Chapter 174: Assassins! Ambush!

Translator:?Sparrow Translations??Editor:?Sparrow Translations

Ling Yun left Yao Rou’s house at midnight with a desire to see his precious Shichiyou Herb. Hence, he used his ability to sprint towards the small river at lightning speed. If Yao Rou was to see his speed now, she would definitely not have comnted on his speed just now.

In the night, Ling Yun moved quietly like an oversized owl and within the radius of 20 ters, he was practically invisible to the human eye. The distance between the Shichiyou Herb and Yao Rou’s house was about 20 kiloters but he reached the place in five minutes.

Slowing down once he drew near to the plant, Ling Yun was able to see that the river had subsided and returned to its peaceful form. He only used the corner of his eye to sense the location of the Shichiyou Herb as he flew towards it without a reduction in speed. Other than a few splatters of mud on its leaves, the Shichiyou Herb was perfectly fine.

He realized that there were a few people who had been following him when he just reached the river. That explained his fast speed to prevent anyone from discovering the Shichiyou Herb. Sensing danger, Ling Yun changed his direction to head towards Long Pan Mountain which was void of people, making it a perfect place to kill soone.

He decided to show no rcy since soone was trying to kill him and even slowed down his speed purposefully to allow them to keep up. When he was running, Ling Yun took out his leather pouch that was filled with hundreds of needles that were capable of killing many people should he choose to do so.

He chose not to go ho to retrieve his long needle in order to keep Zhuang ifeng safe. After eight minutes, Ling Yun reached Qingshui Lake and he crossed over the 2 ters high wall into Long Pan Mountain Park.

The one chasing him was none other than the famous Xuan Jiu who was not using his full power during the chase and even had ti to leave ssages for Xuan Qi.

“Currently at the river, unsure about his intentions.”

“Didn’t stop, going straight, I think he found out about .”

“Heading towards the south-west, in the direction of Qingshui Lake.”

“Going into Long Pan Mountain Park.”

In the black van, Xuan Qi stared at his phone with a calm face, analyzing the ssages from Xuan Jiu while giving instructions to Li Yi who was sitting beside him. They were killers and having accepted money in exchange for a life, they would show no rcy to their victim.

Now, because the custor that wanted to buy Ling Yun’s life had raised the bounty from 8 million dollars to 50 million dollars and for the Assassins Organization, this was a big deal. Thus, they deed Ling Yun to be of utmost importance and had sent a few minor people to test his abilities first. The stalker that Ling Yun and Xue ining found during Zhuang ifeng’s accident was one of those sent by the group.

Then with the price of 8 million dollars set by Ling Hao, the group of killers sent out the Yellow-ranked killers, Li Yi and Jiao Fei, thinking it would be a piece of cake after seeing the information gathered from the research.

The Yellow-ranked killers were ordinary assassins who had basic skills for killing ordinary people without leaving any evidence. These kinds of killers were plentiful in the group and were nothing special. For example, if it was not an ambush scenario, Jiao Fei would be unable to win in a one to one fight against Tie Xiaohu.

However, after the news of Ling Yun easily conquering thirty people from Qinglong and his scary feat of beating Tie Xiaohu reached the ears of the Assassins Organization, they knew that Li Yi and Jiao Fei were unable to kill him.

The group told Ling Hao of the news and the shocked Ling Hao instantly raised the price to 50 million dollars. This was because if the amazing Ling Yun ca ho to the Ling family and t his father Ling Xiao, his position would be threatened.

Thus, the group of killers decided to send Xuan Jiu and Xuan Qi along with four other snipers to help Xuan Qi with Ling Yun’s death. What Xuan Qi did not know was that the company also sent an Earth-ranked killer called “Di Ba” who had fighting skills that made the other assassins he was working with pale in comparison.

If they were to fight against killers like Xuan Qi, it would be as easy as blowing dust away. For the sake of the 50 million dollars, the company of killers had really covered all grounds to ensure a complete success.

However, the Earth-ranked killer had always worked alone and only appeared in tis of absolute crisis. Hence even until now, Xuan Qi still thought that he was controlling the whole situation. The beautiful and charming Xuan Qi was clad in tight leather clothes while sitting in the black van and planning the attack.

“Put two snipers on Nancui Peak, opposite Longpan Mountain and put the other two on the slopes of Longpan Mountain. Ensure that no one fires unless they are fully certain that they can hit the target.”

“Li Yi, you and Jiao Fei will go to Longpan Mountain now and wait for my orders.”

“Ling Yun is already there and Xuan Jiu is unable to deal with him alone so I have to go and help.” Just when Ling Yun entered the area, a well-planned assassination was ready for him.

After planning everything, Xuan Qi got out of the car and left for Longpan Mountain with a slight bend of her sexy body. She reached the eting point in an instant and was holding onto a pair of black daggers. In the dark forest, the daggers were camouflaged and invisible to most making them a pair of rather lethal weapons.

“Did he go up?” She quietly asked after eting Xuan Jiu.

“He went up a long ti ago. When he was running, his speed varied a lot as if he was worried that I would get lost.” Xuan Jiu said. Xuan Jiu was a tall and thin twenty-eight-year-old man who was wearing full black and had cold, piercing eyes.

He had high protruding temples, making him seem like a handso kungfu master. Xuan Qi’s charming face was sullen as she quietly muttered, “He is so crazy even when he knows that he will definitely die. I wonder what hidden sect is he from to believe that he is invincible. Pssh, he is truly a na?ve fool that does not know his place!” Maybe it was due to her confidence or her slight anger but Xuan Qi spoke loudly causing Ling Yun who was admiring the night sky to hear everything.

“Oh? This world is exactly how I imagined it to be. There are even hidden sects, interesting!” Ling Yun chuckled lightly as he silently said to himself. As there were even dragons around, the news of hidden sects did not surprise Ling Yun but rather, made him extrely curious.

He patted the magic brush with his left hand as he swept his gaze across the banks of Qingshui Lake. “So many people ca! Is that the legendary gun? Tie Xiaohu said that Qinglong has a gun so I must be careful when dealing with him.” He mumbled to himself. However, he only saw Li Yi and Jiao Fei along with the two snipers but he missed out on the other two snipers.

Then, his attention shifted to the massive crater that he was checking out just now that made him slightly emotional. The crater was positioned between Longpan Mountain and Nancui Peak and was about 300 ters wide. Due to its position, the crater was shaped like a bowl and was engulfed in darkness. In the night, it looked like a mouth that was trying to swallow the sky.

Even with his abilities, Ling Yun could only look as far as thirty ters into the crater. Occasionally, there were rocks that fell in without landing after a long ti making the crater seem mysterious and frightening. The reason for this location was that Ling Yun wanted to look around the crater after dealing with the killers.

“Why aren’t they coming up? They already know that I found out so they still want to assassinate ?” He said in frustration.

On the slopes of Longpan Mountain, Xuan Jiu signals to Xuan Qi, “Open attack or ambush?”

Xuan Qi quickly replies, “Attack! If we fail, lead him down the mountain then ambush him!”

“Let’s go!” The two shot out of the forest and flew up the mountain, resembling two black streaks.

“You guys are too cautious. I have waited so long for you!” Ling Yun coldly uttered without a trace of emotion and without looking back.
