Chapter 84 Let Your Fist Talk

After taking a long detour—first heading south, then turning east—the group continued running and hiking across the uneven terrain. From ti to ti, Iryoku would dash off ahead or linger behind, scanning the area to make sure no one was tailing them.

Moving at high speed, he leapt onto the branch of a tree and used it to propel himself into the air. He launched his harpoon toward a rocky hill, the rope pulling him up as he landed on top. Without pausing, he kept scouting, then fired the harpoon again—this ti launching himself back to the ground as he scanned the next area.

Reika and Yumi wanted to speak to Alessandra, but she remained quiet, unsure how to break the ice. She stayed close to the children, doing her best to keep them calm and safe.

Eventually, Iryoku returned from one of his scouting runs, slightly winded.

“I haven’t sensed them nearby for a while,” he said.

The group let out a collective breath of relief. For the first ti in hours, a flicker of hope lit up their tired faces.

Iryoku turned to Reika.

“Reika, my love, how long do you think it’ll take us to reach Babel?” he asked softly, with a faint teasing tone.

Reika’s cheeks flushed red. She side-eyed Alessandra for a brief mont, then quickly pulled out a folded map from her bag—her long hair now let down and swaying in the breeze.

“At this pace… probably about two days,” she said grimly.

Iryoku glanced at the back of Roghan, who was still trudging forward with the seven children piled on his broad back. He sighed, rubbing the back of his head.

“All right… let’s find sowhere to rest and get so food in us.”

They eventually found a spot near a small hill.

As soon as they arrived, they finally let themselves relax.

Iryoku collapsed to the ground, breath heavy from exhaustion. Yumi and Reika moved closer, leaning over him with concern.

“Are you okay, Iryoku?” Yumi asked, gently poking his forehead.

Reika flapped her hand to fan him, worry plain on her face. “Are you hurt anywhere? You’ve been running a lot.”

Suddenly, he moved—grabbing both girls and pulling them down into his arms.

“Ahh… just tired,” he murmured, hugging them close. “Nothing a little cuddling with two beauties couldn’t fix.”

“A-ah…!” Both girls blushed furiously.

Blaze stood nearby, arms crossed, eyes narrowing. At first, she thought they were just fooling around—but then, sothing didn’t sit right.

Yumi squird, her face flushing deeper as Iryoku’s hand crept lower. “N-No… Sensei is watching…” she whispered, trying to pry his hand away from her butt.

Reika, mortified, covered her eyes with one hand. She was barely used to this kind of teasing when it was just the three of them. But now, with their sensei watching—and those children nearby—it felt overwhelmingly embarrassing.

She hissed through clenched teeth, struggling. “Iryoku… stop it!” as his hand slipped to her bottom, too.

Blaze’s eyes darkened. She had seen enough.

“Hey! What the hell do you think you’re doing, you pervert?!” she snapped, storming forward. “Let them go!”

Yumi reached out, panicked. “W-Wait, Sensei! It’s okay—don’t—!”

But Blaze had already grabbed Iryoku’s arm, yanking it with brutal force.

“Get your damn hands off them,” she growled, her voice low and cold. “I didn’t think you were this kind of bastard…”

She didn’t know why—but sothing deep inside her scread to protect these girls with everything she had. And as she looked at Iryoku—really looked—the sting in her chest only burned stronger.

The children who had just climbed off Roghan’s back stood frozen, wide-eyed and frightened by the sudden confrontation.

Iryoku stared back, his expression shifting—his usual playful smirk vanishing. Sothing darker flickered across his face.

Seeing the tension spike, Reika raised her hand awkwardly from where he was still holding her.

“Please, Sensei… it’s not what it looks like. We’re… in a re..relation...ship...,” she said, but her voice faltered with sha. “… We should’ve explained everything from the start… even with your mories, this must be really strange for you…”

Yumi looked up at Alessandra, her voice trembling—shy, but sincere.

“Sensei… we’re okay. He’s not doing anything bad to us. Please… don’t fight.”

Blaze hesitated, her eyes flicking between them. Then slowly—reluctantly—she released Iryoku’s arm.

But his face darkened.

Without a word, he let the girls out of his embrace, stood, and glanced down at his arm—where her hand had been.

A large, ugly bruise was already blooming.

“…Oi, oi… you’ve got to be kidding ,” he muttered, stepping forward, voice suddenly low and venomous.

