Lin Chu didn’t know if he hadn’t returned to Riverfront Apartnt all night, or if he left too early.
When she woke up, the space next to her was empty.
Before waking Qi Ming, Lin Chu asked the servant, "Where is Lu Huai’an?"
The servant replied respectfully, "I’m not quite sure. Last night I didn’t hear the door open or close, and this morning I didn’t see sir co downstairs."
Lin Chu just nodded faintly, without much of a reaction.
There were only Lin Chu and Qi Ming at the dining table.
Qi Ming looked up at the corner of the second floor four tis and didn’t see Lu Huai’an, then lowered his head and seriously continued eating.
"Mom, can you call the teacher? The teacher said that students who don’t participate in the sports day don’t have to go to school today. I don’t want to go."
Lin Chu’s actions stiffened.
She put down the milk cup, stood up, and walked to the other side of the table to wipe her son’s hands with a napkin.
The sports day required parents to attend with their children, and she couldn’t play two roles.
Lu Huai’an, if you can’t do it, why make promises so readily?
If there were no expectations, there would be no disappointnt.
More than anyone, she knew her son’s subtle anticipation these days; he practiced in the backyard every day after school.
Once people have hope, they beco more upset when it falls through.
"Hmm, okay. The weather’s nice today, shall we go find An Ge to play?"
Qi Ming shook his head.
Lin Chu was a bit surprised, "Don’t want to? Why?"
The last ti at the amusent park, the two kids had a great ti; she knew her son really liked Pea.
Qi Ming lowered his head and answered softly, "Mom, you forgot. Sister already went ho, and she has her own brother."
Lin Chu knew An Ge had been taken back to Qing City, but she had forgotten.
"Then let’s go to the toy city, we can play all day."
As soon as Lin Chu finished speaking, the phone on the table buzzed.
It was Jiang Yichen.
He had co to An City.
Since a brief dinner a year ago, Lin Chu hadn’t seen him, "Will you be staying longer this ti?"
Jiang Yichen’s deep voice ca, "Yes, I probably will, a friend told they saw Muzhou in An City."
Jiang Muzhou...
When alone, Lin Chu often thought of this friend from her wild and flamboyant youth.
With news of Jiang Muzhou, she was very happy.
Qi Ming sat quietly beside her, not disturbing her, head bowed, and seeing this, Lin Chu felt a bit sorry.
She pressed her lips together, having made her decision.
"Brother Jiang, do you have ti today? I’d like your help with sothing."
Jiang Yichen had just arrived in An City with no important plans.
"I’m free all day, go ahead, as long as it’s sothing I can do, feel free to ask."

By the ti Lu Huai’an hurried to the kindergarten, the sports day was almost over.
Qi Ming was standing under the red flag receiving a dal, an unusual joy and brightness in his eyes.
Beside him was a little girl with a carved jade-like beauty, Lu Huai’an had seen her before; her smiling face was sowhat familiar.
Behind him was a couple, bathed in the sunset’s glow, like the most fitting pair from a magazine cover.
Even Lun Jun, who followed along, felt a bit touched seeing such a beautiful scene.
Retracting his gaze, he boldly looked at his superior.
His cold and stern features were indifferent as ever, without any unusual emotions, though the dark waves surging in his black eyes were growing more intense.
It was like the last calm before An Ye arrived.
"Mr. Lu..."
