TL: GoldenLung

The nurous Higher Dragons present could not help widening their eyes.

In truth, among Interdiate and Lower Dragons, there were quite a few willing to acknowledge a master—because doing so ant the possibility of evolution.

Lower Dragons hoped to evolve into Interdiate Dragons. Interdiate Dragons, even more so, longed to advance into Higher Dragons.

If one could beco a Higher Dragon, it would be a teoric rise. And if the Golden Dragon Princess were to one day beco a Dragon Knight, her servant would beco a mount dragon.

That was exactly what Yu Jiu was thinking.

So when he was selected as Lan Xuanyu’s opponent for the second match, he was overjoyed. Under normal circumstances, he would never have the chance to beco a mount dragon. But now, he saw hope.

That was why, the mont he stepped forward, he did not hesitate to declare his intentions to Lan Xuanyu.

Lan Xuanyu frowned slightly and shook his head. “No need. I do not require any more servants.”

Yu Jiu was montarily stunned and said in confusion, “Your Highness the Golden Dragon Princess, I am not comparable to that little one from yesterday.

“Even among Interdiate Dragons, I am considered outstanding. Even if I cannot advance to Higher Dragon status in the future, I still have the possibility of stepping into the god realm. Why are you unwilling to accept

as your servant? Am I not more useful than that one from yesterday?”

Lan Xuanyu replied calmly, “This is not a matter of usefulness. Yan Cheng is my first servant, and for now, he will also be my only one. I have no plans to accept another.”

“Do you wish to fight, or—”

Yu Jiu’s expression gradually darkened as he slowly rose from the ground.

He had not expected such a direct refusal. His good mood vanished instantly.

A rare opportunity to beco a Dragon Knight’s mount had slipped through his fingers. How could he not feel resentnt?

“Your Highness the Golden Dragon Princess,” Yu Jiu said, “your bloodline may indeed be noble. But in terms of combat ability, you may not necessarily be my match. Will you truly not reconsider?”

Yu Jiu’s aura suddenly erupted. The surroundings were instantly illuminated in azure-blue.

His pupils turned vertical. The sharp fangs at his lips glead with crystalline light, clearly gathering energy.

“Are you threatening ?” Lan Xuanyu said coldly.

At those words, the Higher Dragons watching from afar simultaneously turned their gazes toward Yu Jiu.

The dignity of the dragon race could not be violated.

Among dragons, bloodline supremacy was an eternal truth.

If a Lower Dragon dared offend a Higher Dragon, once confird, even if death were not imdiate, its future would be utterly ruined.

Yu Jiu’s eyes shifted slightly. He lowered his head a little and said, “I would not dare. Since Your Highness is unwilling to accept

as a servant, then please allow

to offend you—by challenging you.”

“Very well,” Lan Xuanyu replied succinctly.

In the next instant, Yu Jiu suddenly struck the ground with his head. His four thick legs beneath his abdon stomped down violently.

A heavy roar resounded across the Rising Dragon Platform as his massive body charged toward Lan Xuanyu.

The surrounding air instantly solidified. A terrifying binding force surged from all directions toward Lan Xuanyu.

In that instant, he seed to be trapped within a storm vortex, unable to struggle free.

Yu Jiu’s wind attribute was completely different from the wind ability of the lizard dragon Bai Xiuxiu had faced the previous day.

Yu Jiu’s wind was used for binding and suppressing opponents—preventing them from taking flight.

Although Yu Jiu could fly, his heavy body ant that flight was not his strength.

Thus, his combat style was to restrict the opponent’s movent and defeat them from the front.

Lan Xuanyu stood unmoving.

Enormous wind pressure converged from all directions, distorting the surrounding space. Even spatial attribute abilities would be interfered with under such pressure.

Yu Jiu truly was a standout among Interdiate Dragons—far beyond the Lower Dragon Bai Xiuxiu had faced the day before.

The distance between Yu Jiu and Lan Xuanyu had not been great to begin with. Charging at full speed, he arrived before Lan Xuanyu in an instant.

Several Higher Dragons observing the battle frowned.

They did not understand why Lan Xuanyu showed no reaction whatsoever.

Yu Jiu was clearly a power-type dragon. His sharp fangs must possess trendous destructive force.

Facing such an opponent, Lan Xuanyu should have revealed his true form imdiately, or broken through the wind pressure to escape the encirclent before engaging in battle.

But he simply stood there.

Was he being suppressed by the wind pressure? Or did he simply not care?

But he could not possibly not care.

Even the Higher Dragons present would absolutely not wish to be struck head-on by Yu Jiu.

What was the Golden Dragon Princess doing?

All the spectators held their breath.

On the Rising Dragon Platform, only the thunderous sound of the Azure-Blue Elephant Dragon Yu Jiu charging forward could be heard.

The distance between them grew shorter and shorter.

When Yu Jiu’s foremost fang was still twenty ters away from Lan Xuanyu—

Lan Xuanyu moved.

His left foot stepped forward abruptly.

Golden light blazed from his body. Golden dragon scales and the Divine Dragon Armor manifested instantly.

But he did not use the dragon spear.

A golden halo blossod beneath his feet. Within the halo were magnificent and intricate patterns.

It did not expand outward; it remained only around his body.

At the sa ti, he let out a long roar.

Roar—

Amid the imnse dragon’s roar, a golden dragon head burst forth from his body, nearly as large as Lan Xuanyu himself.

Even so, compared to the colossal body of the Azure-Blue Elephant Dragon, it still appeared small.

That furious roar caused Yu Jiu’s movents to slow noticeably—

Because of fear rising from the depths of his soul.

Not only him.

Even the Higher Dragons watching, though separated by energy barriers, felt their bloodlines stir upon hearing that dragon roar.

So were suppressed.

Others were struck with instinctive fear.

As Lan Xuanyu roared, his body half-turned, twisted—

And punched.

Boom—

The fist radiating brilliant golden light collided instantly with Yu Jiu’s sharp fang.

In that instant, Yu Jiu’s entire body erupted with dazzling azure-blue radiance, pouring all his strength into his fang.

Yet no matter how intense his light was, it could not compare to the golden figure before him—

That figure was like the sun, suddenly bursting forth with incomparably dazzling and scorching brilliance.

Boom—

A second violent roar resounded.

The first explosion had occurred at the mont of collision.

The second occurred when the two separated.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Yu Jiu staggered backward repeatedly.

With each step he retreated, his sharp fangs fractured further.

Cracks spread not only across the fang struck by Lan Xuanyu’s punch, but also across his other fangs.

The fang that had taken the blow was gradually being forced inward into Yu Jiu’s mouth, on the verge of piercing into his skull.

“Bang!”

A figure appeared instantly behind Yu Jiu and struck his thick rear skull scales with a palm.

With a muffled “pfft,” all six fangs shattered simultaneously.

Yu Jiu let out a miserable scream and collapsed.

That figure was the middle-aged man presiding over today’s match.

He stood atop Yu Jiu’s body, his gaze fixed on Lan Xuanyu.

Looking at Lan Xuanyu, who stood in place slowly retracting his fist, the middle-aged man’s expression was complex beyond words.
