"Ramos?"

The three Elders immediately recognized him. However, before they could ask any questions, Ramos suddenly broke down. His body trembled, and his eyes turned red as if he had been holding back his emotions for a long time.

"It was them," he said in a shaking voice.

His words were filled with grief and pain. "They slaughtered my entire clan, Elders."

Ramos lowered his head as if he could barely force the words out of his mouth. "My children... my family... my entire bloodline..."

His voice cracked halfway through the sentence.

"Everyone is dead. They killed all of them, and I could do nothing to stop that monster."

The pain in his expression appeared pletely genuine. His fists clenched tightly while his shoulders shook uncontrollably. At that moment, he looked less like the proud leader of the Wind Dragon Clan and more like a broken man who had lost everything he cared about.

"I was too weak."

"I was powerless."

"I watched it happen, and I could not save any of them."

Hearing those words, the expressions of the three Elders became plicated. They knew how much Ramos cared about his clan. The Wind Dragon Clan had existed in this region for countless years and had remained loyal to the Night Rider Sect throughout that time.

Seeing their long-time ally in such a miserable state naturally stirred emotions within them.

At the same time, anger began rising in their hearts.

Whoever was responsible for this had not only attacked cities under the Night Rider Sect’s control but had also supposedly wiped out one of the sect’s most loyal allies. If Ramos was telling the truth, then this matter had bee far more serious than they initially thought.

"What happened?" Nesha asked.

Among the five Elders of the Night Rider Sect, Nesha originally held the position of Second Elder. However, after Sophia became the Sect Leader, his status naturally rose. Although his title remained Elder, he effectively became the First Elder of the sect and was monly regarded as the Grand Elder.

His authority within the Night Rider Sect was second only to the Sect Leader.

Whenever the Sect Leader was absent, the responsibility of managing the entire sect fell upon his shoulders. He possessed the authority to oversee the sect’s operations, make important decisions, and even issue orders to the other Elders when necessary. In many ways, he served as the backbone of the Night Rider Sect whenever the Sect Leader was unavailable.

Yet at this moment, even someone as experienced as Nesha felt shaken.

Everything that had happened since the morning felt unreal.

It felt like a nightmare that he could not wake up from.

Only a few hours ago, the sect had been preparing for one of the most important ceremonies in its history. Distinguished guests from all over the region were arriving. The entire Night Rider Sect had been celebrating Victor’s ascension to the position of Sect Leader.

And now, city after city was under attack.

Reports of destruction kept arriving one after another.

The situation was deteriorating so quickly that even Nesha struggled to process everything.

In all his years of serving the Night Rider Sect, he had witnessed wars, invasions, political conflicts, and countless crises. However, never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that something like this would happen on the very day of Victor’s ceremony.

The entire situation felt absurd.

And the worst part was that he still had no idea who was responsible for it all.

"As usual, I woke up early in the morning and had breakfast with my family," Ramos said. His voice was still trembling as if he had not yet recovered from the shock of what had happened. "Everything seemed normal at first. Then suddenly, we heard a series of loud explosions ing from outside."

Ramos lowered his head and clenched his fists.

"Before I could even understand what was happening, the attack had already begun. The entire clan was thrown into chaos. People were running everywhere. Some were trying to protect their families while others were trying to figure out where the enemy had e from. And in the middle of all that confusion, a very powerful 7th-order cultivator appeared."

The moment those words left his mouth, the three Elders exchanged looks.

The expressions of the Second and Third Elders immediately became more serious.

Neither of them was a Peak 7th-order cultivator. While they were undoubtedly powerful experts, they knew very well that fighting someone at the peak of the realm would not be easy. If Ramos was telling the truth and the enemy was truly a powerful 7th-order cultivator, then the situation was much more dangerous than they had initially expected.

Among the three of them, only Nesha, the Grand Elder, possessed the strength necessary to confidently face such an opponent. Even then, victory was far from guaranteed. A battle between Peak 7th-order cultivators could easily last for hours and often ended with both sides suffering serious injuries.

Seeing the worried looks on their faces, Nesha frowned.

"What exactly are you two afraid of?" he asked in a firm voice.

His gaze swept across the two Elders before continuing.

"Even if the enemy is a powerful 7th-order cultivator, there are four of us here. As long as we work together, we can bring him down."

A cold look appeared in his eyes.

"No matter how strong he is, he cannot possibly fight all four of us at the same time and win."

"Wait a minute."

Suddenly, Nesha’s expression changed.

