"The acid rain stopped?" Qin Lin looked at the sky, bewildered.

It wasn’t just the acid rain that had stopped; the rising water levels had also begun to slowly recede.

It felt as if the guillotine hanging overhead had suddenly been yanked up by so force, and Yang Zhen and the two others seed to hear their own heartbeats—the first to recover was Liang Yu.

He looked at the child, puzzled.

If sothing had just happened, it was that this seemingly docile young man had scread out a sentence in a tearing voice.

The sentence was filled with longing and sorrow.

To whom was he shouting? The master of this area? That Evil Fallen?

Liang Yu suddenly realized that this area might not be as simple as Yang Zhen had described. Constantine, as if he had read the script in advance... found several hiding spots and then led everyone on a dash to the cabin.

Throughout the journey, Constantine had a very clear purpose, but how did he co to know all this information?

"Are we saved?" Qin Lin looked towards Bai Wu.

Bai Wu remained silent, simply holding on to Protheus, and then looked towards the enormous tree trunk opposite.

Following his gaze, the three of them almost went weak at the knees; their hearts, having settled, hung in suspense once again.

A face slowly erged from the giant tree. The whole scene, it looked like a person-faced tree from a dark fairy tale.

Bai Wu’s smile, highly congruent with his mask, protected Protheus behind him and then extended his hand in greeting:

"Hello, Dandelion. It seems you have so words for before letting us leave."

"You can take Dandelion away, but why didn’t you kill them?"

The tree with a face was frightening, and its words were even more so. Yang Zhen and the others felt as if soone was rubbing them against the edge of death repeatedly.

Bai Wu really wanted to correct sothing—the child was no longer called Dandelion. But he held back and said earnestly:

"Dandelion will survive no matter what, so I was given eight choices. The three lives represent evil, hypocrisy, and ignorance. Cain wanted to see how I would choose among these three, but I couldn’t be bothered to choose."

In Cain’s ending, there were actually more than eight choices if one included Protheus.

But in Bai Wu’s view, there were only eight outcos. It seed that Prayle’s Eye was indeed a powerful weapon.

Information is everything.

"Why not? Don’t they deserve to die?"

"Whether they deserve to die or not is not for you or to decide."

"The truth has been given to you! What Cain said is right!" Dandelion was clearly agitated.

Bai Wu’s tone was like that used to pacify a child:

"Alright, alright, this is the truth. Even if this is the truth, even if I am in a very dark environnt, even if people die every day in the lower levels, I don’t like to complicate things."

The face within the tree seed puzzled.

Is killing not the simplest choice?

"You must be thinking, killing the evil and sparing the good, isn’t that the simplest choice?"

Dandelion suddenly felt like he was facing Cain, because Cain could often guess his thoughts too.

Bai Wu shook his head:

"A true lazy person would go with the judicial system. The legal frawork has been perfected over thousands of years. Why not put away our bold ideas and trust in a complete set of criminal laws?"

"Cain has already deceived you, so how do you know if the experiences of these people are not made up by him?"

The father conducts investigations without evidence; caught on the spot, then executed on the spot—a very apocalyptic, a very dark practice.

But the apocalypse signifies the beginning of the next prosperous era, and the dark social atmosphere will inevitably be dispersed one day.

If everyone chooses to determine the sins of others based on personal will, it might be very chivalrous, full of swift retribution, but it will inevitably lead to great chaos in order."

The lower levels have been like this for a long ti, leading to disorder. The mbers of the Investigation Corps don’t want to get involved, and the Garrison Corps only cares about the nobility.

With the advent of Wu Jiu, at least there was one more person looking to change it all.

Bai Wu wasn’t so noble, he just felt that the value of the living outweighed that of the dead.

Killing should be a last resort; otherwise, it’s a loss.

Dandelion observed Bai Wu for a while and finally spoke slowly:

"If you fail to keep your promise, I will definitely devour you."

Bai Wu nodded.

The matter of the promise probably involved taking good care of Protheus, showing him that not everyone in this world was evil.

