Shen Zhii glanced at her and said softly, "You threw up at lunch."
When she was pregnant with Jiashu, she couldn’t stand any fishy sll at all and would feel nauseous at the sight of greasy food.
"I watched a particularly disgusting movie last night, the main character is a psychopath who eats raw animal organs," Nan Wan calmly explained, "I suddenly thought of it while eating, so I got nauseous."
Shen Zhii looked at Nan Wan skeptically, unable to find any sign of lying on her face, she sighed in disappointnt, "Oh, then I got happy for nothing."
Just as she was about to turn her head, she suddenly saw a man coming out of the elevator. She elbowed Nan Wan beside her and teased with a smile, "Speak of the devil."
Wasn’t Mr. Mu supposed to be on a business trip?
Nan Wan instinctively looked towards the right side of the corridor, that tall and upright figure was walking towards them with his back against the light, the sound of his leather shoes on the floor getting closer.
As he approached, his features beca clearer little by little.
"I’ll go to the restroom, then go downstairs to buy you a cup of hot tea," Shen Zhii stood up, stretched her stiff neck, and chose to take the stairs.
The surgery might still be halfway through, she needed to find sothing to do for herself, ten minutes downstairs, ten minutes to buy tea, fifteen minutes back upstairs.
That way ti would go by faster.
Mu Jin Huan stopped in front of the woman, bent down to stroke her sowhat pale face, his voice low and gentle, "Have you had lunch?"
Nan Wan turned her head to avoid his touch, not looking into those deep eyes, she didn’t answer his question, her voice was faint, "Weren’t you on a business trip?"
"President Mu just got off the plane, didn’t even have a drink of water before rushing over," Liu An tily interjected.
Mu Jin Huan’s hand paused in the air, his face showing no sign of embarrassnt, he straightened up, his calm gaze swept towards Liu An, who wisely walked away, turning his back.
The man sat down in the seat next to her, Nan Wan lowered her head and said, "You should go back, you must be very tired."
There was a faint trace of fatigue in his eyes, but she saw it.
"Concerned about ?" Mu Jin Huan curled his lips slightly, "Then why didn’t you answer my call?"
As he spoke, he reached out to hold her hand.
Nan Wan brushed aside the man’s arm, moved one seat over, her delicate features held a faint, almost imperceptible air of casualness, "I was busy looking for a lawyer, President Mu keeps stalling and won’t divorce, I’m very annoyed."
That night, Yu Qinglu said, he would not divorce.
Nan Chengzhi is now bedridden, even if Brother wakes up tomorrow, the Nan Family is still in Nan Huaiyu’s hands.
She couldn’t take the gamble.
Mu Jin Huan’s expression remained calm, her aloofness seed to be sothing he expected.
The coat of his suit was unbuttoned, under the white shirt were distinctly defined abs, one long leg crossed over the other elegantly, noble and graceful, "No rush, there are many law firms in Qing City, perhaps there’s one I don’t know about."
It was undeniable, such nonchalant words could most easily stir up a person’s anger.
Nan Wan’s hand on her lap clenched and then relaxed, her gaze was faint as she looked out the window, "You don’t even like that much, why go through so much trouble holding on to ?"
Mu Jin Huan didn’t directly answer her question, he simply said, "When we got married, I never thought about getting a divorce."
...
When Shen Zhii returned outside the operating room, she brought back three cups of coffee, a green tea for Nan Wan.
Liu An was flattered, he even stopped smoking.
Taking advantage of Mu Jin Huan stepping away to take a call, Shen Zhii nudged Nan Wan’s head with her finger and scolded with a hint of displeasure, "He just got back and you’re throwing a tantrum, going overboard, aren’t you?"
Mr. Mu offered warmth and concern, while Mrs. Mu seed indifferent.
Nan Wan shifted one seat further, the hot tea ward her stomach, she drank a few more sips, "Worry about yourself, I’m not arguing with you, why ddle so much?"
Shen Zhii, "..."
After finishing his call, Mu Jin Huan turned off his phone, returned to the long bench, his coffee cup had been knocked over by a passing nurse, feeling a little thirsty, he naturally took the half cup of tea remaining in Nan Wan’s hand.
After taking two sips, he asked her, "It’s a bit cold, should I have Liu An go down and buy you another cup?"
Liu An witnessed the entire process and felt he might need to redefine the word ’germaphobe’.
Nan Wan declined lightly, "No need."
With this lukewarm attitude, Mu Jin Huan didn’t seem to mind much, his eyes remained undisturbed, quietly accompanying her waiting.
As the sun set, the light in the corridor dimd. Knowing they wouldn’t have an appetite for dinner, Mu Jin Huan had Liu An buy back bread and hot milk.
