“Ancient ruins? How do ancient ruins fit into this?”

“It’s closely related to it. The ancient ruins in the eastern continent have been nearly depleted over the past few centuries. It’s incredibly challenging to discover new ones. However, the situation at the border is different. Due to its perilous nature, very few dare to venture there, leaving behind a relatively higher number of ancient ruins. Dragon God Temple sent us to the border for training because they want us to search for these ancient ruins. This way, we can enhance our own strength.”
Loong Chen had an epiphany after listening to Dugu Lengyue’s explanation.
No wonder Zhu Hao ntioned that the east and west border was brimming with both danger and opportunity. Were these ancient ruins the so-called opportunities?

Upon disembarking, a middle-aged man in black armor approached to welco them.
“Welco to the east and west border.”
The middle-aged man greeted them with a hearty laugh, radiating a cheerful deanor.

Dugu Lengyue, Murong Yuntian, Zhu Hao, and the others warmly greeted the middle-aged man upon spotting him.
Loong Chen, however, felt sowhat bewildered. These individuals appeared to be acquainted with one another.
It appeared that he was the sole outsider in the group.
“I had a feeling it would be you guys participating in this training. You had quite a reputation during my year.”
The middle-aged man acknowledged them with a nod but then turned his gaze to Loong Chen, looking sowhat surprised.
“Young man, I don’t recognize you. Are you also from our Dragon God Temple?”
“Mr. Lyi, his na is Loong Chen. He recently joined the Dragon God Temple and is the second-highest Sky Ranking participant in this year’s competition.”
Dugu Lengyue introduced him.
Among those present, she was the only one familiar with Loong Chen, so she took on the role of introducer.
“You’ve only recently joined the Dragon God Temple, and you’re already the second Sky Ranking. Impressive.”
Mr. Lyi smiled and nodded, addressing Loong Chen.
“Loong Chen, hello. I’m Lyi Jie, the Centurion of our Fla Dragon Legion. You’re temporarily under my command.”
The Fla Dragon Legion was an army established by the Dragon God Temple on the eastern and western borders.
Each major power had established a border army, which would unite in the face of enemy invasion but otherwise defended their respective territories.
“Mr. Lyi, please guide .”
Loong Chen followed suit, addressing Lyi Jie as Mr. Lyi.
“No problem. Let’s get down to business. These are for you.”
Lyi Jie tossed several black bracelets to everyone present.
“These bracelets are called Battle Credit Bracelets. As the na suggests, they’re used to record your credit points. Earning credit points is simple: just kill a zombie or mutated beast on the battlefield. The bracelet will automatically calculate your credit points based on the level of the zombies or mutated beasts you eliminate.”
“You can exchange these credit points for treasures in the Army Treasury. It’s a way to encourage you to bravely vanquish your enemies.”
