it to rest. She hoped that no other snake was on this tree, or else it would be her end.

She felt relieved when she didn’t find anything and fell into sleep.

....

"Too defenseless." Lin Feng sighed. Lin Feng could sense a tiny snake above in the canopy of the tree, and it was a poisonous type.

If it decided to strike her, then she definitely wouldn’t survive. He patted the Boa. "Kill it."

"Alright." Boa sent a small wisp which froze the snake on the branch it was curled up on.

....

The next ten days passed, and Mu Yao ca out of the forest with a totally haggard expression. She was happy nonetheless as she made it. "Finally."

She imdiately took out the talisman and broke it.

Lin Feng didn’t imdiately appear in front of her. He waited for so ti so that she didn’t figure out that he was present here. It would be useful for her future training, if she thinks that she really have to face everything alone.

Only after a few minutes he decided to visit her, and looking at her excited eyes waiting for complints, he decided not to say the words that she took a long ti. "Good work..."

He used his qi to clean her and passed her a new robe. Although qi refinent cultivators weren’t able to use qi outside their bodies, they could still use it on themselves, and that was to clean themselves and create small flas on their fingertips. He had to teach her that.

Mu Yao was happy hearing that. "I am hungry, senior brother..."

Lin Feng had brought a lot of fruits, so he passed them to her and watched her devour them in the blink of an eye.

Once she was done, he shook his head. "Let’s head back."

He gestured, and Boa appeared with Hei Ying.

"Wuuuu..." Hei Ying imdiately jumped at Mu Yao, and Mu Yao imdiately beca happy. "I missed you too."
