"Sir, your coffee."
A soft, gentle voice pulled Ren out of his reading. He looked up and saw not the blue-purple-haired girl, but a long-haired woman with slightly brownish hair. Her figure was slender and graceful, her skin as fair as snow.
She's not a Ghoul, for now, was Ren's definition of her. A human working in a shop with four Ghouls. Or is this soone I haven't rembered?
"Thank you," Ren said. Just as he was about to take a sip, he seed to sense sothing, and a grin spread across his face.
So idiots have delivered themselves right to my doorstep.
At that mont, the surrounding custors almost simultaneously rose and left.
"Eh? Why is everyone leaving?" the long-haired woman asked, surprised.
Kasumigaoka Utaha also frowned, watching the scene unfold.
Not long after, a man radiating a violent aura appeared. He was dressed in a white suit and had short yellow hair and a fierce expression. In his hand, he carried a red package.
The long-haired woman moved to greet him but was unexpectedly grabbed by Ren's hand.
"Eh?"
Ren gently pulled her into a chair, then picked up his coffee. "Don't move. Watch the show."
"Watch the show?" The woman and Utaha both looked puzzled.
They soon understood what he ant.
The blonde man scanned the empty coffee shop, bored. Touka Kirishima walked over, and upon seeing him, she froze. "Yamori?"
The man, Yamori, grinned a chilling smile. "Touka Kirishima. Rabbit. Haha, so Anteiku really exists!"
At this mont, the other employees walked over. Yamori's expression grew even more excited. "Oh, Black Dog, Irimi Kaya! Crow, Renji Yomo! Excellent!"
Touka and the other two looked grave. They were all employees of Anteiku. Just a short while ago, they had all undergone a transformation into Ghouls, gaining mories like an alternate self.
[P.S.: The mories are from before contact with Kaneki and do not involve him.]
Just as their new Ghoul lives had begun, they encountered the monster from their mories: a man identical to the S-rank Ghoul, Yamori. And he had revealed their identities, which ant he was also a transford Ghoul.
"What are you here for?" Renji Yomo stepped forward, his brows tightly knit. This guy was a pervert in his mories, and in reality, he was a psychological pervert who had been unleashed by becoming a Ghoul.
He grinned wildly and threw the package in his hand onto the floor. The untied package opened.
"What?!" Touka and the others looked in horror.
It was a bloody, wide-eyed human head.
"He's killed soone!" the woman sitting beside Ren trembled, shakily pulling out her phone. Ren pressed her hand down.
"They're not sothing you can deal with by calling the police."
Before she could react, Yamori laughed loudly. "Hahaha, this person's na is Koma Enji. When I found him, he wasn't a Ghoul. I thought Anteiku didn't exist, but I actually found it."
The pupils of the three Ghouls constricted. Koma Enji was indeed a mber of Anteiku in their mories, the SS-rank Ghoul, Devil Ape.
Imdiately, grotesque, black-and-red wings erged from behind the three of them. All three had an Ukaku-type Kagune. Two were SS-rank, and Touka was S-rank.
Yamori was rely S-rank, yet he showed no panic. He adjusted his suit. "Are you sure you want to do this? It will bring trouble to this coffee shop…"
"…"
The three of them hesitated. A fight would be impossible to hide. But letting him leave after such a provocation was unthinkable.
Yamori sneered. He had co here to provoke them. He licked his lips, intoxicated by the mory of torture and cannibalism.
Turning around, Yamori impatiently left Anteiku. Touka and the other two could only grit their teeth, watching him go.
"Leave? You're thinking too much," Ren's sudden words ca as he calmly sat sipping his coffee.
At this mont, everyone once again noticed the presence of the three of them.
"!!!"
Touka and the others were startled. They had completely failed to notice them, especially their colleague, Miki, whom they had forgotten. Their identities were completely exposed. Their Kagune were still out.
Miki was already scared stiff. First a human head, then her colleagues grew monstrous wings. She felt dizzy and faint.
Her body instinctively recoiled, pressing against Ren for a slight sense of security.
Kasumigaoka Utaha was also dumbfounded. Her mouth was so wide open it could almost fit Ren's... weapon. There were Ghouls right beside ? And this was the coffee shop she and her editor frequently visited.
Ren's lips curled slightly. "Utaha, why do you think coffee made by Ghouls tastes so good?"
"Ah?!" She looked at her coffee, and a wave of nausea washed over her.
Ren prompted, "Just kidding. There's no human flesh in it. It's just because the ingredients are good."
"Ugh…" Kasumigaoka, who was only feeling a bit nauseous, imdiately started retching after Ren openly ntioned the word "human flesh."
