Chapter 539: 539 cards to the fate of the trash

Hoo Die, bringing with him the chill of wind and snow, ca in and firstly paid his respects to Ah Jiu, and then nodded to Wufu before he was about to speak, but was stopped by Yuan Ye.

“Covered in dust, go freshen up before you co back to answer to the master,” Yuan Ye said.

Hoo Die glared, wanting to argue—where was the dust in these snowy days?

However, seeing Ah Jiu frown, he could only obediently go down and clean himself up.

In fact, everyone had slled the blood on him; with such a bloody stench, especially in the main hall, how could it possibly be convenient to speak?

Xiao Li ca to inform them that the room was ready. Ah Jiu then stood up to go upstairs to the room, and Wufu had no choice but to follow.

In just the ti it took to drink two cups of tea, Hoo Die had changed clothes and co back, shouting at Yuan Ye, “Hurry up and get

sothing to eat, I starved chasing after you guys all the way here.”

Yuan Ye said, “I’ve already given the orders.”

Hoo Die then grinned satisfactorily—this dark-faced deity sure knew how to do things.

“How did the mission go?” Ah Jiu asked.

“What you entrusted

with, how dare I not follow it? It was done right on Green Bridge Mountain,” Hoo Die replied.

Ah Jiu asked, “You didn’t alarm anyone, did you?”

“Master, there’s a nest of rookie bandits on Green Bridge Mountain. I personally took them there, we ambushed, robbed, and left. I’m not posing—I really played the bandit this ti!” Hoo Die said with a proud face.

As it turned out, to avoid arousing Yu Zhen’s suspicion, Hoo Die hadn’t made his move while still in the prefecture city. After leaving, he followed suit. Green Bridge Mountain was on the required path, and when Hoo Die arrived ahead of schedule, he happened upon a nest of novice bandits. So he led them to set up the ambush.

By the ti Yu Zhen and his party arrived, the bandits were responsible for the robbery, and Hoo Die was clearing the way. He was under orders to go straight for Yu Zhen.

Yu Zhen, originally lacking Kung Fu skills and not expecting bandits, was accompanied by re servants, including two pretty maids he had recently acquired. How could they be a match for Hoo Die?

The bandits had so fighting skills and, following Hoo Die’s instructions, would run up the mountain after the robbery, while Hoo Die smoothly crippled Yu Zhen.

One eye, two hands, one leg, he incapacitated him completely according to Ah Jiu’s instructions.

“Wasn’t he following Master Qu Liu?” Wufu asked with so doubt, wondering why Yu Zhen was so easily defeated.

“Qu Liu left early the morning after the event ended, and Yu Zhen just won two new girls at the brothel, quite taken by them. He was considering buying their freedom and ended up staying a few days more. Besides, I guess he also wanted to see how you would suffer, and that’s why he was alone,” Ah Jiu said with a cold smile.

Wufu’s mouth quirked to the side: “Isn’t this a case of reaping what you sow?”

If he had left with Qu Liu, nothing would have happened. Now, encountering bandits, and ones that are half real, half fake at that, how could anyone suspect her? Even if they did, what evidence would they have?

“You didn’t kill him, did you?” Wufu asked.

Hoo Die glared: “Would Master Hoo not listen to his master?” aning he had crippled him but not killed him.

Ah Jiu frowned, “Are you feeling sorry for him?”

Wufu rolled his eyes, “Am I that kind? Isn’t it better for him to be living a fate worse than death? From now on, he might be alive but can’t refine anything again. Tsk, tsk, he would never have imagined that this trip to the prefecture city would bring him such calamity!”

Ah Jiu said, “Such a shaless villain, not even worthy of ntion. Now that the vengeance is exacted, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see him again in the future.”

Wufu nodded in agreent.

With Yu Zhen crippled, not to ntion his master no longer teaching him, Thousand Treasures Tower was unlikely to support such a useless person. Moreover, he had lost face for Thousand Treasures Tower in the competition, presenting an opportune mont to discard him.

Poor Yu Zhen, just when he was basking in the glory of his victory, he faced such misfortune. So people, upon learning of it later, sighed endlessly.