"We’ll et again. You are special, even more than Cain imagines... He will definitely co looking for you."

"I thought you might give so information about him," Bai Wu feigned disappointnt.

"You stole my best friend."

"That’s not how you should put it. You can only say ’stole’ if it’s about a lover, ’shared’ if it’s about a friend. Besides, you only have a crown of branches on your head, not a pair of horns," Bai Wu teased offhandedly.

"Get out of here before I change my mind!"

Dandelion despised humans, but he had never seen Protheus like this before.

At the last pleading of Protheus, he finally agreed to let him leave.

Bai Wu didn’t expect to get any information about Cain from Dandelion.

There might be friction between Cain and Dandelion, but their cooperative relationship was not easily dissolvable for the ti being.

All he could do was nod helplessly. Having encountered two twisted disciples, Bai Wu beca sowhat interested in the others.

"I will find soone to save you guys. For now, he and I will go back first. You three just stand here, don’t move. Of course, you can’t move anyway."

Bai Wu activated the Return Roulette, and had Protheus activate another Return Roulette.

Right now, Yang Zhen and Liang Yu really wanted to rob Constantine and steal the roulette.

From the conversation between Constantine and the Evil Fallen, Yang Zhen guessed... Constantine must know about his group’s past.

There was no treasure in this place at all; it was all a setup.

Maybe the rich rchant didn’t die at all?

Constantine’s ’V’ shaped smirk now looked extrely malevolent in his eyes.

But he and Liang Yu couldn’t move at all.

Dandelion was using the giant tree vines to encase the three of them.

The acid on the vines wasn’t deadly, but it was enough to cause excruciating pain.

Dandelion had originally planned to let Bai Wu take Protheus and then devour the three of them.

However, not liking Protheus was one thing; on the other hand, he had begun to question Cain’s arrangents.

So a conclusion was reached where Bai Wu took all four of them away.

After the roulette was activated, Bai Wu saw the following ssage:

[Current Area Exploration: 74%. One Evil Fallen remains. The piece of Doomsday Puzzle in this area has been transferred. My rating: Nicely done. You’ve kidnapped the ’first love’ in the heart of the little rascal. You’d better take good care of him; he’s an SSR.]

Protheus? SSR?

Having Endless Nirvana and being immune to Evil Fallen Transformation... it seems, with so training, this kid could beco a tank...

This tower exterior exploration yielded items, an SSR with potential, a ring to increase favorability, and a backpack that for now couldn’t alleviate living conditions.

Bai Wu was quite satisfied.

It’s just that the ti was too short, his Innate Force still one step away from the ninth level. He realized... the exploration hadn’t even exceeded four hours.

This made Bai Wu consider taking things slow:

"The Doomsday Puzzle piece ntioned repeatedly must be important. It seems I cannot continue to use the Traction Disc. Cain must have moved the piece to the most difficult area.

The world outside the tower is random, and Cain only controls the layout of certain areas. If I continue to use the Traction Disc, I’ll only face disciples.

Sweet-talking won’t always work, and with such a vast area outside the tower, why should I stubbornly confront Cain?

The main thing is... I can’t go at Cain’s pace. Only by going to areas outside of Cain’s arrangents can I obtain information he won’t give ."

As Bai Wu contemplated future plans, Protheus said goodbye to Dandelion.

Both the good and the bad kids were sowhat abnormal, and because of that abnormality, they developed exceptionally pure feelings.

anwhile, the live broadcast at the opportunistic harbor abruptly ended.

The first episode of Constantine’s Adventures teased the audience’s appetite under Ye Weiming’s corporate-level understanding and magical speaking skills.

Bai Wu was unaware of how his Evil Fallen belly trip had been twisted into a story.

Liu Chengzi felt that her small coffers would never lack money again.

She laughed so hard she could barely sit still, and the more she looked at Ye Weiming, the more pleased she beca. The Sea Queen even entertained the idea of keeping him as part of her fishpond.

But the audience feedback was sowhat odd:

"That’s it? What about the sequel?"

"So short."

"That’s all?"

"Short and lacking."
