"Is this young lady from the Saint Kray Academy?"

Nikola appraised Nyla briefly and asked Lanci thoughtfully.

At this mont, the Red Falcon Nikola, dressed in an Empire officer’s long coat, the secretary of the principal of Saint Kray Monastery, and Lanci, the professor soon to take office, all stood at the edge of Ducal Oseta Square, just outside Brilda’s first station.

Originally, it was supposed to be Nikola who escorted Professor Landry to Saint Kray Monastery.

They could have continued chatting on the way, but now soone from Saint Kray Monastery had appeared.

"Yes, I have been entrusted by the principal to co and welco our school’s Professor Landry. If sir has nothing else, I shall take Professor Landry away now, so as not to delay your official duties."

Nyla, who had been speaking with Lanci and had not looked at Nikola from the beginning, turned her head and replied respectfully to the Empire officer.

Lanci, who had been preparing to deal with Nikola politely, stopped speaking; he had not expected Nyla to be so assertive.

Clearly, she had already realized that their school’s professor had been targeted by this spy chief, and allowing the spy chief to continue ddling was certainly not good.

"Hold on, I still have so matters to discuss with Professor Landry. No matter who I hand him over to, I need to ensure his safety."

Nikola raised his hand to stop them and, after appraising Nyla, seed to have confird that she indeed was from Saint Kray Monastery.

"Or is it that your school does not recognize the friendship between and Professor Landry?"

He stared at Nyla and asked.

"The professor naturally should not have too many entanglents with spies; it’s best not to be coveted by a hunting dog, just like a dove."

Nyla maintained the elegant posture of a secretary, her hands lightly touching her abdon, but her words no longer hid her stance.

"Miss Nyla, you need to understand that now is a ti of war for the Cerryti Empire. As the head of the dostic strategy departnt, I have the right to investigate or protect any Empire person. Escorting Professor Landry to Saint Kray Monastery is my next task. You interfering and now being sarcastic with ?"

Nikola’s tone remained calm, but his voice had taken on a heavier note.

"Are you not the one taking offense?"

Nyla, the secretary, watched Red Falcon Nikola with a smile that did not reach her eyes.

She seed to think that this spy leader was sowhat clueless.

"..."

Just when they were about to exchange unpleasant words, Lanci looked at them with a worried expression.

He was very concerned that the two would have an unpleasant argunt over him.

Talia felt that whatever Lanci said at that mont would be wrong; the best thing was to stay silent and let the two sort it out.

After all, one of them definitely had to escort Lanci to Saint Kray Monastery.

The secretary, Nyla, clearly disliked the people from the Empire’s Special Operations Departnt and had not intended to give the spy chief much face to begin with.

Speaking up for either side would offend the other.

And if he wanted to get by in the Empire from now on, Lanci could not afford to offend either side.

"How about this, why don’t we all go to the school together?"

Lanci suddenly spoke up.

His friendly gaze acted as if he had not noticed the discord between the two, suggesting they could all be one big happy family.

Both looked at him questioningly, wondering if he was joking.

"If we do it this way, Miss Nyla’s duty to bring back to school would be fulfilled, and Mr. Nikola can continue to ask about my work while escorting ; both of you could also ensure my safety together. Doesn’t this satisfy everyone’s demands?"

Lanci nodded confidently and smiled as he replied.

"..."

Secretary Nyla and Red Falcon Nikola fell silent.

Even Talia was hushed.

Three people in one car, making a tightfitting journey; do you not think that these two have enough conflict to deal with, what torture for a man and a woman.

"Both of you have taken great care of . I like it very much and thank you for your help. If possible, I would like to continue our conversation."

Lanci continued, his steps seemingly already inviting both to walk towards the vehicle parked in the distance that would take them to Saint Kray Monastery.

His unconcerned deanor caught Nikola off guard for a rare mont.

Nyla stared at Lanci, seemingly analyzing the professor’s ntal state.

"Let’s call it a day then. Since Saint Kray Monastery has already sent soone to pick up Professor Landry, I shall entrust Professor Landry to you. I also need to get busy investigating matters concerning the Allied Forces."

Red Falcon Nikola looked at Lanci’s sincere and steadfast eyes, frowned slightly, and reluctantly conceded for the ti being.

But he seed sowhat unwilling to let Lanci leave just like that.

He thought for a mont; with a person from Saint Kray Monastery present, asking Professor Landry questions seed like an excellent opportunity, one that could validate one of his speculations.

"Before you leave, I have a matter of curiosity. May I ask Professor Landry?"

Red Falcon Nikola asked politely.

Secretary Nyla did not make a sound, waiting like a statue.

The aning was clear: she didn’t mind.

"Head Nikola, please ask. I will answer any questions to the best of my knowledge."

Lanci nodded comfortably.

"As an expert in Magical Engineering, you seem to be very knowledgeable about the Demon Race’s magical engineering. I see that Demon Magic Text and the magic engineering of the Demon Race are among your specialties. Could you teach the aning of the Demon Race Script that was inscribed on the do of Brilda’s first station just now?"

Red Falcon Nikola asked with genuine interest.

"..."

Lanci turned to glance at Brilda’s first station and fell into a brief silence.
