Late at night, inside a room on Sea God’s Island.
Luo Yu sat on the bed, with the Boundless Universe Shield cradled in his palm, where the slender Princess of the Great White Sharks swam about.
A pair of deep blue eyes curiously watched him.
There was curiosity mingled with a bit of wariness.
Luo Yu smiled warmly and said, "Little guy, don’t worry, I’ll let you out."
The Boundless Universe Shield flew out of his palm, and as it flipped in the air, it rapidly enlarged, settling on the ground like a small pond.
With water swirling inside, the White Shark Princess regained her freedom, leaping and frolicking with agility.
Luo Yu nodded.
Fortunately, the room was spacious enough; otherwise, it wouldn’t have fit.
"Splash, splash!"
The elongated body of the White Shark leaped out of the water, then subrged again, her tail slapping the water and spraying droplets all around.
"Who are you, and why did you take away?"
An ethereal and crisp female voice filled the room.
Luo Yu smiled, "You’re called Bai Xiuxiu, right?"
"Yes."
"Then it’s right for to have taken you away," Luo Yu said, his words seeming to contain deeper aning.
Confusion flickered through the Blue-Eyed White Shark, "How do you know my na?"
Luo Yu shook his head.
"That’s not important. All you need to know is that I won’t harm you."
"Mm, I believe you won’t harm ," Bai Xiuxiu said.
Luo Yu raised an eyebrow, "Oh?"
"I can understand your eyes! I can see that your eyes are very clear, you don’t have any bad intentions towards ."
"Eh..."
Luo Yu was montarily at a loss for words.
You say I won’t harm you!
I admit that.
But how did you make out that I have no ill intentions towards you?
"You already know my na, but I don’t know yours," Bai Xiuxiu asked proactively.
Actually, she was not usually a lively character, but having spent years in the sea without encountering any strange creatures, especially humans,
she was filled with curiosity about Luo Yu, finding him very novel.
Especially since Luo Yu could even persuade her mother to let her leave with him, that was even more impressive.
In Bai Xiuxiu’s heart, apart from the monster that lurked deep in the ocean territory, only her mother was the strongest.
"I’m called Luo Yu."
"Hehe, your na sounds nice," Bai Xiuxiu said as she slapped the water, "but not as nice as mine."
"That, I can’t agree with!" Luo Yu shook his head.
"Hmph! Whether you agree or not doesn’t matter, after all, it’s the truth," the playful female voice echoed.
Luo Yu’s gaze gradually beca a bit peculiar.
I’m not single anyway, so why does looking at a White Shark give the impression of fair brows and beautiful eyes? Is it an illusion?
"Um... Xiu Xiu."
"What do you want?" Bai Xiuxiu shrank a little and swam backward.
"What are you retreating for?" Luo Yu glared.
Bai Xiuxiu spoke in a whiny voice, "I feel like you’re going to eat ."
"Don’t worry, I’m vegetarian," Luo Yu asked, "Can you only maintain this form, and not Transform?"
"Transform?"
Bai Xiuxiu’s voice instantly beca much louder.
Luo Yu raised an eyebrow.
"Is there a problem?"
"A big problem," Bai Xiuxiu said speechlessly: "Even my mom, with her Cultivation Level, can’t Transform. How do you think I can do it? I’m still a baby."
Luo Yu rolled his eyes.
"Baby?"
"Are there babies that are thousands of years old?"
Bai Xiuxiu said indignantly, "Don’t compare by your human asurents, okay? In the soul beast world, I am a baby."
"Don’t try to deceive . I’ve also been in the soul beast world, and you definitely count as a young human girl in her pri," Luo Yu responded with a hush.
"Been in the soul beast world?"
Bai Xiuxiu obviously didn’t believe him, casting a doubtful look.
"If you were with a pile of soul beasts, wouldn’t that group of soul beasts tear you to pieces? It’s only because we, the White Shark Clan, are the Guardian Beasts of Sea God’s Island that we don’t easily give humans a hard ti."
"What’s there not to believe," Luo Yu blinked, "I might as well tell you a secret."
"You know about the Aquipeia Forest, right? Back then, I was the boss of the Aquipeia Forest, with a whole group of ferocious beasts under my command."
Bai Xiuxiu was initially listening seriously but couldn’t help bursting into a light, silver-bell-like laughter later on.
"Liar, big liar."
"You’re not even serious when you’re boasting. Do you think I’d believe that?"
"I’m telling the truth, but if you don’t believe , there’s nothing I can do," Luo Yu spread his hands.
"If you can, prove it to ."
"Alright," Luo Yu agreed without hesitation, "You can co back with to the Star Dou Forest, and I’ll show you my buddies."
"No problem, I’m actually curious to see how you’re going to prove it."
Bai Xiuxiu’s eyes were full of skepticism, the stubbornness of a little princess coming through.
"Wait a minute!"
She pondered for a mont, a glint in her eye.
"Why do I feel like you’re step by step trying to trick away?"
Luo Yu was taken aback, then chuckled.
"How could that be, you must be mistaken."
"Why would I abduct a little White Shark for no reason?"
"I’m not little anymore, okay?" Bai Xiuxiu retorted with a delicate voice.
Luo Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"Alright, now I’m going to ask you a question, and you must answer seriously."
"Ask away, but if it’s sothing private, I might not tell you," Bai Xiuxiu cutely batted her blue eyes.
"Do you want to Transform?"
"Yes, of course, I dream about it."
Bai Xiuxiu replied quickly.
"Land soul beasts might be able to transform after obtaining a cultivation level of a hundred thousand years, but we sea soul beasts need the Cultivation Level of a ferocious beast to successfully transform. After transforming, we can go play in the human world."
Luo Yu lost his composure and chuckled.
The little White Shark before him felt different from Bai Xiuxiu in his mory, more lively and playful.
But that made sense.
At this ti, her mother hadn’t yet been tragically killed by the Deep Sea Demonic Whale, and she herself hadn’t spent ten thousand years struggling alone, so naturally, she would be sowhat naive.
Tsk.
Luo Yu suddenly felt a pang of reflection.
Logically, Bai Xiuxiu was supposed to be Tang San’s grandson’s girlfriend, wasn’t she? It seed he had cut in tens of thousands of years earlier.
How embarrassing.
"I can help you transform," he said.
"Are you serious?" Bai Xiuxiu’s eyes instantly lit up with hope as she looked at Luo Yu.
But she soon deflated, "That’s impossible. How could you possibly make my cultivation level skyrocket and make leap to a ferocious beast level out of thin air?"
Luo Yu shook his head, the corners of his mouth turned up.
"To transform, your cultivation level doesn’t necessarily have to reach there," he said.
"Ah? Is there another way?" Bai Xiuxiu asked, surprised.
"Certainly."
A flash of light appeared in Luo Yu’s hand, revealing a strangely shaped Immortal Herb.
It had an erald-like white jade stem enwrapped in misty, white down that constantly changed shape, brimming with spirituality, as if it were a living creature.
"What is this?" Bai Xiuxiu blinked her blue eyes.
"This is known as the Transformation Grass. Judging by its na, you can probably guess its effects," he explained.
"Transformation Grass, you’re saying this is Transformation Grass?" Bai Xiuxiu’s blue pupils instantly widened.
"You know of this thing?" Luo Yu was sowhat surprised.
Bai Xiuxiu’s breathing beca rapid, clearly agitated.
"Mom told about the legendary Transformation Grass, which is infinitely useful for soul beasts."
"It’s impossible to find in the sea, only in the most flourishing jungles on land, and even then, the Transformation Grass only has a chance to grow once every million years."
