Not long after Fang Chang had returned to his quarters at the Spider God Academy, Shrek Academy suddenly declared a lockdown.

Whether they were students of the academy or representatives from other schools participating in the tournant, no one was allowed to leave their accommodations.

Imdiately afterward, another bombshell of news broke: the headmaster of Shrek Academy and one of its elders had been assassinated within the academy grounds.

Both of them were well-known Title Douluo, and the fact that they were killed on their own turf caused a massive uproar.

As a result, the recently comnced Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Tournant was temporarily suspended.

Bang bang bang! There was a furious knocking at Fang Chang’s door. He first scanned with his divine sense to confirm the identity of the visitor before slowly walking over to open it.

"Phew, so you’re back." It was naturally Zhu Zhu. She had seen Fang Chang walking in this direction earlier, and then all the chaos erupted. Her first instinct was to co to his room and find him.

"Co in first." Fang Chang opened the door just wide enough for Zhu Zhu to slip inside, then quickly shut it behind her.

The rooms designated for academy representatives weren’t too shabby. Fang Chang’s current lodging was about twenty square ters, divided into a small antechamber and a larger inner room.

The smaller front area near the entrance served as a washroom. Further inside was a larger bedroom, and lying on the bed at the mont was a woman in a red dress.

"Big Sis!" Zhu Zhu was stunned the mont she saw her and cried out in surprise, "What are you doing here?"

Fang Chang quickly reached out and covered her mouth. Only when Zhu Zhu made a gesture indicating she understood did he let go and led her to sit to the side.

"Don’t tell tonight’s incident was caused by the two of you?" After the initial shock, Zhu Zhu quickly realized the gravity of the situation.

Zhu Jing, lying on the bed, sat up halfway and replied, "More or less. That little brother Fang Qi and I took down a few Spider Hunters."

"Then those two from Shrek Academy—the headmaster and the elder..." Zhu Zhu couldn’t help but ask. To her, this all felt too surreal.

"They were Spider Hunters," Zhu Jing explained. "Shrek Academy is basically a nest of Spider Hunters. We almost made a major discovery earlier—what a pity... sigh."

She was still fuming over their failure to apprehend the headmaster and elder of Shrek Academy. The mystery of the Spider Hunters had plagued the Spider Clan for countless years, and they had nearly uncovered the truth.

"No matter. The truth will co to light eventually," Fang Chang said indifferently.

At this point, he simply didn’t want to interfere too much with matters of the lower realm, to avoid disrupting the world’s natural order. If he really wanted, he could easily dispatch forces from the God Realm and forcibly reshape the situation in the Douluo Plane.

Moreover, with his current power and influence, the truth would eventually be exposed.

"I see." Zhu Zhu, who had lived for tens of thousands of years as a spider, quickly regained her composure. "But are you two safe here?"

"For the ti being, yes. I doubt even Shrek Academy would dare conduct a full search of the other schools’ quarters," Zhu Jing replied after so thought. "Besides, with their two Title Douluo already dead, Shrek Academy is at its weakest."

"What I’m really worried about now is that the Imperial House of the Sun-Moon Empire might get involved. If that happens, things could get tricky."

At the ntion of the Sun-Moon Imperial House, Zhu Zhu’s expression clearly tensed.

In this era, there was no longer a transcendent power like the Spirit Hall. The gap between ordinary Soul Master factions and the major empires was like a chasm.

And the Sun-Moon Empire was currently the strongest of the four great empires. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it the most powerful force on the continent.

This incident had occurred in the capital of the Sun-Moon Empire, and Shrek Academy was hosting the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Tournant—an event drawing attention from across the continent. The imperial family had every reason to get involved.

"Maybe you two should find a way to lie low sowhere else," Zhu Zhu suggested worriedly. If the Sun-Moon Empire did find out they were the perpetrators, it would be a serious problem.

"No," Fang Chang refused flatly. "We were very thorough earlier. I doubt they’ll find any evidence."

"Besides, Shrek Academy is under lockdown. If we try to leave now and get caught, we’ll only draw more suspicion."

"Mm." Zhu Jing nodded from the side, lounging lazily on Fang Chang’s bed. "I’m still alright. At least I have a legitimate identity here in Sun-Moon City."

"But if Fang Qi suddenly disappeared now, not only would he beco a pri suspect, but everyone who ca here with him would also be implicated."

"The best course of action is to remain still and wait."

"That makes sense." Zhu Zhu sighed in relief. She then tried to change the topic. "But Big Sis, maybe you should co stay in my room instead. You and Fang Qi alone in here... it’s not very proper."

"Why not? I quite like it," Zhu Jing replied with a mischievous grin. "Unless... you want to join us?"

Zhu Zhu’s cheeks turned scarlet at once. "Big Sis, what are you saying?"

"Shh. Soone’s coming," Fang Chang said. His divine sense had picked up movent outside—the sound of several soldiers approaching the room.

Just as he finished speaking, knocking ca at the door.

"Fang Qi! Is the representative from Spider God Academy, Fang Qi, here?"

These so-called soldiers didn’t knock on anyone else’s doors. They ca straight here and called him by na—this was clearly not just a routine check.

"I’m here," Fang Chang replied with a frown.

"Open the door. Co out," one of the soldiers ordered with an arrogant tone, clearly up to no good.

Inside the room, Zhu Jing had silently gotten up from the bed and stood close beside Fang Chang.

"No. I’m busy. Say whatever you need to from there," Fang Chang retorted coldly, showing no courtesy to the supposed soldiers.

"You’ve got so nerve! When we tell you to open the door, you open it. This is the territory of the Sun-Moon Empire."

"We suspect you’re involved in tonight’s Shrek Academy massacre. Open the door and co with us for questioning," another added.

Though they were dressed as soldiers, their soul power hovered around the Soul Saint level, and they all carried high-grade soul tools. Clearly, they were only pretending to be common soldiers.

Seeing Fang Chang still refusing to open up, the n outside simply kicked the door down—only to be stunned by the scene inside.

Zhu Jing was sitting right next to Fang Chang, leaning against his shoulder with an intimate deanor.

Zhu Zhu stood nearby, looking displeased—like a jealous maid.

"What, is this how the royal family teaches its people? No manners at all?" Zhu Jing’s voice turned frosty. As she spoke, a wave of soul power pressure swept out, sending chills down the spines of the "soldiers."

Why is she here?! The mont they saw Zhu Jing, their expressions changed dramatically.
