He had been drunk and overco by lust, and now he couldn’t help but feel so regret. What if...
The man looked at Gu Shaozhi and smiled ingratiatingly, "I was just joking with Miss Ji. Mr. Gu, you’re a generous man. Could you not hold it against ?"
"Watch your words in the future. If your parents didn’t educate you well and have the money, I don’t mind funding so tuition for you to go back to school and study for a few more years," Gu Shaozhi smirked with an ambiguous expression, his voice elegant and indifferent, "Not just anyone is for you to touch."
This was a warning.
Being humiliated in public, the man’s face looked terrible, maintaining a stiff smile, "Don’t worry, Mr. Gu, it won’t happen again."
...
A warm blazer was draped over her shoulders. Wanxia raised her hand to pull it off and threw it aside, "I’m not cold, I don’t need it."
There were many people in the bar, all watching them.
Gu Shaozhi wasn’t angry; he picked up the coat from the sofa again and draped it over the woman, his voice gentle, "This place is not very nice. If you still want to drink, I’ll take you ho to drink."
Seemingly impatient, Wanxia propped herself up on the bar and stood up, holding her dead phone, staggering past the man.
Not only did she not answer his question, but she also felt it was unnecessary to even glance at him.
The night wind was chilly, and Wanxia was dressed too thinly. She sneezed as soon as she walked out of the bar.
Just as she was stepping down the stairs, her body lost balance, and she tumbled towards the ground.
Gu Shaozhi was walking right behind her, so naturally, he wouldn’t let her fall. He caught her slender waist and pulled her into his embrace before lifting her horizontally.
Wanxia’s delicate brows knitted into a knot as she breathed heavily due to her cold, her words carrying a nasal tone, "Gu Shaozhi, did I ask you to hold ?"
She wasn’t very good at drinking in the first place. The alcohol in her system began to fernt, blurring her vision and leaving her weak, even her punches against the man’s shoulder were soft and feeble.
There was no parking at the bar entrance; Gu Shaozhi’s car was parked across the street.
The woman’s pushes and refusals didn’t cause any real pain. Still, the two arms raised in front blocked his view. His steps didn’t falter, as he looked down at the woman and warned in a deep voice, "Don’t move around, behave yourself."
How could Wanxia behave?
She used the last of her strength to struggle, her mouth muttering sothing indistinctly, but in the end, she was thrown into the passenger seat.
The man’s actions weren’t gentle. Her mind was fuzzy, drunken, all her reactions were much slower than usual.
By the ti her vision cleared up slightly, the car door was already locked.
The man leaned in to fasten Wanxia’s seatbelt. She shrank into the corner, resisting his touch with her whole body, her long hair disheveled over her cheeks, hiding most of her small face.
"Gu Shaozhi, you’re so annoying, let’s break up."
They were adults, their relationship more complicated than child’s play. From the day she climbed into his bed, whether they stayed together or apart, she couldn’t decide alone.
When Gu Shaozhi heard those words ’break up’, his hands froze in the air, as if ice lingered from his hair down to his fingertips.
The car was deathly silent.
His cold and stern features showed no sign of change, as calm as usual, except for the deepest darkness in those black eyes, so intense it was almost tangible.
Gu Shaozhi coldly stared at the woman’s profile hidden beneath her hair, his facial lines cold and sharp as if chiseled by a knife.
For a while.
His stiff arms returned to normal, wrapping the woman’s thin body in a prepared blanket. She wasn’t very cooperative, but he had patience.
His thin lips parted slightly, speaking mildly, "Go ahead and cause trouble, if I agree, I lose."
After fastening Wanxia’s seatbelt, Gu Shaozhi started the car. He drove slowly, accommodating the drunken beauty who was prone to carsickness.
The heater was on in the car. Wrapped up like a cocoon by the man, Wanxia leaned against the car window curled into a corner. Her cold body was gradually warming up, and she regained feeling in her hands and feet.
Outside, the night was blurry, the glow of distant neon lights blending into one.
Wanxia lowered her head, her drunken eyes smiling dreamily, "Gu Shaozhi, didn’t you already know? I can’t handle sleeping with you. I hurt, and you’re not all that comfortable either. You’re a man, what’s the point of keeping a vase you can’t touch? Plus, I make you unhappy every day. Keeping by your side would be painful."
The alcohol in her stomach seed to be eroding her insides, her empty stomach faintly aching. She felt very uncomfortable, so it took her a while to say these words.
Her voice was also low, so words indistinct.
"Maybe I’m just ant for suffering," Gu Shaozhi said, steering with a cold and distant profile, "Wanwan, you could ask your brother for help. He still has quite so connections in An City. It’s been a long ti since I’ve had a falling out over a woman."
His attitude was clear.
Wanxia chuckled lightly, "Are you trying to annoy ?"
Her brother and sister-in-law went through so much to have the stable life they have now. How could she trouble them again?
At a red light, Gu Shaozhi stopped the car.
He unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned over towards the woman, his slender fingers brushing aside the hair scattered on her face, planting a kiss as light as a feather on her lips.
His handso face softened considerably, even the long-dark hawk-like eyes showing tender, indulgent affection, "No, I’m just telling you, I will not let you have the chance to disappear from my side again."
Gentle yet forceful—that was Mr. Gu’s usual thod.
Wanxia was wrapped in that large blanket, only her neck and above free. There was only so much space in the car, she had nowhere to escape.
Her gaze was distant and unfocused, a light smile playing at her brows and eyes, as if looking at him, yet not really...
"Gu Shaozhi, do you love ?"
Gu Shaozhi seed unprepared for her sudden question, still in a montary daze, but he opened his mouth and answered, "Yes, I love you."
There wasn’t a hint of hesitation or insincerity.
"Really?" Wanxia burst into laughter. She really found it amusing, laughing until she cried, "Your way of loving is quite sothing."
He knew what she wanted, and he gave it, but the result was so ridiculous in the end.
She was once more repeating the sa mistakes.
Gu Shaozhi held her chin, not letting her evade, "You don’t believe it?" His voice was low and calm, "Wanwan, do you not believe I love you?"
His focused and earnest gaze made Wanxia very uncomfortable.
Having nowhere to hide, she closed her eyes, a cool smile on her lips, "You do love , but maybe... you love Shen Weiyi more."
First loves for n are sothing they never forget.
