Chapter 1521: Chapter 1459: Burden

After applying the dicine, Wufu once again arrived at Ah Jiu’s sleeping quarters and saw Ghost Doctor and Yuan Ye talking about sothing. He hastened over.

"Xiao Bai, how is he?"

Bai Xiaobai frowned and said, "His heart pulse is sowhat chaotic and unstable. What exactly happened at that ti?"

Wufu then recalled the scene of that ti.

"That’s it, his heart pulse received a violent shock, how can he not get internal injuries? As for the corrosion on his hand, it was because of Xue Dizi’s blood. If you can quickly cut away the rotten flesh to stop it from decaying further and then administer the antidote, it will be fine."

"He wasn’t poisoned?"

"He took the Thousand Poisons Immunity pill I painstakingly crafted, how could he possibly be poisoned?" Bai Xiaobai rolled his eyes at her, with a look of displeasure that seed to say, ’You underestimate

and I’m not happy about it.’

"Then why is he unconscious and not waking up?" Wufu asked with a somber face.

ntioning this, Bai Xiaobai also seed a bit perplexed, it was a question he couldn’t quite figure out either.

"I examined his body and found no signs of poisoning, just internal and external injuries, his pulse is not very stable."

Upon hearing this, Wufu said, "Then there is definitely a problem. If there wasn’t, how could his pulse be unstable? Could it be there are poisons unknown to you, which is why you couldn’t diagnose it?"

Bai Xiaobai reacted to her jibe, angrily saying, "Nonsense, is there any poison I can’t diagnose? That’s impossible. I’m the Ghost Doctor, my dical skills may not be unsurpassed, but when it cos to playing with poisons, who can beat ?"

Wufu sneered at him, "Xue Dizi is ranked fourth among the assassins, how about you?"

"I!" Bai Xiaobai trembled with anger, "I guess you don’t want

to heal your internal injuries then, hmph! How dare you offend the healer, truly like the God of Longevity hanging himself, tired of living!"

Wufu chuckled awkwardly.

Yuan Ye watched from the side as the two began to argue and interjected, "This is no ti for quarrels, we need to wake the prince!"

Bai Xiaobai nodded.

"Master, you’re awake!" Inside the room, Xiao Li’s jubilant voice echoed.

Wufu rushed inside and indeed saw Ah Jiu opening his eyes, instantly feeling a surge of joy, asking, "Ah Jiu, you’re awake? How are you feeling?"

Ah Jiu’s eyes lit up upon seeing Wufu, getting up while asking, "Are you okay?"

After all, she had helped him by taking a sword strike.

Wufu shook her head, "I’m fine, the injuries are only superficial, didn’t injure any bones, dicine’s been applied, a few days of rest and I’ll be better!"

Ah Jiu, however, revealed a bitter smile and said, "I’m sorry, I ended up dragging you into this." If it weren’t for the calamity he brought, how could she, a woman, suffer such misery?

"Don’t ntion dragging anyone into anything, we’re on the sa side, don’t say it again in the future. But you, do you feel anything wrong?" Wufu called to Bai Xiaobai, "While he’s awake, check his pulse again."

Bai Xiaobai thought, if you hadn’t taken my spot, I would’ve checked his pulse already.

Wufu stepped aside, Bai Xiaobai sat down and carefully felt his pulse, alternating between his two hands, finally releasing them after a long while.

"How is it?" Everyone was looking at him, including Ah Jiu himself.

"The pulse is gradually stabilizing."

Wufu breathed a sigh of relief, and Ah Jiu smiled too.

"However..." Bai Xiaobai hesitated.

"What now?"

Bai Xiaobai shook his head and said, "Forget it, maybe I’m overthinking it. The prince has just woken up, hasn’t completely recovered yet. After so ti, I’ll check his pulse again."

He couldn’t tell if it was his imagination, but when he checked the pulse earlier, he felt a montary stagnation at the heart position. Was it due to the internal injury?