Until now, everything Ramos had said sounded reasonable. His appearance, his injuries, the panic in his voice, and the flames burning in the distance all supported his story. Nothing had felt particularly suspicious. In fact, given the circumstances, most people would have believed him without question.

However, the more Nesha thought about it, the more something started bothering him.

A small detail that he had overlooked earlier suddenly resurfaced in his mind.

If Ramos was telling the truth and his entire clan had truly been slaughtered, then how had he survived?

The question appeared in his mind so suddenly that even Nesha was caught off guard.

According to Ramos, the attackers had been powerful enough to wipe out the entire Wind Dragon Clan. They had supposedly killed his children, his family, and everyone connected to his bloodline. If that was really the case, then why was Ramos standing here alive?

The more he thought about it, the less sense it made.

Ramos was not some insignificant clan member.

He was the Clan Leader.

If the enemy had truly wanted to destroy the Wind Dragon Clan, then Ramos should have been one of their highest-priority targets.

Yet somehow he had survived while everyone else had died.

The moment this thought crossed his mind, Nesha immediately became vigilant.

His relaxed posture disappeared.

The sympathy he had been feeling moments ago quickly faded.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he carefully studied Ramos once again.

This time, he was no longer looking at him as a grieving ally.

He was looking at him as a possible suspect.

A trace of wariness appeared in his gaze as he silently prepared himself for the possibility that something was very wrong.

Ramos also noticed the change in Nesha’s expression.

As the Clan Leader of the Wind Dragon Clan, he had spent thousands of years dealing with powerful cultivators and influential figures. He could immediately tell that the Grand Elder had begun suspecting something. Worse, it looked like Nesha was about to share those suspicions with the other two Elders.

For a brief moment, Ramos’ heart tightened.

If Nesha revealed his doubts now, the entire trap could fall apart.

Nesha’s eyes narrowed as he continued staring at Ramos.

The more he thought about the situation, the more wrong it felt.

He opened his mouth, intending to warn the other two Elders.

However, before he could utter a single word, everything changed.

Swoosh!

Swoosh!

Two violent streaks of light suddenly tore through the air behind them.

The attack came so quickly that even the surrounding air exploded from the sheer speed.

The Second and Third Elders had no time to react.

Their attention was still focused on Ramos and the strange feeling that had begun settling in their hearts. By the time they sensed danger, it was already too late.

Two powerful figures appeared directly behind them as if they had materialized out of thin air.

Then the attacks landed.

Booooooooom!!!!!

The impact shook the entire area.

The Second Elder and Third Elder were struck before they could even turn around. The overwhelming force behind the attacks instantly broke through their defenses and sent both of them flying across the city like cannonballs.

Their bodies tore through buildings, shattered walls, and left trails of destruction behind them.

Only after traveling hundreds of meters did they finally stop.

Booooooooom!!!!!

Booooooooom!!!!!

The two Elders crashed into different sections of the city wall with enough force to create massive craters. Large portions of stone exploded outward while cracks spread across the surrounding structures.

Seeing the Second and Third Elders being sent flying, Nesha was both shocked and surprised.

Everything had happened too quickly.

Just a moment ago, he had been preparing to voice his suspicions. Now, two Elders had already been ambushed and blasted across the city. The sudden turn of events caught even someone as experienced as him off guard.

Instinctively, Nesha turned around to see who had launched the attacks.

That single moment of distraction was exactly what Ramos had been waiting for.

The moment Nesha’s attention shifted away, Ramos moved.

There was no hesitation.

No warning.

No mercy.

He attacked the Grand Elder from behind with everything he had.

By now, Ramos was no longer the Beginner 7th-order cultivator that Nesha remembered. After receiving Aditya’s blood and evolving, his strength had increased tremendously. He had already stepped into the Mid 7th-order realm and bee far more powerful than before.

In terms of pure strength, he was already capable of suppressing Nesha.

And now he was launching a surprise attack against an opponent who had pletely lowered his guard.

Nesha never saw it ing.

Booooooooom!!!!!

The attack struck him directly in the back.

The force behind it was terrifying.

His protective mana shattered almost instantly as the attack tore through flesh and muscle. A large wound opened across his back, and blood sprayed into the air.

Pain exploded throughout his body.

Before Nesha could even react or stabilize himself, another figure suddenly appeared in front of him.

The moment Nesha was sent forward by the impact, Boris moved.

His hand shot out like lightning and wrapped tightly around the Grand Elder’s throat. The overwhelming grip immediately cut off any chance of escape.

Nesha’s eyes widened. Only now did he finally understand. This had never been an attack on the city. It had been a trap from the very beginning.

And he had walked straight into it.
