Capítulo 962: I am taking it back
Spending the rest of the day with his beauties completely dissipated all traces of frustration and weariness Wu Long had from dealing with troubleso matters outside.
And in the evening he took ti to focus on carefully reviewing his new gains.
As soon as Wu Long formally obtained the tal Rune, he could feel a certain qualitative change in all five of the Dao Runes corresponding to the Five Elents.
There was now a connection that bound all five together, forming a cycle that almost instantly reached a mysterious and profound balance. And his perception toward each of them grew sharper and more profound, both individually and as a collective whole.
The first change that ca with it was perception. He saw the world around him through a new perspective. Not through the five human senses, or the sixth sense of an experienced warrior, not through the Spiritual Senses and Soul Power of a cultivator, or through his newer senses that ca from Fen Baihu’s bloodline, not even through the lens of one of his most precious techniques the – Chaos Origin Eyes; but through the lens of the world itself – through the very existence of everything around him that was ford of the five elents.
He previously had sothing remotely similar with individual Dao Runes, but it was on a completely different level. Not only did they all give him only a partial perception of only one elent each, but the fundantal essence was qualitatively different.
The second change he obtained, was the cycle of five elents itself.
Previously he had to control each rune separately, be careful so that one did not interfere with another, and most crucially, there was a lot of waste of Spiritual Qi and ntal power since he would draw out the power of each Dao Rune on its own, and then discard it.
Now he could seamlessly cycle the power from one Dao Rune to another without dissipating it, freely transforming elental power between all five, and every combination in between.
He could also more naturally strengthen the power of one elent by supporting it with the other that complented it in the cycle.
And the third change, was that the inherent profound power of this cycle of elents could affect his other abilities, such as his techniques and even bloodline abilities. Not through direct addition of elental power, but through the fundantal mysterious power that was born when all of them reached a balance. That power contained a kind of fundantal law.
These were the three big gains that he was certain about, and there was also a high chance of there being other benefits that he was yet to be aware of.
Of course, even for those he was certain about, these benefits did not just appear. Wu Long only sensed these were sothing that could be possible, not that he could imdiately do it. He still needed to put in ti and effort to learn, and then get proficient with the uses of this new power.
Just the first aspect of complete, comprehensive view of all elents at once expanding his perception was already quite overwhelming even for his powerful consciousness. At least for the ti being, he was not able to use it at the sa ti with the perception that his Nightmare Fox bloodline gave him, having to switch between one or the other at a ti.
However, while this specific feeling was unique and indeed completely new, it was in its essence not entirely unfamiliar to him as soone who already experienced seeing the world from the perspective of higher cultivation realms.
‘To obtain sothing like this when I’m just a Mortal Transcendence Realm cultivator… how bizzare’, he chuckled at the absurdity of gaining this type of sensory perception at this early stage of his cultivation since this level was not sothing he expected to obtain until a lot later, ‘Then again, I’m lucky that I had similar experience…’
It was part of the reason he was able to start adapting to his new senses and wasn’t imdiately disoriented, although he still had a long way to go toward completely grasping it. At the mont, he had to purposely dull it down to be able to use it, just like he had to with the perception given by his Nightmare Fox bloodline.
He now also confird the reason that obtaining all Five Elents Dao Runes before advancing into Seven Profound Realms felt instinctively crucial to him.
Being the Great Realm that opened up one’s senses to Elental Attribute Qi, advancing into it offered a unique insight. Not exactly the sa, but sothing akin to enlightennt. This key mont was what usually awakened the Elental Attribute of a cultivator in Essence Awakening Realm.
And what Wu Long could gain from that enlightennt with his current expanded perception toward elental attributes was far more profound than if he had advanced without it. It was not that he couldn’t gain the Fire Rune and tal Rune after advancing, it was that he would have missed out on this opportunity to gain this insight.
Thinking of the opportunity that opened up before him, his eyes revealed a glint of anticipation.
At the sa ti, he retained his usual calm and was able to keep his impatience in check.
After all, he was well aware that haste, unchecked excitent, and excessive eagerness often led to foolish and avoidable mistakes, general shortsightedness, as well as missed opportunities.
‘I’ll need to review everything first’, he thought, feeling the need to go through the complete checklist of everything he had to do and prepare, as well as everything he had to keep track of before going into seclusion, to not lose control of the situation during the period he would be focused on advancing into Essence Awakening Realm, and then a glint appeared in his eyes, “But first…”
He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to focus.
When he sensed the possibility that the cycle of the five Dao Runes was capable of affecting his other abilities, it wasn’t a coincidental or lucky discovery. He first felt that through the one ability he was most sensitive to – his Dual Cultivation core technique, the Dual Extres Infinite Unity Art. Any changes to it were inevitably discovered by him.
Thus, although directly enhancing any of his abilities with the cycle of five Dao Runes was perhaps currently out of his reach, it wasn’t that certain with Dual Cultivation techniques. With those, he had enough confidence to start experinting right away even with his almost non-existent grasp of the hidden power of the cycle of five elents.
He just had to focus on that subtle sense of change in the Dual Extres Infinite Unity Art itself, and through his mastery, as well as his sensitive awareness of his own Dual Cultivation Arts, intuitively feel the way to access the part of it that was affected.
He also wasn’t over-ambitious, setting a relatively low goal and thus his task was quite simple, raising his chances of success. All he currently wanted, was slightly heightened insight and perception toward the bonds created by Dual Extres Infinite Unity Art, nothing more.
Just that little change alone gave him a chance of doing sothing that was on his mind for so ti now.
After a few hours, the corners of his lips involuntarily twitched up in a rare display of not being able to control his emotions. His eyes were still closed, but his whole presence radiated joy.
‘Found it…’, he clenched his fists.
At the sa ti, Fen Baihu, who purposefully retracted her attention from Wu Long just in case her presence could distract him at so crucial point, suddenly felt her connection with him through the bond of Dual Extres Infinite Unity Art intensify.
She was currently sitting in Gong Cui’s lap in her small fox form, as everyone were gathering back at the main mansion, many helping Wei Lan with preparations for dinner, others like Bi Rui, Feng Yi, ng Qi and Gong Cui, who were permanently banned from stepping into the kitchen by Wei Lan, as well as those who arrived when there was already enough helpers like Ye Ling and Lian Zhiqiu just chatting.
Fen Baihu instantly attracted attention from everyone around when she perked up her ears and opened her eyes wide, turning her head to look in the direction of Wu Long’s training grounds within the Dream Realm mansion.
She then instantly understood that Wu Long was finally able to grasp the part of connection between them that Yuanfen helped her find before, the one that enabled her to connect with him even if he was far away.
As Ye Ling was about to ask the Celestial Fox what made her so surprised, it was her turn to widen her eyes and looking in the sa direction, as she sensed her connection through the bond strengthen as well.
Soon, there was no need for anyone to ask any questions, as they all felt it.
For about half an hour, they could feel a heightened sense of connection to Wu Long. It was possible to tell that he was exploring their bonds, studying them in detail in search of sothing. And then, the feeling gradually subsided. However, their bonds to him did not completely revert to how they felt like before. None of them were able to pinpoint the difference exactly, but there was sothing that felt new.
A few monts later, they could all sense his rapid approach, until he appeared before them with a wide smile on his face, stepping out as if from thin air and gently floating down to softly land.
He could instantly see the intense emotions in Fen Baihu’s eyes, which made it obvious that she already guessed his intentions, ‘Heh, she’s so quick to catch on’
He then turned to Ye Ling, “Ling’er, I am taking Baihu’s Soul Bead back”
