Beneath the surging surface of the lake, several indescribable fluctuations of power continuously rose and fell.

Eventually, the lake parted with a loud crack, as if the water had been split open, flowing to either side and revealing the mutated slis hidden beneath.

The mont they erged, the slis leapt out from the lakebed, facing off in the air against Fang Chang.

Among them, the leading few emitted an aura comparable to that of a High God. Even more shocking was their sheer number—densely packed across the entire lakebed, numbering at least in the millions.

"Seal off this entire region. Don’t let a single mutated sli escape." Since things had progressed to this point, Fang Chang had no intention of letting them go. He imdiately ordered the gods under his command to seal off the Star Dou Great Forest.

These slis were too strange; even letting one escape could pose a major threat in the future.

Hundreds of gods split into several teams and scattered across the Star Dou Great Forest, while Fang Chang and a few others remained at the Lake of Life, preparing to face the slis head-on.

Facing these enemies, Fang Chang imdiately revealed his true form—a dark-gold spider over a hundred ters long, with wings unfurled, hovering in the sky.

But even that wasn’t enough. He once again used his ability to freely expand and contract, enlarging his body by several more tis until he reached a length of three to four thousand ters before finally stopping.

Behind him, Gu Yue likewise transford into a silver dragon stretching several thousand ters, while Bibi Dong, Qian Renxue, and the others also assud their most powerful battle forms.

Over a hundred gods who stayed behind also transford into spider-like forms similar to Fang Chang, though clearly smaller in size.

On the opposite side at the Lake of Life, the slis, seeing the strength of their opponents, began to change as well—so transford into spiders, others into giant dragons, and still others into rare soul beast species.

Relying on their unique abilities, they perfectly copied the appearances of these soul beasts while retaining their own terrifying soul power.

Though there was no deep grudge between the two sides, war broke out prematurely for the sake of dominance. Fang Chang was the first to charge toward the strongest of the slis.

At that mont, the sli transford into a Titan Giant Ape. Under its power, which rivaled that of a High God, its form reached over a hundred ters in height, radiating terrifying strength.

It threw a heavy punch at the descending Fang Chang, compressing the air into a semi-transparent shockwave that blasted straight at him.

Fang Chang blinked all eight of his eyes at once, activating his defensive skills. A pale golden shield appeared in front of him, and he charged forward without flinching.

Boom! A deafening crash rang out as the sli was slamd straight into the lakebed by Fang Chang. The two creatures were simultaneously subrged by the crashing waters.

The other slis of similar strength also clashed with Gu Yue and the others at that mont.

The commotion was so intense that soul beasts across the Star Dou Great Forest fled for shelter.

A few humans who had entered the forest to obtain soul rings heard the disturbance and tried to escape, only to see streaks of light flash by—every exit of the forest had already been sealed by the gods.

The Titan Giant Ape-shaped sli coughed up a mouthful of blood. Its cold voice reached Fang Chang’s ears. "You’re the foreign invaders the masters spoke of—those who invaded the Divine Realm?"

The "masters" it ntioned were likely the Goddess of Life’s faction. They had indeed co, and the slis were clearly tied to them.

"Tell , where are those masters now? If you cooperate, I might consider sparing your species, and send you to a separate dinsion to survive." Fang Chang’s voice was equally cold, his words more of a threat than a negotiation.

"Hah, we were created by the masters specifically to deal with your kind. Do you really think you’d spare us?" This sli, having cultivated to such strength, naturally possessed considerable intelligence.

It clearly understood that even if Fang Chang did spare the sli race, they’d be banished to so unbearably harsh dinsion. Even if the weak might survive by chance, powerful slis like itself would never be allowed to live.

Death was inevitable—so why not fight?

Its only regret was that the secret had been exposed too soon, and this war had co too early. If the sli race had been given another one or two thousand years to develop, perhaps they could have risen like the Spider Clan once did and challenged the Divine Realm head-on.

Fang Chang didn’t expect a few words to change its mind. His body released a torrent of toxic mist, staining the surrounding lakewater. Countless mutated slis hadn’t even had ti to replicate before they were wiped out by the venom.

The Titan Giant Ape-form sli narrowed its eyes, clenched its iron fists, and charged again, trying to force Fang Chang out of the Lake of Life.

But the difference in size and strength between them was now vast. No matter how fiercely it attacked, it couldn’t harm Fang Chang in the slightest.

Fang Chang then used his skill, Night Walker, creating three clones with strength rivaling his main body. While the clones blocked the sli, Fang Chang continued releasing toxins, intending to destroy this cradle of slis once and for all.

The slis above also noticed the black-purple toxins spreading through the lakewater and tried to turn back to defend their ancestral grounds.

But Gu Yue and the others weren’t fools. They instantly saw through Fang Chang’s intent and launched even fiercer attacks, pinning the slis down.

As the toxic mist spread, the Lake of Life turned into a poisonous spring. The weaker, newly replicated slis were completely exterminated by the venomous waters.

anwhile, the Titan Giant Ape-form sli battling Fang Chang was beaten bloody and on the verge of death.

Taking advantage of the opening, Fang Chang moved. Ice, fire, and lightning energy converged in mid-air, forming a massive broadsword. He activated Dragon-Slaying Art.

The tri-elental energy blade flashed. Before the sli could even scream, its body was sliced cleanly in half.

Yet even so, its aura didn’t disappear. Instead, it underwent a bizarre transformation.

Monts later, the two halves of its body split into two distinct sli individuals. Fortunately, their power was halved—each now only at the level of a secondary god.

It had transford from a High God-level sli into two slis at the level of minor deities.

The sa phenonon occurred in other battle zones. Gu Yue and the others soon discovered that unless these mutated slis were utterly annihilated, simply cutting or smashing them would only cause them to split into more entities.

Seeing the two slis looking smug after splitting, Fang Chang let out a cold laugh. A giant black hole appeared from his mouth—he intended to devour them whole.

Slis might restrain the Spider Clan, but the Spider Clan could also restrain slis!
