Chapter 28: Impossible

"Heh! Killing you is easier than crushing an ant. It’s not worth the effort to poison you," Xiao Feng chuckled and sat down in front of Zhang Jie.

"What an arrogant attitude. If I point my gun at your head now, will you still speak like this?" At that mont, the captain of the soldiers raised his gun and aid it at Xiao Feng’s head.

"Do you realize that pointing a gun at soone is a very rude behavior? Congratulations, you’ve successfully provoked ," Xiao Feng replied, looking at the captain as if he were a dead man.

In the next mont, Xiao Feng provocatively beckoned, saying, "Co on, shoot and show

what you’ve got!"

"You..." The captain was at a loss for words.

"Afraid to pull the trigger, are you?" Xiao Feng sneered.

"I’m not afraid!" In the next mont, Xiao Feng suddenly pulled out his Barrett and, without hesitation, fired a shot at the captain.

Bang!

At such close range, the Barrett’s bullet pierced through the captain, and the imnse force sent him flying.

On the other side, Zhang Jie couldn’t even figure out where Xiao Feng had taken the Barrett from.

"Eat when it’s ti to eat and fight when it’s ti to fight. The King of Hell doesn’t call during als. Don’t you know you shouldn’t do other things while eating?" Xiao Feng placed the massive Barrett on the table with a loud thud.

The Barrett at close range gave off a suffocating feeling.

Click, click, click!

At this point, the other soldiers realized what had happened, and eight or nine of them imdiately rushed over, surrounding Xiao Feng.

Eight or nine guns were pointed at Xiao Feng’s head, with the muzzles just centiters away.

"Roar!"

At that mont, the normally obedient An An rushed towards Xiao Feng.

An An roared with anger, and her voice echoed through the restaurant, reaching far into the distance.

Roar, roar, roar!

In the next mont, a chorus of hundreds, even thousands, of zombie children responded with angry roars from the direction of the school on the other side of the street.

An An had managed to summon the zombie children.

At the sa ti, Anne was holding a teddy bear and growling aggressively at everyone.

The angry howls of the zombies mixed with the humans’ fury, making Anne look eerie in this mont.

Xiao Feng held Anne with his left hand and An An with his right.

Xiao Feng stared straight at Zhang Jie.

"Do you still want to finish this al?"

"Of course, we’ll eat!" Zhang Jie replied with a cold expression. He never expected Xiao Feng to act so boldly in such a situation.

Crackling~

At this mont, Zhang Jie’s walkie-talkie suddenly crackled, and a voice ca through, "Reporting to the chief, reporting to the chief, at the eleven o’clock direction, there are large numbers of zombies from the First Elentary School approaching this location. Please give instructions, please give instructions!"

Earlier, Xiao Feng had noticed two helicopters hovering on the rooftop of the opposite office building, ready for action.

At the sa ti as An An roared, a large group of zombie children rushed towards them.

Being situated on higher floors, they imdiately noticed the unusual commotion.

"Prepare for a ground attack!" Zhang Jie raised his head slightly and looked at An An in shock. He never imagined that An An could be a leader of zombies, capable of summoning an entire horde.

In Zhang Jie’s eyes, Anne and An An’s daughter were now like priceless treasures.

Greed flashed in his eyes, causing Xiao Feng to furrow his brow.

"As the boss said, let’s eat when it’s ti to eat and fight when it’s ti to fight. Don’t mix them up!" Zhang Jie laughed, breaking the tense atmosphere.

He then picked up his chopsticks, selected a piece of the boar knuckle, and put it into his mouth.

The boar knuckle was tender and flavorful, lting in his mouth. Zhang Jie’s eyes widened, and he smacked his lips in astonishnt. He then tapped his mouth a few tis and picked up another large piece of at to savor.

Zhang Jie realized that the wounds he had sustained during recent battles were healing slowly due to the al’s mysterious energy.

At the sa ti, the gentle energy infiltrated his muscles, making Zhang Jie feel full of strength.

"This boar knuckle is amazing!" Zhang Jie exclaid.

The soldiers standing nearby quickly retreated to the side.

Watching Zhang Jie enjoying his al, Xiao Feng showed a satisfied smile.

"How is it? I didn’t deceive you, did I?"

"Not at all, it’s excellent. The actual dish matches the description. I concede!" Zhang Jie took out a crystal core and placed it on the table.

"Now that we’ve eaten, it’s ti to leave. The city is not safe. Don’t think that just because you have a helicopter, you can co and go as you please!"

Xiao Feng took the crystal core with a hint of aning in his words.

"The boss is courageous, but the purpose of my visit today, I believe you should already know. Your daughter is quite special, so I think..."

"Don’t even think about it. Abandon this dangerous idea. No one can catch my daughter’s attention, you understand? Otherwise, your thoughts will bring you bad luck!" Xiao Feng said with a slight hint of threat.

"It seems that there’s nothing to discuss, is there?"

Zhang Jie concealed his previous expression, raised an eyebrow, and carried a hint of tension in his voice.

"I’ve already said you can’t even think about it, let alone discuss it!"

Xiao Feng was unyielding.

"You should know we’re from Shelter No. 1!"

Zhang Jie waved the flag of Shelter No. 1.

"Even if it’s soone from the Central Cloud Main Base, there’s nothing to discuss. Do you understand what I’m saying?"

Xiao Feng pressed his hands on the table, speaking deliberately.

"Sir, do you know that sotis recklessness is a foolish choice?"

Zhang Jie also leaned on the table, confronting Xiao Feng.

"Report to the chief, report to the chief!"

At that mont, Zhang Jie’s walkie-talkie rang once again.

"The zombie horde is approaching, and I also see about twenty bird-like creatures flying over!"

"Bird-like creatures?"

Zhang Jie frowned instantly.

At this mont, a group of winged intruders had already flown over the restaurant.

The leader among the winged intruders, a burly man, furrowed his brow as he observed the helicopter on top of the building. "From Shelter No. 1?"

"Boss, it looks like this restaurant has quite a reputation. Even people from Shelter No. 1 are coming to eat here!" A bespectacled, slender bird-person remarked with a chuckle.

"It seems that what Li Fei said wasn’t a lie. Let’s go down." The robust bird-person, who was clearly the leader, paid no attention to the people on the rooftop and dove down to reach the entrance of the restaurant. They folded their wings, and more than twenty of them entered the restaurant with an imposing air.

The leader, upon seeing the soldiers inside the restaurant, furrowed his brows, but then he casually walked in.

The soldiers swiftly reoriented their weapons, aiming at the winged intruders. The reputation of these bird-people was well known, and the people from Shelter No. 1 remained on high alert.

"Welco!" Xiao Feng greeted them with a hearty laugh and imdiately approached.

"Haha! The boss here certainly has a sense of humor. Even people from Shelter No. 1 are drawn in by the rumors!" The leader among the bird-people waved his hand, and more than twenty of them seated themselves.

Upon seeing this, Xiao Feng turned to Zhang Jie. "Gentlen, please finish your al and leave. Don’t disrupt my business."

Xiao Feng was eager to escort them out.

However, Zhang Jie’s expression darkened, and he said, "Today is my day off. I hope the boss can be accommodating. Otherwise, it might be hard for

to explain."

"Are you giving

a hard ti?"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Feng was incensed.

"An An, have your students attack the office building across the street. The people from Shelter No. 1, don’t let a single one of them leave today."

He then addressed Anne, "Anne, go outside and assist!"
