"Please select your Plate."

The system's cold voice echoed in Gu La's mind as a dazzling light screen burst forth. Eighteen Plates of varying colors slowly rotated in the void, each radiating an awe-inspiring energy fluctuation.

Gu La's pupils contracted slightly; he could feel his martial soul trembling within him. His gaze was imdiately drawn to the earthy-brown Ground Plate.

It was much thicker than the others, its surface engraved with ancient and mysterious patterns. Golden molten light flowed through the grooves like lava.

Just looking at it made him hear the rumbling of colliding continental plates and feel the pulsing from deep within the planet's core.

"As expected." Gu La unconsciously tightened his fingers, imagining the earth-shattering changes that would occur when this tablet resonated with his Groudon martial soul.

"I choose the Ground Plate."

Gu La spoke without hesitation, his voice tinged with suppressed excitent. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught glimpses of other shimring tablets, especially the lush green Grass Plate. But he knew what his choice ant—the Groudon clone could allow one tablet to simultaneously strengthen both the main body and the clone, doubling the effect.

[Choice confird]

[Ground Plate has been stored in the system space]

As the prompt sounded, Gu La felt a tremor deep within his soul.

In the system space, the earthy-brown tablet floated silently in its designated area, its patterns flickering on and off as if breathing.

He resisted the urge to take it out imdiately. In Shrek Academy, it clearly wasn't the right place to summon a Creation Plate.

"Now for..." Gu La adjusted his breathing and turned his attention to the next reward.

[Random divine item being drawn...]

The light screen suddenly exploded into countless star dust, coalescing into a roulette wheel in the void.

As the pointer spun rapidly, Gu La saw flashes of countless legendary beast shadows—Ho-Oh's holy feathers, Lugia's silver wings, Rayquaza's erald dragon scales... Finally, the pointer stopped on a blue phantom.

[Congratulations on obtaining: Pulse Engine (Exclusive to Super Latios)]

A sapphire-blue energy engine appeared in the system space, its casing carved from the purest sapphire. Liquid energy surged inside, sotis resembling dark ocean currents, other tis forming nebula-like vortices.

When Gu La touched it with his thoughts, the engine emitted a whale-like hum, startling him into quickly withdrawing his thought. He then pulled up the appraisal information:

[Pulse Engine (Divine Grade)]

Effects:

1. Dragon and Psychic-type moves' power increased by 30% (Additional 5% boost in water environnts)

2. When equipped by Latios, under Dragon Aura, Psychic-type moves' power further increases by 20%

3. When equipped by Latios, flight speed breaks sub-light speed limit (Limited to 5 minutes per day)

...

"This..." Gu La gasped, the equipnt's attributes were absurdly strong. But the following system warning brought him back to his senses:

[Warning: A Pokémon can only equip one item]

He tried equipping the Pulse Engine on himself, but the system popped up a red warning: [Detected host already equipped with "Red Orb" and "Ti Flower," please remove before proceeding].

Gu La shook his head with a bitter smile. Without a Latios martial soul, many of the bonuses were inaccessible to him. He would only enjoy the basic dragon and psychic enhancents, but he didn't have many dragon-type moves.

Turning to look at the still-excited Na'er, the silver-haired girl seed to sense sothing, tilting her head with a puzzled look.

Gu La had a thought. With her Silver Dragon King bloodline and elental control, Na'er should be able to benefit from so of the enhancents.

But he wouldn't assu that Na'er, just because she was captured, would obediently follow orders like a Pokémon.

Therefore, even though the Pulse Engine was useless to him, he wouldn't give away such a divine artifact.

Moreover, he had another idea... This divine artifact, when materialized, looked exactly like an engine. Could it be installed in his future ch?

At that point, the ch's sole weakness—energy—would no longer be an issue. The compact size of the Pulse Engine would also provide more design flexibility for the ch.

Noting down the inspiration, Gu La opened the final reward, revealing scenes of various legendary beasts casting their signature moves.

[Congratulations on obtaining skill: Ti Lock (Locks enemies across ti dinsions; during the duration, attacks are guaranteed to hit. If the enemy is within a temporal rift, they will receive a "Suppressed" status, increasing damage taken by 20% and halving healing effects until the battle ends)]

(T/N: Not an actual Pokemon Ability or condition.)

Suddenly, a flood of temporal knowledge and techniques for wielding ti powers entered Gu La's mind. Flashes of fragnted images crossed his vision—Dialga roaring in the river of ti, its immortal body refracting light from myriad tilines.

He closed his eyes, furrowed his brow, and beads of cold sweat ford on his forehead, yet a thrilled grin spread across his lips.

"I actually learned it!"

He felt the newly born temporal law within him—it was unmistakably Dialga's signature domain of ti.

Though perhaps not outstanding in the ga, in reality, the attribute of "guaranteed hits" alone was godlike.

A bold idea suddenly struck Gu La. An image of God King Tang appeared in his mind. That guy, always appearing as if orchestrating everything, must still be scheming against the other gods in the Great God Circle, right?

"What if I hit him now with a Precipice Blades..."

Gu La chuckled mischievously at the ntal image: Tang San, negotiating with other gods, suddenly blasted away by a falling magma sword, or unexpectedly ambushed during a fight, losing control of the future Great God Circle—a spectacular scene indeed.

But reason soon overrode impulse—the Groudon clone was currently only at peak first-tier god level. Even borrowing strength wouldn't surpass that of it. Even temporarily breaking through with the Ground Plate might not cause substantial harm to a god.

However.

Gu La's eyes sparkled with determination. He gently touched the Ground Plate in the system space, feeling the surging earth power rushing through the soul link.

"Once I fully absorb the tablet, I might be able to use it at a critical mont." A brilliant interference plan gradually took shape in his mind.

First things first—he needed to test this cross-temporal locking ability.

Gu La glanced around, his gaze finally settling outside Shrek Academy.

His target was soone on the other side of the planet—"If I can't even cross the planet, forget about locking onto enemies across galaxies."

"Starting with an unseen target."

He took a deep breath, and gear-pointer-like ti patterns appeared in his pupils. Invisible temporal fluctuations quietly spread out from him, causing nearby clocks to suddenly stop.

"Ti... Lock!"

Scenes unfolded before his eyes. What was once limited to seeing future events around him beca irrelevant under Ti Lock. It was as if he was viewing an album from a higher dinsion, instantly spotting his target.
