After a short rest, they set off again, and Wufu identified the direction, pointing to the northwest.
However, Xiao Qi tugged her arm, pointing to the southwest.
“Xiao Qi, do you know the way? Have you been to Cloud Tower?” Wufu asked.
Xiao Qi nodded.
Everyone was overjoyed.
“Oh, you really are a treasure. Why are you only saying it now?” Wufu said happily as she hugged him.
Xiao Qi blinked and gestured urgently, indicating that he wasn’t saying it just now, but only realized since he had been to this place before.
“No hurry, no hurry.” Wufu quickly took his hand and said, “I know you didn’t an it, Xiao Qi.”
“Since he says it’s that way, let’s go take a look.” Ah Jiu looked at the sky and said.
Xiao Qi led the way in front, with a few people following him out of the creek valley. They walked for a Shichen, and everyone heard a rustling sound again.
“Who’s there, co out!” Chi Yi shouted fiercely, twirling the long sword in his hand and pointing it in a certain direction.
There was so rustling, and soone peeked out half a head from behind a big tree. Seeing Ah Jiu and his group, he seed a bit frightened, hesitating as he stepped out, asking apprehensively, “W-which sect are you from?”
His clothes were tattered, looking around twenty years old, and he held a soft sword in his hand. There were several scratches on his slightly dark face, presumably made by thorny bushes. At this mont, looking at the few of them, his eyes were filled with vigilance and defensiveness.
Such eyes were familiar; in this kind of forest, having eyes full of vigilance and defensiveness was nothing out of the ordinary.
“We don’t belong to any sect, how about you?”
The young man hesitated to step forward, saying, “I’m from Green Sword Villa, my na is Yang Yibin.”
Chi Yi whispered, “Master, people from Green Sword Villa are here too; there are ten of them in total.”
Ah Jiu nodded, scrutinizing the person, and said, “Let’s go.”
Xiao Qi looked at that person with so caution.
Wufu also blinked and said, “Let’s go, no delays!”
The group decided to ignore the sudden appearance of this person and continued ahead.
But Yang Yibin chased after them, saying, “Wait.”
“What’s the matter now?” Chi Yi blocked him, looking displeased.
Yang Yibin seed sowhat frightened, stepping back, yet still mustered the courage to say, “Are you heading to Cloud Tower? Can you take
with you? Our people, all of them are dead!” As he spoke, he seed to recall sothing, his face turning a bit pale, eyes turning red.
“Everyone is dead, and only you survived?” Chi San sized him up, chuckling, “You’ve got so skills.”
It was unclear whether this comnt was sarcastic or complintary.
Yang Yibin appeared to not catch the sarcasm hidden in Chi San’s words, crying out, “It was my master, he saved my life.” With that, he squatted on the ground and started crying.
Among those present, apart from Wufu, who was a fake man, and Xiao Qi, who was a child, the others were male, and seeing such a grown man squat on the ground crying, inevitably brought so awkwardness.
Wufu, however, watched with interest, squinting slightly, giving Ah Jiu a look.
Ah Jiu said, “Let’s go.”
“Alright.”
The group said to leave and did so, ignoring the person crying on the ground.
Yang Yibin seemingly didn’t expect them to be so straightforward, wiped his tears, and hurriedly followed.
Chi San stopped to glare at him.
“I- I’ll just follow, I’m afraid, please. I just want to get out!” Yang Yibin said fearfully.
Chi San wanted to say sothing when Wufu interjected, “San, don’t mind him, if he wants to follow, let him.”
“Alright!” Chi San shot him a warning glance.
Yang Yibin watched them walk ten ters ahead and quickly followed.
