"Alright, alright. You young folks can be affectionate after we're gone," Li Yusong couldn't hold back any longer. He was eager to find out what had happened to Zhao Ming. Earlier, while Zhao Ming was washing up, they had heard so things from Zhao Wuji.

Sothing about a second martial spirit awakening and Black Fla Wings, but since it was second-hand information from Zhao Wuji, he hadn't fully understood it.

"You all know that my martial spirit is quite extraordinary," Zhao Ming said, his expression serious.

"Indeed." The three teachers nodded repeatedly. Zhao Ming's martial spirits, whether it was the first or the second, were both extrely powerful and mysterious.

"In truth, I co from a hidden family known as the Immortal Clan—the Zhao family. The legacy martial spirit of our Zhao family is the Undying Phoenix. Over thousands of years, our family has continuously explored the secrets of this martial spirit, eventually discovering that the blood of the Undying Phoenix could promote a second awakening of our martial spirits. Yesterday, I consud so of the Undying Phoenix blood that I had brought from my family, which triggered my martial spirit's second awakening," Zhao Ming explained calmly, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

"Phew." Hearing Zhao Ming's explanation, the teachers found it hard to believe, as it completely overturned their understanding. Ever since humans discovered the thod of cultivating soul power, the process had always been to awaken martial spirits at the age of six. Learning from Zhao Ming that a second awakening was possible was astonishing.

Although Zhao Ming was making things up, the idea of a second awakening for the Body Sect's martial spirits existed in Douluo Dalu 2, so his story wasn't entirely far-fetched. After all, who knew? Maybe one day all martial spirits could experience a second awakening. It was good to have dreams.

To be honest, the person who developed the thod for a second awakening of the Body Sect's martial spirits was a genius. They had broken through the conventions of martial spirit awakening, taking martial spirit developnt to a new level. That was true genius, much more impressive than the so-called Grandmaster. In Zhao Ming's eyes, only soone like that deserved to be called a master.

"Do you have any more of that blood?" Shao Xin asked curiously.

"There is so left, but not much. And it wouldn't be useful for you." Zhao Ming quickly added. He had indeed kept a drop or two of the Undying Blood.

The reason he kept so was for ergencies.

After all, the powerful soul beasts like Gu Yuena viewed him as the ancient Undying Phoenix, so he needed sothing to prove his identity. Having the Undying Blood on him could serve as proof if he ever got captured by them. But now that Zhao Ming had awakened the Immortal Wings and beco a humanoid soul beast, he no longer needed it.

After all, with wings on his back, no one could say he was just a human, right?

Though that thought sounded strange, Zhao Ming knew that from a biological standpoint, he had transcended the level of an ordinary human. If he ever ended up captured by Gu Yuena and the others, he could talk his way out of it.

Thinking about this, Zhao Ming handed the remaining Undying Blood to Shao Xin.

Shao Xin took the jade vial from Zhao Ming and imdiately felt a sense of gravity.

Even a single drop of blood gave him a feeling of danger and pressure. Not only Shao Xin, but everyone else felt the sa.

"What a terrifying soul beast. Just a single drop of blood gives this much pressure." Li Yusong said, his expression serious. His martial spirit, the Dragon Pattern Staff, had a trace of draconic aura, but even so, it was suppressed in the presence of this blood.

After a mont of awe, Shao Xin returned the vial to Zhao Ming.

Looking at Zhao Ming, he no longer viewed him as a junior but with equal respect.

"Do you know how much your strength has increased?" Zhao Wuji, still curious, asked.

"I'm curious about that myself. How about you spar with , Teacher Li Yusong?" Zhao Ming grinned.

"You brat, you didn't ask Zhao Wuji to spar but ca to . Are you taking for an easy target?" Li Yusong laughed and scolded. "But if you want to fight , I won't hold back."

"Of course." Zhao Ming chuckled.

Zhao Ming had a reason for choosing Li Yusong as his sparring partner. Li Yusong was a sixty-third-level Soul Emperor, and even if he went all out, Zhao Ming wouldn't be seriously injured. They could both fight without restraint. However, if it were Zhao Wuji, his power would be too overwhelming, and they would have to be cautious, which wouldn't allow Zhao Ming to truly test his strength.

The two of them walked to the academy's training grounds and faced each other.

"Teacher Li, go all out. Don't worry; even if I can't beat you, I'll have no problem running away." Zhao Ming smiled as the black fla wings on his back spread open. The wings flapped, and he floated in mid-air, hovering about three feet above the ground.

As the wings unfolded, Zhao Ming's clothes were ruined once again, revealing his muscular upper body.

"These wings really are hard on clothes." Zhao Ming couldn't help but sigh.

He made a ntal note to ask Brigitte to tailor so special outfits for him next ti he visited Soto City. Otherwise, constantly ruining his clothes was too wasteful and didn't look good.

Despite his internal complaints, Zhao Ming's appearance shocked everyone.

Zhao Wuji and the others silently calculated how much of a boost these wings would provide Zhao Ming in battle.

Ning Rongrong and the other girls stared at Zhao Ming with starry eyes. To be honest, his muscular physique combined with the black fla wings made him look like a demon god erging from the flas, an image with undeniable appeal to the girls.

"Damn, Zhao Ming, you're totally cheating." Seeing the wings that seed to grow directly from Zhao Ming's body, Li Yusong couldn't help but exclaim.

Just from Zhao Ming's wings alone, Li Yusong knew that no one below the Soul Sage level could handle him.

Below the Soul Sage level, even if Zhao Ming couldn't win, escaping wouldn't be a problem. Of course, against a Soul Sage or higher, it would be different due to the significant difference in soul power.

"Heh, Teacher Li, don't hold back." Zhao Ming grinned.

"Alright." Li Yusong nodded, his expression serious. Seeing Zhao Ming looking like a fiery demon, a thought suddenly crossed his mind.

Could it be... could he really defeat ?

The thought startled Li Yusong. Earlier, when he joked about Zhao Ming picking an easy opponent, he didn't an it seriously.

After all, he was a Soul Emperor.

If he lost to a new student like Zhao Ming, it would be a huge blow to his reputation, and he would beco the butt of jokes among his peers. When Zhao Wuji returned from the entrance test with injuries, Li Yusong had laughed at him quite a bit.

Li Yusong furrowed his brow and glanced over at Zhao Wuji.

Zhao Wuji was watching with a cheerful smile.
