Compared to other soul master academies, Blue Tyrant Academy was a rather unique institution.
They only accepted commoner soul masters and had very low tuition fees.
As long as a student had enough talent, they could enroll in Blue Tyrant Academy.
This was exactly what Dan Heng liked—there were no nobles, which ant that even if trouble arose, it wouldn't escalate to an uncontrollable degree.
At the sa ti, as a top-tier soul master academy, the academy's library must be incredibly well-stocked.
Once he got in, he could continue reading as much as he wanted!
"Why are you spacing out? Give an answer—do you want to be a librarian at Blue Tyrant Academy or not?" Liu Erlong glared at the gossiping onlookers before turning back to ask.
"Yes, of course I'm willing," Dan Heng nodded lightly.
Liu Erlong smiled in satisfaction, turned around, and waved her hand, "Then follow . I'll take you to Blue Tyrant Academy!"
Dan Heng quickly followed her, stepping into the carriage under the envious gazes of the crowd.
Inside the Carriage
As soon as Dan Heng got in, the carriage set off.
Liu Erlong was stunningly beautiful, yet she had an unexpectedly capable and commanding aura.
Unlike other won who cared about appearances, she treated Dan Heng as an ordinary person without any special treatnt.
This made Dan Heng even more satisfied. When he first arrived in the small town, his looks had brought him no shortage of trouble.
"Don't listen to those people spouting nonsense," Liu Erlong spoke bluntly. "I hired you because we really need a librarian, and you happen to have a scholarly air about you. Plus, your asking price is low."
"As for your looks, I don't care. Don't overthink it. The only reason I feel a bit of affinity toward you is because you remind of an old acquaintance."
Liu Erlong's straightforward words weren't just to dispel any misunderstandings Dan Heng might have.
She was also making it clear that she already had soone in her heart, so he shouldn't get any ideas.
Dan Heng simply nodded. Liu Erlong's direct approach made him even more satisfied with this job.
"Our library at Blue Tyrant Academy is huge, with lots of donated books. Your job is just to catalog and maintain them. Honestly, you won't have to do much. Soul masters rely on themselves to cultivate, mainly through combat. Books aren't that important."
Liu Erlong spoke casually, showing little regard for academics.
Dan Heng didn't pry further.
When they arrived at Blue Tyrant Academy, he was surprised to find that it was located not far from his ho in Heaven Dou City!
If he walked, it would take about half an hour.
Liu Erlong called over a teaching director to handle Dan Heng's employnt paperwork.
As she watched Dan Heng leave, a nostalgic expression flashed in Liu Erlong's eyes.
Muttering softly, she said, "Xiao Gang, he looks so much like you... Handso, persistent, with that sa scholarly temperant. When will I finally get to see you again?"
"No, that's nonsense. How could he compare to Xiao Gang? Xiao Gang is a theoretical master. He's just a librarian."
Liu Erlong shook her head, dismissing the thought.
In her heart, no one could compare to Yu Xiaogang.
Even if Dan Heng looked similar, their intellect was worlds apart!
Blue Tyrant Academy's Library
The library had five floors, each one larger than the entire library back in the small town.
The teaching director handed Dan Heng over to the head librarian before leaving.
The head librarian was an old man who seed lazy and indifferent. He gave Dan Heng a few brief instructions before sending him to take over the second floor.
When Dan Heng arrived at the second-floor service desk, he noticed that this level's collection was dedicated to martial soul and soul power theories.
The books were plentiful, but visitors were scarce. The service desk was practically deserted.
Nearby, several carts were overflowing with returned books—clearly left unattended for a long ti.
Dan Heng imdiately got to work.
Since he was already experienced with library work, he quickly settled into the role.
Afternoon
After a long while, Dan Heng finally finished reshelving all the returned books.
His diligent work hadn't gone unnoticed by so students.
Though his clothing was plain, his outstanding appearance still caught people's attention.
Behind one of the bookshelves, a group of female students peeked at Dan Heng's busy figure, whispering among themselves.
"I wasn't lying, right? The new librarian is really handso! I almost want to go talk to him!"
"You're so shaless! He probably has a wife and kids already. Besides, with soone that good-looking, do you really think he'd be interested in you? If anyone stands a chance, it's Zhangzhu the Beauty!"
"Don't drag into this..."
The girl nad Zhangzhu had short crimson hair, a delicate face, and a gentle deanor.
She was also staring at Dan Heng, though more reservedly than the others.
"Co on! Go talk to him! He's so handso!"
The girls nudged Zhangzhu forward, pushing her toward Dan Heng.
Dan Heng was just about to take out a book on soul healing techniques—ever since the Gu Yuena incident, he had wanted to learn more about healing.
Seeing the group suddenly approach, he nodded slightly and asked, "Can I help you?"
The girls shoved Zhangzhu to the front, all grinning mischievously.
"Go on, Zhangzhu! Talk to him!"
Zhangzhu looked embarrassed, avoiding Dan Heng's gaze.
Truthfully, she was interested in him but didn't have the courage to approach.
Now, being pushed right in front of him, her face turned bright red.
"I... I... my na is Zhangzhu. C-could you help find a book?" Zhangzhu stamred, tongue-tied.
Dan Heng asked, "What kind of book are you looking for?"
"I'm a healing-type soul master, my martial soul is a Healing Scepter, and my soul power level is—"
Zhangzhu started introducing herself awkwardly, as if she were being interrogated.
The other girls quickly nudged her.
"What are you doing, Zhangzhu?!"
Realizing her embarrassing mistake, Zhangzhu's face turned even redder.
She had completely embarrassed herself in front of Dan Heng!
Unable to bear the sha, she turned to flee, dragging her friends along in the process.
"Wait a mont," Dan Heng suddenly said.
He reached for a book from the nearby shelf and handed it to Zhangzhu.
"You might find this helpful."
Zhangzhu quickly thanked him, clutching the book as she ran off without looking back.
The other girls were dragged away with her, stumbling as they were pulled along.
Dan Heng shook his head as he watched them go.
Just before the library closed, a group of burly male students arrived at the entrance.
They stood near the doorway, looking tough and clearly up to no good.
"Tai Long-bro, I confird it. That pretty boy is still inside. Damn, I gotta admit—he's really damn handso! No wonder Zhangzhu likes him. Compared to him, even you can't compete..."
A lackey reported to a muscular red-haired student nad Tai Long.
Tai Long imdiately smacked the lackey's head and snapped, "What the hell are you saying? How could I lose to that guy?! He's just a librarian! A real man relies on masculinity!"
"Just wait until he cos out—you'll see. I'll make sure he runs away with his tail between his legs!"
