"I’m going to the supermarket to buy so vegetables, you can stay in the car and rest for a while."
Words spoken so naturally, when heard by Mu Jin Huan, seed as if they were shared between an old married couple who had been together for years.
But at this mont, Nan Wan was clearly unaware of it.
The deep black eyes gradually cleared up, a barely-there smile appeared on his handso face, and his voice still carried a hint of morning hoarseness, "Let’s go together."
Nan Wan had initially wanted to say that getting out of the car into the cold wind right after waking up might cause a cold, but when the words reached her mouth, only a single syllable was left, "Mm."
After all, a man who has been in the military should have much better physical fitness than the average person, so she didn’t need to worry excessively.
...
It was the ti people get off work and head ho, so the supermarket was crowded, and it’s inevitable for passersby to bump into each other now and then.
Nan Wan picked up a shopping cart, but the man beside her discreetly took it over, and at the sa ti, they switched places.
Walking on the side closer to the shelves, Nan Wan was completely protected between his body and the shelves, essentially free from being bumped by passersby.
Nan Wan turned her head to look at him, and from this angle, the lines of his handso face appeared even more chiseled.
A business person in a suit and leather shoes stood out quite a bit in the supermarket; glances occasionally fell their way, but he remained unfazed, clearly accustod to such scenes.
He didn’t mind, and neither did she.
After turning the corner, they reached the vegetable section. Mu Jin Huan asked, "What are we missing?"
Nan Wan knew this al was her owing him, so her gaze swept over the neatly arranged fresh vegetables, "Just pick what you like."
For food for two, they didn’t need much, and it wouldn’t take long.
Mu Jin Huan stopped walking, his deep black eyes looking playfully at the side of her face, speaking leisurely, "Do you think I’m soone skilled in this task?"
If Nan Wan hadn’t tasted the clear broth noodles he cooked by himself, she would definitely think not, "Soone who can cook should find picking vegetables isn’t too hard... right?"
She answered casually, but at the end, she suddenly felt uncertain, with an upbeat tone that seed mischievous.
Mu Jin Huan’s expression remained unchanged, "Regrettably, for , this is indeed a difficult task."
His culinary skills were limited to cooking a simple bowl of noodles.
Nan Wan didn’t find anything strange about it; a noble young man from a wealthy family who wasn’t just a playboy was already impressive, not to ntion that he already exceeded his peers by a long shot.
With servants handling daily chores, he didn’t need to do things himself, so lacking these non-essential skills was the norm.
Nan Wan stepped forward, walking ahead of him to start choosing the vegetables, but not knowing his preferences, she had to ask, "So what do you like to eat?"
Mu Jin Huan, with one hand on the shopping cart’s handle, followed slowly behind her, his eyes burning as he watched her figure and borrowed her previous words to answer, "Just choose what you like."
Raising a hand to tuck her hair behind her ear, her voice was light, "I’m not picky."
Hearing this, the curvature of Mu Jin Huan’s lips began to rise slowly; his voice was low and deep, with a trace of laughter, "Easy to please."
