When Ren's permission was approved and he crossed over, the first thing he saw was Emilia and the others. Not many had co: only Exusiai, March 7th, Vivi, and Rory Takakura.
Upon seeing him, Emilia excitedly ca forward. "Ren-kun."
He smiled gently. "Emilia, long ti no see."
"Emilia-sama…" Ram ca to her side, but her gaze instantly fixed on Ren. "Master!" Like a fleeting pink breeze, she had already pounced on him.
Her cry triggered a chain reaction. Two other figures appeared: Rem, with her true-love blue, and the spirit Beatrice. Rem, like her sister, excitedly pounced into his embrace.
Beatrice's heart also wavered upon seeing the figure she had longed for. But she felt she had no standing to embrace him. She could only purse her lips, standing far away, watching enviously.
"Sigh, Ren always has such good connections. Are they his sisters?" March 7th exclaid. The others looked at her with strange expressions, surprised by her innocence.
Ren rubbed the sisters' heads. Sisters? Pretty much. My sweethearts.
Then his gaze t Betty's small, suppressed eyes. "Betty, you seem to have sothing to say to ," he asked, knowing full well.
Anyone with a discerning eye could see her gaze contained a thousand words. Her small hands tightly clutched her skirt. "Betty…" Her thoughts were a tangled ss. Her breathing beca rapid, her chest rising and falling. She was very afraid of being rejected. Such an experience would be more painful than 400 years of solitude.
"Betty, didn't you say you would be brave and not miss your chance?" Puck suddenly appeared on her shoulder, patting her twin tails.
"Brother…" Encouraged, she finally cald her mind. "Ren, are you willing to sign a contract with ?" she asked, then quickly added, "Even a master-servant contract is fine." Her humble appearance was truly pitiful.
Seeing this, Ram and Rem obediently released him. He stepped forward. "Betty, didn't you say that if I couldn't save you, I should kill you, and the prerequisite for saving you was to love you wholeheartedly?"
"You should know, I can't do that. Even so, are you still willing?"
"Betty knows, but Betty has already been saved by you," she raised her head, emotions overflowing. "You are the one I recognize." As she spoke, a golden magic circle blood from her chest—a soul contract.
March 7th lightly poked Exusiai's arm. "What's wrong?" she asked. March 7th whispered, "Do you know what's going on between them?"
Exusiai shook her head. "I don't know either."
Vivi also leaned over. "It sounds like Ren saved her."
Emilia's gaze was complex. She had heard Puck talk about Betty's story. For outsiders, it was simple salvation. But in reality, he had helped her escape centuries of loneliness and despair. For Betty, Ren was her sole savior.
When a girl has spoken to this extent, he had no reason to refuse. He leaned down and gently kissed her smooth forehead. Under the warm touch, her eyes sparkled. Tears lted into the golden contract, which blood with an even brighter light before shrinking and rging into her body.
At this mont, Betty experienced a happiness that could not be described. Finally... I did it!
"Contract complete. Betty, congratulations," Puck was genuinely happy for her.
"Wow!" Betty, who had just been imrsed in happiness, suddenly felt her body lighten as Ren easily picked her up. She shyly leaned against his shoulder.
He looked at Emilia. "You still have important matters. I'll take you there."
"Then we'll trouble you, Ren-kun," her eyes sparkled.
