Chapter 815: Chapter 814: Give Her a Position Above All Others

Wufu’s words aren’t just polite chatter; under the blows of nature, humans are insignificant, and while we possess so things in this day and age, they’re not quite enough compared to high-tech advances.

Even this tower ship we’re on, it looks sturdy, but can it compare to the warships of the future?

Under the power of nature, so ships can’t even withstand destruction, let alone this tower ship. If a storm hit fiercely, she really worries if this ship would fall apart.

“Don’t worry, don’t we have a great scholar claiming to have the Lucky God within him?” Wufu joked seeing Ah Jiu’s tightly furrowed brow.

Yan Er got caught in the joke and said, “Why point the cannon at !”

Wufu giggled, looked down, and suddenly asked, “What are they doing?”

Ah Jiu and Yan Er looked down simultaneously to see the deck below, where sailors had set up tables and altars, scattered rice, burned incense, burnt paper, and kowtowed, muttering devout prayers.

“They should be worshiping the Sea Dragon King or so god,” Yan Er observed, then asked Wufu, “You didn’t know?”

“Engaging in feudal superstition, huh!” Wufu chuckled.

“Seeing how logical your analysis was earlier, one would think you’d been to the sea, yet you don’t know what they’re worshiping?” Yan Er didn’t let it go, continuing to press her.

Ah Jiu glanced at him indifferently.

Wufu smiled without speaking, looked back towards the sky, whose colors had shifted from brilliant to dark and somber, like a child’s face turning from a smile to a frown.

“Let’s go back,” Wufu said, turning to head inside the cabin.

Ah Jiu still stood there, hands clasped behind his back, gazing at the sky, lips slightly pursed.

“Xiao Ah Jiu, where on earth did you find such a little girl? She’s really sothing!” With only the two of them left on the deck, Yan Er couldn’t help but ask.

Ah Jiu looked at him: “Haven’t you heard that curiosity killed the cat?”

“You should know that when I’m curious, I’ve got to get to the bottom of things,” Yan Er said. “That girl, her observational skills are truly impressive. She notices the little details others miss. At such a young age, it’s hard not to be curious.”

“Oh? How does she compare to Mr. Yan?”

Yan Er was silent for a mont and then said, “In terms of observational skills and detail perception, I’m afraid I’m not as good as she is.”

Ah Jiu was astonished; for the esteed Master of Top Scholar to offer such praise was indeed an honor.

“If she knew you were praising her like this, she’d probably be cocky enough to wag her tail,” Ah Jiu chuckled softly.

“It’s just the truth. Moreover, there are so things she knows more about than I do,” Yan Er continued. “That’s why I’m so curious about what kind of person this girl is, for you to trust her and for those under you to be convinced by her.”

Yan Er naturally knew Ah Jiu’s status, and the people around him were not easily satisfied, yet they were convinced by Wufu, indicating her magnetic charm.

Hearing Yan Er’s words, Ah Jiu’s gaze softened, “That’s just her talent. As for what kind of person she is, you’re asking too much!” With that, he turned to leave.

“My lord,” Yan Er called after him.

Ah Jiu paused his steps, raising an eyebrow in confusion as he looked at him.

“Have you got your eye on this girl?” Yan Er squinted as he asked.

“Isn’t it obvious?”

“That girl’s very headstrong; she won’t easily submit to others!”

Ah Jiu smiled slightly, “Then I’ll just give her a position above others.”

Yan Er watched him walk away and chuckled softly, “My dear Ninth Prince, to give that position above others, how many difficulties must you overco?”
