Chapter 1281: Chapter 1279: Correspondence

After placing a few informants in the Wu Family, Wufu couldn’t claim to know everything happening inside, but she wasn’t completely in the dark like a deaf-blind person either.

Purple Jade carefully glanced at Wufu, then at the note in her hand, feeling utterly disdainful towards Wu Lihong.

A man who thinks with his lower body, even Madam Wang sees things more clearly than he does, yet he believes he can manipulate things well enough?

The most disgusting thing is scheming on one hand while pulling a newcor into bed on the other, does he think he’s the only smart person in the world?

Wufu put down the note and said, "Go get the invitation cards and prepare so gifts; I need to visit the ng family."

"Miss is going to the ng family?" Purple Jade asked.

Wufu nodded.

Now that she had beco Old Mr. ng’s disciple, she should at least get to know so of his family. Since Eldest Lady ng had already brought it up, not going would seem arrogant.

"I will prepare imdiately." Purple Jade responded with a smile, then asked, "Miss, what about the Wu Family?"

"Pay it no mind."

"Yes."

Mo Lan entered holding a letter and said, "Miss, a letter from the Prince."

Wufu’s eyes lit up as she received it and said, "You all can go about your tasks."

After the maids had left, she began to read Ah Jiu’s letter.

The letter was quite thick, with about seven or eight pages. As she read through it carefully, she wondered if he had suddenly turned into a gossipmonger, as he had so much to say, seemingly endless.

Ah Jiu’s letter ntioned many things, including matters at the Ministry of Revenue, mundane day-to-day affairs, and quite a few girls eyeing him and trying to sche against him. He hoped Wufu would co to his rescue, and ended with a big "I miss you, want to see you, want to hold you."

"Aren’t you worried that the servants might laugh at you for being so clingy!" Wufu smiled coyly and squinted her eyes: "Dare to target my man, huh!"

She put down the letter, pondered for a mont, then picked up pen and paper to write a reply.

She also wanted to talk about her frustrations over here, although it was just minor complaints; she could handle these matters herself.

What Wufu wrote the most about was cultivating talents and business matters, with so additional updates. At the end, after a mont’s hesitation, she followed his example and wrote "I miss you too."

After sealing the letter with wax and having it delivered back to Ah Jiu, she stood by the window, gazing at the callia blooming brilliantly on the windowsill, reaching out to caress its delicate petals.

She was genuinely tired of the recent intrigues. She was never good at these fights and sches, yet here she was caught in them.

If Madam Zhou is willing, she would take her away from Nanyue to Beiyan, seeking a change. If she refuses and insists on staying with Wu Lihong, she will go to Beiyan on her own.

This current life is not what she desires!

The letter soon reached Ah Jiu, who read it several tis, his eyes resting intently on the words "I miss you too," his smile nearly stretching to his ears.

"Has the master gone silly?" Yi Er nudged Yuan Ye.

Yuan Ye replied, "Now you know who can make the master truly smile, right?"

Yi Er pouted.

"Soone, co in!" Ah Jiu summoned them inside, asking right away, "How are the preparations for the mission to Nanyue?"

"In response to Master, it’s almost ready." Yuan Ye replied.

Ah Jiu nodded and said, "Get ready, I’m going to another palace to greet the Royal Mother!"

In Wufu’s letter, he sensed her restlessness and irritation, and it pained him. He wished he could fly to her side imdiately. If all goes well, during this trip to Nanyue, he hopes to bring her back with him, but he must first report to the Royal Mother.
