Chapter 1420: Chapter 1424: Black Corrosion

The solar black spot had vanished. Just as Zhu Minglang reached the Divine Weapon Pavilion, a powerful divine sense alerted him to a wave of energy surging from underground, sweeping across the Jiaoxiu Nine Provinces.

Zhu Minglang glanced toward Jiaoxiu, his heart filled with unease.

Another world safely “landing”?

No doubt, the people there must feel just as confused and helpless as he once did in the Supre Court, confronted with a completely foreign divine domain!

Zhu Minglang walked toward the Founding Fire Pavilion within the Divine Weapon Pavilion and handed the Golden Crow’s tail-eye to Zhu Heavenly Officer.

“Excellent, excellent. As expected of the Golden Crow’s tail—this energy within is wild and untad, perfectly suited for Big Black Tooth,” Zhu Heavenly Officer remarked, thoroughly pleased with what Zhu Minglang had brought.

“Is there anything else you need?” Zhu Minglang asked.

“No, I can take care of the rest myself. I’m starting the forging of the Dragon Heart now, so try not to disturb for the ti being!” Zhu Heavenly Officer’s eyes glead with a hint of excitent.

It seed this was his first ti working with materials of this magnitude. If he managed to forge a Dragon Heart that could enhance a dragon companion’s strength, it would open up an entirely new “booming business” for him!

“All right, I’ll leave Big Black Tooth in your capable hands then,” Zhu Minglang nodded.

“It’ll take three months at most. By then, you’ll have a Solar Corona Level forged Black Dragon!” Zhu Heavenly Officer declared.

“Heh heh, when the ti cos, anything I do will have you right there with .”

“Heh heh.”

When fortune smiles upon you, there’s no stopping it.

The ssage from Nan Lingsha was that the Golden Crow hadn’t reported being beaten to the Emperor Elder of the Heavenly Court.

Likewise, though the Green Kirin had witnessed the intercept of the Golden Crow, the solar black spot had obscured its vision, preventing it from identifying the assailant.

Most importantly, Empress Li’s Flare Sense had completely failed during the pseudo-eclipse. She was entirely unaware that Zhu Minglang had utilized the Sword Awakening State of the Heavenly Yuan Sword. Zhu Minglang had even sent Nie Qiqi to test her, and confird that she wasn’t pretending.

Soon enough, however, the elites of Jun Tian shifted their focus to the “solar black spot.”

It seed that the Star Continent that had fallen onto Jiaoxiu Nine Provinces was anything but ordinary. Zhu Minglang had overheard so news about it from his senior and junior brothers in the Southern Heavenly Palace.

“Junior Brother Zhu Lang, I think I need to make a trip back,” Song Hao said to Zhu Minglang with a serious expression.

“Senior Brother, could you tell more specifics?” Zhu Minglang asked.

“I’m not too sure of the details myself; I just have a bad feeling. The black Star Continent landed right at the Xu Shenshan System,” Song Hao replied.

“In that case, I’ll also head back to the Fang Clan and check on my people. I’m a bit worried about them,” Zhu Minglang said.

On that day, when he saw the solar black spot falling, Zhu Minglang already had a sense of foreboding.

Especially the shockwave that accompanied its descent—sothing about it was strange. When a colossal continent safely crashes, there should be significant earthquakes, air roars, and disrupted rivers.

But this ti, the solar black spot’s impact produced a ripple of darkness, only surging deep underground. Zhu Minglang, still in the Sword Awakening State of the Heavenly Yuan Sword, had a heightened divine sense that allowed him to detect the anomaly. Ordinary deities probably wouldn’t have noticed anything.

Summoning the Ten Thousand Dread-Earthbound Dragon, Zhu Minglang traveled at incredible speed this ti.

Back then, while training along the way, it had taken him nearly a year to reach the City of Ten Thousand Miles. But now, returning to Jiaoxiu Li Prefecture and the snowy mountains of the Fang Clan, he only needed seven days.

Although Zhu Minglang was born with all the mories and history of the North Dipper God State,

he couldn’t understand why the pristine snowy mountains and verdant adows of the Fang Clan village gave him such a sense of ho, belonging.

It was as if he’d truly grown up there, lived there for sixteen years, and began his journey as a Dragon Shepherd from there.

Whenever he reminisced about that stillness and beauty, he could feel a sliver of peace no matter where he was.

However, just as Zhu Minglang thought he could once again savor this feeling of serenity, what he saw left him utterly horrified.

Black. An endless expanse of black!!

It wasn’t as though the darkness had engulfed the land, nor had Eternal Darkness descended. The heavens were still bathed in Green Kirin’s light, and everything in the world was clearly visible—

The majestic snowy mountains in the distance, the vast grasslands nearby, the streams ford by lting snow…

All of these were visible, but they were all black!!

It was as if a painting had abruptly lost all its colors, or rather, all objects in the scene had been forcibly covered with black!

This blackness exuded a sense of withered desolation, as if even the simplest stone had its vitality stripped away!

Zhu Minglang plucked a birch leaf; the leaf was black. Tearing it slightly, he saw that even its sap was black.

He scooped up so soil—the soil of the Fang Clan was normally ochre or vermillion. Black soil was a rarity, often a sign of fertility. Yet this soil, “stained” black, resembled ashes left behind by wild infernos!

Everything, absolutely everything—

The snowy mountains, the towering forests, the earth itself—

All could be described as a world woven together from ash.

“Whoosh!”

Suddenly, a Rabbit Spirit darted past Zhu Minglang.

He noticed that this Rabbit Spirit was entirely black as well!

Corrupted!

Devoured!

Bereft!

Zhu Minglang couldn’t comprehend the cause behind this.

At this mont, he could only follow the mountain paths toward the village below the snowy peaks where he had parted ways.

“Fang Shan, Fang Xue!”

Standing at the village entrance, Zhu Minglang called out into the deathly stillness.

“Granny!”

“Granny!”

He walked deeper into the village, but still didn’t see anyone.

Unease crept into Zhu Minglang’s heart.

“Little Jiuwei, head up the snowy mountains and take a look,” Zhu Minglang summoned the Nine Kun Dragons and picked up so of the villagers’ discarded belongings to help the Nine-Tailed Dragon rember their scent.

The Chongwang Dragon was still training with the Frog Immortal, leaving Zhu Minglang short on usable dragons for now.

“Little Glutton, head west. There seems to be a large crash site there. Check if anything’s unusual,” Zhu Minglang instructed the Gluttonous Dragon.

Though reluctant, Little Glutton still rode clouds and mist toward the western direction to explore.

“Reverse Spot, we’re heading south, toward where the black-spotted continent crashed. This widespread corruption suggests sothing extraordinary might be lurking there,” Zhu Minglang said to the Ten Thousand Dread-Earthbound Dragon.

The Ten Thousand Dread-Earthbound Dragon nodded and bore Zhu Minglang southward, flying toward the source of the impact.
