Chapter 1388: Chapter 1386: She Has Evidence Against

Wu Lihong walked out of the Changqing Residence with a dark face. Ignoring the bruises on his face, he rushed back to the Wu Family in his carriage, heading straight to his mother’s courtyard.

Old Madam Wu was working in a small patch of land she had dug out in her yard with a small hoe. Seeing him rush in, she looked up and gasped at his face.

"Who hit your face?" Old Madam Wu, startled, dropped the hoe in her hand.

Wu Lihong covered his face, hissed, and said, "Mother, now is not the ti to talk about this. Sothing’s happened!"

Old Madam Wu’s heart skipped a beat, what has happened?

The mother and son returned indoors to sit and talk; Wu Lihong first recounted the events at Changqing Residence and ntioned Madam Zhou’s decision.

Old Madam Wu’s face darkened as she slamd the edge of the kang: "I’ve lived all these years and never seen a concubine so arrogant. Just because she says it, it’s supposed to be so? She refuses to acknowledge it? Even wants the child to take her surna! This is truly absurd; is she trying to play hard to get?"

"Mother, I don’t think Madam Zhou is joking about not wanting to co to the mansion anymore." Wu Lihong didn’t think Madam Zhou was playing hard to get. He had never seen her so steadfast, and the determination on her face was unprecedented, so he believed she ant it.

Old Madam Wu spoke sternly: "Wasn’t she supposed to be quite compliant?"

"She is compliant, a softy by nature, easily influenced, especially with Wufu, that rebellious girl often provoking her, how could she not be swayed?" Wu Lihong was most angry with Wufu. In Huayang, when Wufu was absent, everything went smoothly; Madam Zhou only listened to him. But after seeing Wufu, everything changed!

"Well, well, I, this old woman, have really seen it all now!" Old Madam Wu laughed angrily, saying, "They’re from the countryside, and we can’t do anything about them?"

Wu Lihong’s lips quivered, truly at a loss. That damn girl, she has Silver, has people, and has strange Kung Fu skills.

He covered his face, which still hurt, and missing teeth; the damn girl was really ruthless.

"Did she hit your face too? We’ll sue her, sue her for being unfilial!" Old Madam Wu, fuming, started getting out of bed to put on her shoes.

"Mother, we mustn’t, we mustn’t! That girl has sothing on !" Wu Lihong hurriedly grabbed her arm and said urgently.

Old Madam Wu was stunned: "Sothing on you, what does she have?"

Wu Lihong was a bit hesitant, stamring, "Well, back when I was with Madam Zhou, I once wrote a marriage certificate for her."

"What?" Old Madam Wu shrieked, "A marriage certificate?"

"What marriage certificate?" Madam Wang burst in from outside, glaring at Wu Lihong: "You wrote a marriage certificate for Madam Zhou? What on earth is going on here, you need to clarify this for !"

A marriage certificate, was it so easy to write?

Is he crazy!

Wu Lihong shook off Madam Wang’s hand and said, "Let go of , I haven’t settled the score with you yet!"

"Settle the score with ? You even wrote her a marriage certificate. Do you know how serious this is?" Madam Wang scread, "You must not want to be an official anymore!"

Old Madam Wu was so annoyed by the shouting that her head hurt. She yelled, "Quiet, all of you, let Wu Lihong speak first. What on earth happened?"

A marriage certificate, if the eldest wrote a marriage certificate and it’s still in her possession, but then he married Madam Wang, wouldn’t that be marriage fraud?

What a ss this is!

"Mother, I don’t rember, anyway, I wrote it!" Wu Lihong was also very frustrated. How could he have forgotten such a thing!
