"Behind these doors is the Lotus Spring Room," Su i whispered, her sultry voice dropping an octave. "It is the most exclusive lounge in the entire inner city. The won inside are the wives of wealthy rchants, high-ranking officials, and powerful clan elders. They have all the money in the empire... and absolutely nothing to do with it."

"They are very demanding, Kai. But if you play your cards right... they will reward you very, very generously."

The Lotus Spring Room was massive. The floor was made of heated white marble, centered around a large, bubbling hot spring pool that glowed with a faint, magical blue light. But it wasn't the decor that stopped Kai in his tracks.

She was wearing a sheer white robe that was completely soaked through from the steam, rendering it entirely transparent.
