Luke soon learned why the Tarot Club mbers were being so weird around him, bringing up the monocle-wearing person in the conversation.
It turned out, one of the most prominent enemies of Mr. Fool in the distant world was a person called Amon — who also went by the na of Error.
Amon preferred wearing a monocle on his right eye, and, coincidentally, he was a God of the Marauder Pathway.
The sa pathway that Luke, despite not liking it, was getting mastery over as if he had known it forever.
As Luke confird that he truly hadn't seen any man like that, the mbers once again sighed, regaining their posture.
"Also," Mr. Devil said, adding, "there's a Boundary around my world which prevents foreign interference…"
That made everyone raise their brows.
"Is that so?" The Hanged Man asked. "Did Mr. Fool tell you that?"
Luke nodded. "Mr. Fool told that when he saved my Spirit Body, He sensed that there was no Spirit World, along with the matter of this Boundary…"
On the other side of the table, Miss Magician and Miss Judgnt almost facepald.
Miss Justice cleared her throat. "You can exchange such information with us," she told Luke.
Luke's mouth dropped. I thought they already knew it. Didn't the System reveal everything to them?
"We know about Conformity and Singularity," Miss Justice explained. "The matter of your resurrection. And a few more things, as theorized by Mr. Fool. Nothing else. You are free to share what you want with us. Of course, you can ask sothing in return as long as it's equivalent in worth."
Luke gaped at Miss Justice and then looked around, finally realizing that he had been pouring out information without putting conditions first all along.
Now I know why Mr. Fool chose Miss Justice as the System, Luke lampooned. Imagine a System trying to hoodwink at every step…
"Thank you, Miss Justice," Mr. Devil nodded. "I do have a few things I would like to know. In return…"
Luke didn't know what he could tell them in return.
Unlike these people, he was just a man on a mysterious hunt in his world, trying to find answers himself.
"You ntioned this… spell?" Miss Hermit said, nudging her glasses. "Blood Creation, I an. Can you create anything?"
Luke nodded. "As long as it's not a living thing… But I can only co here as Spirit Body, and only when I have digested three Potions of the sa Sequence. Also, I don't think I can bring items with …"
"Yes," Miss Hermit nodded, cutting him off. "But you can sacrifice those items to Mr. Fool, and then we can get them in our world."
This ti, Luke was shocked enough to think out loud. "You can do that?"
Wasn't Mr. Fool like a God? Luke was dumbfounded. Why would a God entertain his back-to-back requests?
"Of course, you can," Miss Justice added. "If you are having trouble facing an issue, a grave one, you can just pray to Mr. Fool and ask him for guidance, too. But, with Mr. Fool being unavailable now, I am not sure of a fast response."
You can't be serious… Luke stared at all of them, noticing that it was just common knowledge.
In Luke's world, there was a debate about whether Gods even existed or not.
Forget about getting a response by praying to Jesus or Vishnu; if a wish did end up coming true by sheer coincidence, it was counted as a Miracle.
This was the first ti Luke was learning that there were worlds where you could ask a God's assistance for everyday tasks.
Did I really miss my chance? Luke asked himself. Should I have been more eager to ask questions to Mr. Fool?
"I knew of sacrificial rituals," he said after a while. "I will try sacrificing a few items after returning. So… should I ask my questions when I co next ti here?"
"No," Miss Hermit said. "Let's take it as an advance paynt. If it doesn't work out on your end, we will think of sothing else in the future."
Luke nodded. "I want to know more about Sequences and Pathways. The way Mr. Fool and Miss Justice… I an, the System talks about the three Pathways I have, gives an impression that they aren't the only three available on your side."
"I can answer that!"
Luke's head snapped to his right.
It was Mr. Moon, casually leaning back in the chair, smiling.
"But, first, I would like to know if you can create dolls using this Blood Creation?" Mr. Moon asked.
"Dolls?" Luke frowned. "Oh… like for rituals?"
"…" As the silence persisted between the Tarot Club mbers, Mr. Moon replied, "… yes."
"As long as I have a detailed composition of an object," Luke told them, "I can create anything. The effect won't be as good as using true Creation Quirk, but for simple objects, it would be hard to tell the difference."
The mont Luke finished the sentence, he found the gray fog in front of him becoming a page on the table.
Soon, a very detailed sketch of a person-sized doll took shape on the paper.
"You can use that," Mr. Moon said, sounding excited. "If you forget it, you can pray to Mr. Fool to recall it accurately."
By now, Luke was contemplating what he couldn't pray for to Mr. Fool.
Suddenly, Mr. Star, next to Luke, joined in. "Everyone here knows the answer to your question, Mr. Devil. You don't need to accept this particular request if you don't want to."
Mr. Moon looked at Mr. Star in shock and betrayal.
He looked at Mr. Devil and urgently said, "We Sanguine know the history of all Pathways better than anyone…"
Luke's mouth twitched.
Now that was a tone he was familiar with. Desperate.
"It's alright," Luke said, looking at all of them. "How about I create one thing for everyone, and you all can pitch in."
"That would be great!" Miss Magician suddenly replied as if worried she was going to miss out on the deal. "Cough!"
The others nodded as well.
"OK, then, let's start with," Miss Justice said, beginning the lecture, "the Spectator Pathway."
