Even though they knew they were pawns and that Qin Jun was using them, the remaining experts of Donghua City had no choice but to continue fighting the Zombie King as Qin Jun intended.

Turning their backs would an being instantly killed by the Zombie King. Filled with despair and anger, they could only charge at the Zombie King again, vowing to take revenge soday.

In the forest, the sounds of explosions and screams gradually faded. The number of Donghua City experts dwindled.

Initially, there were over thirty, but now, less than seven remained. Nearly thirty Evolvers had died. This hunt for the Zombie King was a massacre.

The Zombie King's body was covered in wounds, with several fist-sized holes in its abdon.

Despite its formidable strength, the combined assault of dozens of Evolvers had weakened it significantly. Its aura grew weaker, but it beca increasingly terrifying.

The Zombie King grew more violent and agitated, its speed and strength becoming even more alarming. The air around it crackled with sonic booms as it moved.

“Hiss-roar!!!”

The Zombie King screeched, lunging at the remaining Donghua City experts. It opened its massive maw, spewing a fog-like mist that enveloped the area for hundreds of ters.

Each ti the Zombie King erged from the mist, another expert would fall. Screams echoed as the number of Donghua City experts dwindled, leaving only one.

The last remaining expert was a young man about twenty years old, his face filled with terror. The Zombie King's horror had almost driven him to ntal collapse. At that mont, Qin Jun made his move.

The space above the Zombie King suddenly collapsed, an invisible force crushing its head into its chest.

The Zombie King roared, pulling its head back out and turning to face Qin Jun, ignoring the nearby Donghua City expert. Though it lacked full intelligence, its instincts warned it of Qin Jun's danger.

Qin Jun, with an intrigued expression, studied the Zombie King. He could sense that it had completed its evolution, fulfilling his plan. However, he noticed sothing even more interesting.

He observed the fleshy conduit connecting the Zombie King to the ancient tree. At first glance, it seed the Zombie King was absorbing nutrients from the tree, but Qin Jun realized that the ancient tree was absorbing the flesh of the fallen experts and transferring it to the Zombie King.

Was the Zombie King absorbing nutrients from the ancient tree to evolve, or was the ancient tree creating the Zombie King? Qin Jun's eyes narrowed as he pondered this.

The Zombie King grew softly, sensing extre unease but not daring to attack Qin Jun.

Suddenly, a golden rune portal appeared behind Qin Jun, with countless golden runes rotating around it. He extended his hand, and a spectral hand ford above the Zombie King, smashing down on his head.

The Zombie King, its face contorted with rage, grew long, razor-sharp claws and slashed at the spectral hand, its black claws tearing through the air.

Crack—!!!

The Zombie King howled in pain as its claws broke. The more it hurt, the more ferocious it beca, launching frenzied attacks on Qin Jun. Poisonous liquid and shadowy mist spewed forth, but all in vain.

Before Qin Jun, the Zombie King, which had seed like a god of death to the Donghua City experts, was as fragile as a child, posing no threat.

The Qin family experts were shocked, fully realizing the vast difference between themselves and Qin Jun. They had felt this when Qin Jun crushed Blood Bear, but now it was even more apparent.

The last surviving Donghua City expert, Zhu Chong, stood dumbfounded. His heart was filled with anger and resentnt.

If you were this strong, why did you let us die? Couldn't you have killed the Zombie King yourself?

Zhu Chong's heart sawthed with hatred, especially since his cousin had died in the battle. In monts, Qin Jun had the Zombie King at death's door, utterly overpowered.

Qin Jun calmly walked forward and stomped on the Zombie King's head, crushing it. A Qin family expert stepped up and cut open the Zombie King, extracting a crystal-clear energy core brimming with imnse power.

Qin Jun smiled.

The Zombie King's core was finally in his possession. With it, he could beco a level 3 Evolver. But instead of excitent, Qin Jun felt a deeper intrigue.

He turned to the colossal, ancient tree before him. The tree stood majestically, weathered by ti, but Qin Jun heard a whisper.
