Chapter 676: Chapter 678: Swordswoman Lends a Hand

As the wind changed abruptly, the earth had already transford into a terrifying flowing sand, slowly creeping yet devouring millions of people like a gluttonous monster…

With the Wind Wave Dragon unleashing a cataclysmic breath of wind, curtains of yellow sand rose from the vast quicksand, and the piercing gale rcilessly lashed out, crushing everything into oblivion!

It was Zhu Minglang’s first ti using this scroll of wind disaster, and initially, he had trouble controlling its direction. When he noticed the massive Wind Wave Dragon in the dense clouds was bound to his spirit, Zhu Minglang imdiately adjusted the angle!

The wind ravaged, and sand filled the sky. When the terrifying wind disaster poured down on the people at the Temple of the Sparrow Wolf God, Zhu Minglang channeled spiritual power into the Rattling Sea Bell in his palm.

Zhu Minglang had previously wondered why, when facing the people at Hongtian Peak, the power of the Rattling Sea Bell was much stronger than during his prior experints.

After using the scroll of wind disaster, Zhu Minglang felt that this was largely because his station had elevated. A Divine Chosen could unlock more powerful seals, indicating that the Rattling Sea Bell might indeed be a Divine Aid!

As the Rattling Sea Bell chid, a massive rift appeared out of thin air, and raging tides surged forth wildly, as if connected to a ferocious sea. The endless tumultuous waves flooded toward the land!

Wind and tide complent each other. With the wind disaster already impacting the Golden Orb Beasts of the Temple of the Sparrow Wolf God greatly, the augntation of the Voodoo Tide with the power of the Wind Wave turned it all into a calamitous storm tide, its power dreadfully imnse. It swept away the Temple’s beasts arrayed in formation, like birds and beasts toppled by a flood!

Standing atop his own Golden Orb Beast, Shang Hanxu could barely believe his eyes as he watched the horrifying scene sweep towards them…

His Golden Orb Beast was also knocked over, drenched in the Voodoo Tide; Shang Hanxu himself staggered, nearly toppling multiple tis into the vicious stormy tides!

The encirclent by the Temple Camp was suddenly breached by Zhu Minglang with his scroll of wind disaster and the Rattling Sea Bell, opening a large gap. Pang Kai, Chief Guardian Whitehead, Elder He, and others were all surprised as they looked in Zhu Minglangs direction, wondering how Zhu Minglang managed to unleash such dreadful power, dispersing the Temple’s beast formation in one fell swoop and severely denting their morale.

“Damn it, which deity’s power did this guy borrow?” Shang Hanxu was pushed back several miles by the Voodoo Tide, his face sared with the sand carried by the wind.

The Voodoo Tide was toxic, causing the skins of the soaked beasts to rot away. So of the beasts even died directly in the storm tide, resulting in heavy losses for the army of the Temple of the Sparrow Wolf God.

Shang Hanxu did not have many Divine Aids at his disposal. After all, with so many issues arising over the years with their Sparrow Wolf God, his personal appearance could only achieve so much as this Hundred Miles Quicksand.

Now that they had been hit by such a blow of tide and wind disaster, their previously rciless montum was gone. Moreover, the forces following Zhu Minglang out of the city were indeed not weak. If it ca to a head-on clash, a flawless victory was not guaranteed.

Shang Hanxu was not brainless.

They had the God-blessed Hundred Miles Quicksand, and since the opponents could not solve it, all he needed to do was stall for ti. There was absolutely no need for a fight to the death with these people.

“Retreat. Hmph, I want to see how they’ll dredge this city-state out of the quicksand!” Shang Hanxu declared.

By giving up the hunt outside the city, they had also basically granted the city’s citizens a chance to survive.

As the people of the Temple of the Sparrow Wolf God retreated, the scattered forces had no reason to resist stubbornly. They, too, fell back, no longer daring to hunt down those who fled the city.

People continued to leave the city in trickles. The Army Guards inside could only prevent enemies from entering but had no ti to concern themselves with those who fled the Dragon City-State in various ways. The city had already begun to sink half a ter, and it was possible to see streets, houses, and the foundations of city walls subrged in the sand. The citizens, facing the disaster much like a devastating flood, began moving their belongings to higher ground, but if the sinking did not stop, moving their possessions would be aningless.

Now, many people in Ancestral Dragon City knew about the horrors of the night.

The vast majority within the city were unwilling to flee because once they were reduced to refugees, surviving under such harsh and terrible conditions would beco even more difficult. They did not want to beco people displaced by calamity…

Therefore, the battle outside the city was also crucial for them. They hoped that Li Yunzi and Zhu Minglang could protect the city, desiring a peaceful haven to reside in.

“How does it look? Are we all really going to die here?”

“Soone saw Zhu Minglang summon the Wind Wave Dragon and powerful tides, working with masters from all walks to drive back those who were hunting us as if we were livestock.”

“So it turns out Zhu Minglang is truly our guardian deity!”

“But if this quicksand doesn’t stop, we… alas, are we really a group abandoned by the heavens?”

Inside the city, people were panicking and anxious. The Hundred Miles Quicksand was an unavoidable disaster to them, and now they were helpless and despondent, with over a million people rely awaiting the sentence of death, insignificant and pitiful.

After tearing through the formation of the divine beasts’ army of Wolf God City, Zhu Minglang didn’t plan to retreat back into the city just yet.

The Dragon City-State could not be handed over, nor could millions of citizens of Ancestral Dragon City be dood to beco refugees. The most important thing at the mont was dealing with Shang Hanxu!

At all costs, they had to capture him—only then would there be a chance against the Sparrow Wolf God.

“We must capture him; we can’t let him continue to wear us down like this,” Zhu Minglang said to the few Peak King-level strongn beside him.

They nodded in agreent. They needed a quick battle to decide things quickly, as the speed at which the quicksand was consuming everything seed to be changing.

While discussing how to break through the Great Protectors of the Temple of the Sparrow Wolf God again, a striking figure stepped onto a blue and red sword, flying swiftly towards them. Her speed was fast, and her cultivation base was not low. So Tianshu Godiscipline Practitioners tried to engage her but were repelled by her Flying Sword.

“Master Wen?” the white-haired Chief Guardian said in surprise.

Wen Lingfei also wanted to seize Ancestral Dragon City, making her sowhat of an adversary. Her arrival now raised questions about her intentions.

“Before I take this city, I won’t allow others to snatch it. Those Tianshu vile forces will be chopped down no matter how many co,” Wen Lingfei declared.

As she spoke those words, several sharp sword lights appeared behind her. The sword radiance was like thunderbolts racing through the ranks, sweeping through the strongn from the Temple of the Sparrow Wolf God, toppling a swath of them in just a short ti!