Blaze stood still, head lowered, trying to calm the storm inside her. Her chest was tight, her breathing uneven.

Both Yumi and Reika felt dread crawling up their spines at the look on Iryoku’s face.

He squared up right in front of Blaze, their faces now just inches apart.

He raised his bruised arm between them. “Really? You hurt like this, and you say nothing?” His voice dripped with scorn.

Both Reika and Yumi gasped when they saw the bruise.

Blaze looked stunned, lips parting as she tried to speak—

But Iryoku cut her off, his voice rising with anger.

“Seriously? I can see the difference in how you treat people—”

“Back at that fucking place, when they were about to slaughter those kids like animals—all you did was ekly grab that Blessed bastard’s arm. You barely held him back—didn’t even try to hurt him!” And now here, you stop from touching my own wives—and crush my arm like this?!”

His voice shook with fury and hurt, every word biting deep.

Reika moved quickly to him, eyes pleading.

“Iryoku, please… just drop it…she—” she begged.

But he kept going.

“Did you really lose your mories, or…”

He paused. Blaze t his gaze—her face caught between guilt, anger, and confusion.

Her mind raced: I know this young man is important to … but why? I don’t rember… and… do I even want to rember?

Iryoku snapped her out of it, voice sharper:

“...Or did you just turn back into that angry person you used to be—soone who was only good at hurting people?” he spat.

Her eyes trembled.

“No… I’m not like that,” she whispered, clutching her head.

Yumi grabbed Iryoku’s arm, voice tight and wavering with tears.

“Iryoku, this isn’t helping,” she pleaded, glancing desperately between him and her sensei.

But Iryoku stepped even closer, his face almost touching Alessandra’s. For a mont, his voice dropped—softer, almost vulnerable:

“Tell truthfully…”

His eyes locked onto hers, searching, desperate.

“are you scaping of your mories .... did you wanted so hard to forget?”

Blaze’s breath caught. Hearing he speak, she shook her head, sha burning her chest.

“I… I’m sorry… I don’t know …”

Iryoku’s next words ca low, barely above a whisper.

“Kota and Kei… do they an so little to you?”

Her eyes snapped up to et his.

His gaze was sharp again—full of contempt, anger, and raw pain.

His body trembled—and then, suddenly, he lunged forward.

He shoved her hard, knocking her to the ground.

“Ah—!” Blaze grunted, her back hitting the dirt.

“You dare forget them?!” he roared, his voice shaking with a kind of rage the girls had never heard from him before.

Yumi and Reika froze, wide-eyed and speechless.

Blaze, stunned, looked up at him—at the twisted fury on his face.

Iryoku barked down at her, each word ragged and raw:

“You can forget anything—you can forget your students… forget , I don’t care. What happened between us doesn’t matter…”

His voice cracked.

“But why the hell did you forget them?! Why don’t you want to rember?!”

Thud.

“No!” scread Yumi.

Reika gasped, covering her mouth in shock.

—as Iryoku was thrown back, landing hard from Blaze’s punch. She stood up, chest heaving.

“Argh…!” she yelled, charging at Iryoku as he shakily got to his feet and shook his head clear.

Blaze swung again—a brutal punch—but Iryoku sidestepped, then countered with a sharp strike across her face. Her head snapped to the side, but she didn’t stop. She pivoted and launched a sharp side kick at his ribs.

Iryoku jumped over the kick, twisted midair, and slamd his foot into her stomach—knocking her back. He landed lightly on his feet, ready for more.

Blaze wiped the blood trailing from the corner of her mouth, eyes locked on him. She spat to the side—defiant.

Iryoku curled his fingers, beckoning her forward with a slight smirk.

“Please—Sensei… Iryoku… stop!” Yumi sobbed, her voice cracking. “This isn’t the ti for fighting… please…”

She trembled, fear and doubt twisting in her chest.

But they didn’t listen.

They clashed again—Blaze spun, her leg sweeping toward his head, but Iryoku ducked under it, stepped in close, and slamd a punch across her face.

“Arghhh—!” Blaze staggered as the blow landed, but she resisted, gritting her teeth. Seizing the mont, her hands shot up and caught his arm before he could pull away. With a fierce grunt, she yanked him closer, locking her arms around his torso.

“I got you, asshole!” she snarled.

Iryoku’s gaze stayed locked on hers, deadly calm.

“Then just kill , you stupid bitch,” he spat, a twisted grin on his face.

“Stop already!” Reika scread, her voice shaking. “You’re scaring the children!”

