What followed was a life filled with endless suffering.
In the Great Star Dou Forest, he accidentally encountered the Auspicious Emperor Beast—Three-Eyed Golden Lion—and engaged in a mory exchange with it. Their fates intertwined, and he gained the Eye of Destiny.
After exchanging mories, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion grew curious about the human world and transford into Wang Qiu’er to attend Shrek Academy.
At Shrek, she t Huo Yuhao, and Tang Wutong—disguised as Wang Dong—had already reverted to her true female form as Wang Dong’er.
At this point, both Wang Dong’er and Wang Qiu’er had appeared.
Then ca a string of events leading them to the Valley of Love’s Trial.
There, Huo Yuhao, marked as a special subject, was tornted to the point of near death, body and soul. What followed was the most iconic and controversial scene of all.
Our dear God King Tang San, speaking in a theatrically eerie voice, announced:
"...Only one of Wang Qiu’er or Wang Dong’er may live. The one who wins... gets Huo Yuhao!"
The scene cut to Wang Dong’er’s death. Huo Yuhao knelt in tears, begging the unknown voice to bring her back.
In the end, Wang Qiu’er was taken away. Wang Dong’er was indeed revived—but remained in a coma...
At this point, many viewers began to feel sothing was... off.
What was Tang San trying to do?
Didn’t he say from the beginning that he wanted to pass on his godhood to Huo Yuhao? Didn’t he even send his daughter to the mortal world for that purpose?
Then what were all these shenanigans for?
What was the Sea God up to?
From the omniscient perspective of the video, even though nothing was said outright, it was clear to the audience that all the hardships Huo Yuhao had endured were entirely unnecessary.
