"What is... that?"

Outside the castle, a group of Casters and Professionals rescuing refugees looked up towards the distance.

Each of them cast Eagle Eye Skill and gazed at the fire-cloud.

But the fire-cloud was too dense and too distant, even Eagle Eye Skill couldn’t completely discern it for a while.

"Roar!!!!!!!"

At that mont, a terrifying roar pierced through the rain, the storm, the earthquake, and the cries of countless people, reaching the ears of the Casters and Professionals.

They trembled all over.

One of them exclaid, "This... seems like... a dragon roar!"

"Dragon roar?"

"No, that’s impossible! You must’ve heard wrong! How could a Giant Dragon possibly co to our Laine Royal Capital in this manner..."

The group was deeply alard.

Throughout the Kingdom, natural disasters raged, and both the Sword Saint and the Saint of Magic were absent.

At this mont, they couldn’t withstand devastation!

"Roar!!!!!!!"

The dragon roar echoed continuously, becoming ever clearer.

So of the more knowledgeable Casters and Professionals had already confird with about ninety percent certainty that it indeed was a dragon roar!

"Damn! We’re dood! If this dragon is hostile towards us, how do we resist it now?"

"Don’t panic! No matter when, the Crossbown on the walls are stationed there; they must have already sensed the approaching danger!"

"Right! As long as any unknown aerial monster approaches, the Dragon-Hunting Crossbow will shoot it down; everyone can safely continue the rescue!"

The group shouted loudly, preparing to redirect their efforts towards rescuing.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The sounds of terrifying sonic booms erupted.

Upon the walls, at least a dozen Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Cannons fired Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Arrows with terrifying montum towards the fire-cloud!

Whoosh whoosh whoosh~

One Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Arrow after another pierced through the sea of fire, carving paths within the fire-cloud!

At this mont, they barely saw so anomalies within the flaming cloud.

A Dragon Wing wrapped in flas softly flapped, and sothing resembling a tail appeared intermittently in the fire-cloud.

It took only a few breaths.

The gaps carved by the Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Arrows in the fiery cloud sea closed again!

At that instant, several more Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Arrows were fired!

Plumting straight onto the recently positioned monster’s body!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Three Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Arrows broke through the fiery cloud sea and landed right on the monster.

The shockwave from their collision dispersed all surrounding fire-cloud!

At that mont, everyone clearly saw the true appearance of the monster within the fire-cloud!

It was indeed a dragon!

Its body covered in black scales, reflecting red against the fire-cloud, its chest and abdon flickered with a bewitching and eerie red glow.

Its blood-red eyes glimred; even from several kiloters away, it was clearly visible, ferocious to the extre, making people shudder just by looking.

Yet fortunately, this dragon was hit by the Dragon-Hunting Crossbow. It seed severely injured; maybe it couldn’t reach the Royal Capital?

Many couldn’t help but harbor this notion in their minds.

But soon, they discovered sothing amiss.

From several kiloters away.

Why did the Dragon-Hunting Crossbow look so small?

Stuck on the chest, forelimbs, and other parts of this Giant Dragon, it seed like a re twig piercing a person’s chest, far too tiny!

Weren’t Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Arrows supposed to be at least several ters long? So even reaching over ten ters! But what was this?

Could it be that in this matter, rchants were cheating by using inferior materials? Damn it! Were they courting death?

But at the next mont, they had no questions left!

The Giant Dragon, which was directly struck by three Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Arrows, lightly flapped its Dragon Wings again, heading towards the Royal Capital!

Yet the spots that were hit revealed not even a trace of blood...

How could this be? It ignored the Dragon-Hunting Crossbow?

Was it a rchant problem or a Giant Dragon problem?

Everyone felt surprise, fear, and anger!

"Roar!!!!!!!"

The Giant Dragon roared again, this ti clearly carrying intense rage!

Rumble!!!!!!

At this mont.

A lightning bolt suddenly streaked across the dark sky!

Accompanied by a rumble.

A Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Cannon on the wall was struck directly!

It subsequently exploded in a burst of sparks!

Was this, coincidence?

Boom!!!

Another lightning bolt streaked through.

A nearby Dragon-Hunting Crossbow exploded into smoke and sparks!

Was it truly coincidence?

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Lightning continuously fell in succession, each ti accurately hitting a Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Cannon, exploding them into fireworks!

Within re breaths, all Dragon-Hunting Crossbow Cannons atop the wall were cleared!

This was no coincidence!

A terrifying reality beca clear in everyone’s mind!

These lightning bolts might be under the control of that Giant Dragon!

Then... could the storm? The torrential rain? The earthquake be controlled by the dragon too? If all this were true, what kind of being could achieve this?

Their bodies started to shake uncontrollably.

The fire-cloud drew ever closer, ever closer.

Until it swept past the city wall.

"Don’t let it co closer! Attack! Everyone, attack!"

Soone shouted at that mont.

Groups of Casters and Professionals began launching attacks toward the fire-cloud.

Countless Ice Spikes, Wind Blades, Deep Blue Missiles, Five-Colored Beams, Energy-Ford Spider Webs, ropes, and arrows blasted into the fire-cloud.

But.

Many of these spells and attacks, upon nearing the fire-cloud, were burned away, only a few spells truly reached the fire-cloud.