For a heartbeat, silence fell. Then both turned slowly—to see the children clumped together, trembling, eyes wide with fear. Tears stread down their faces.

“Please… don’t fight…” little Kima sobbed, her voice cracking through the heavy tension.

Blaze felt the guilt pierce straight through her chest. She let go of Iryoku.

He looked at her for a brief mont—his expression unreadable—then turned away, walking toward the treeline.

“Iryoku, where are you going? Reika will heal you!” Yumi called after him, worry in her voice, hand reaching out instinctively.

Without turning back, he answered flatly,

“I’m going to find food for the kids.”

And with that, he leapt forward—vanishing into the forest, a blur among the shadows at unimaginable speed.

Blaze stood there, watching his back disappear. Sha burned deep in her chest.

He wasn’t even really fighting seriously… she thought.

Later, they gathered around a large bonfire.

Iryoku had just returned, carrying the carcass of a lizard-like monster slung across his back. Without a word, he began skinning and cutting the beast, preparing it to cook over the flas.

Reika stood behind him, quietly channeling healing magic over his bruises and scrapes. She had already tended to Alessandra’s wounds.

Yumi, uncertain and uneasy, stayed close to Iryoku, occasionally glancing between him and Alessandra. Her mood was low, her shoulders slumped.

“Do… do you need help cooking it, Iryoku?” she asked softly.

Iryoku turned to her, his eyes tired.

“Don’t worry,” he said simply.

Alessandra sat a little apart, surrounded by the seven demihuman children clinging to her for comfort. Her eyes, distant and clouded with thought, drifted toward Iryoku as he worked.

“You… should keep the skin too,” she murmured. “You can make useful things from it. The teeth as well. Everything can be used…”

Iryoku’s hand paused briefly—but he didn’t turn around. Silently, he continued butchering the at.

Alessandra let out a quiet sigh, lowering her gaze—

Then his voice ca, low and steady:

“A good man must be resourceful… even in hell.”

Her eyes widened slightly. Sothing stirred in her chest—a distant familiarity. Her expression softened as she looked down at her arms, where little Kima and her brother Kael lay snoring peacefully.

Yumi watched her for a mont, then seed to gather her courage. She stood and walked toward Alessandra. Though her voice was soft, it was clear—and deliberate, even as her fidgeting hands betrayed her nervousness.

“Alessandra… Mamoru-sensei.”

Alessandra looked up, eting Yumi’s eyes.

Reika turned as well, her attention sharpening.

Yumi took a deep breath, steadying herself.

“We… are not from this world. You—” she pointed gently at Alessandra, then at Reika, “Reika Rizumu,” and finally at Iryoku, “that delinquent-looking guy, Iryoku Taiyou—and , Yumi Chiisai. We’re your students from a school back in our world.”

She swallowed hard.

“Sohow, we were transported here together. And we’ve been struggling to survive—together. Trying to find a way ho… back to our families.”

Her voice softened. “You’re a good person. You, Reika… even Iryoku. Back at school, you all protected from bullies. I trust every one of you with my life. And even if you don’t rember… please, trust us too.”

She hesitated, then added shyly, “I want you to be at ease. We… love you. Even that tsundere baka over there.” She pointed toward Iryoku.

Alessandra blinked, surprised. Her eyes flicked to Iryoku’s back, then returned to the two girls. A small, awkward smile passed between all three of them.

She didn’t answer right away. Instead, she looked down at the two sleeping children nestled in her lap, her voice barely above a whisper.

“It feels strange… that I’m supposed to be your teacher,” she murmured. “I don’t feel that much older than you three…”

Reika chuckled softly. “We’re not far apart, that’s true. You’re definitely a very young—and very pretty—teacher, Sensei.”

She glanced toward Iryoku.

“And Mr. Delinquent over there… well, he’s actually closer to your age than ours. And… I think you’re really important to him. Just like we are.”

Iryoku flipped his dagger in one hand, muttering under his breath.

“I’m a bad guy, rember? I’m only interested in her body.”

He still didn’t turn around.

Yumi puffed up her cheeks. “I told you—tsundere…” she huffed, glancing at Reika, who smiled and nodded.

“Definitely.”

Then Iryoku spoke again, more quietly.

“Rember what I promised you both?”

A wide grin slowly crept across his face.

Both girls turned away shyly, cheeks flushed, their eyes quickly dropping to the ground as if to hide their reactions.
