He gazed at the Berserk Nigel, his tone gentle as if calling out to an obedient servant.

"Go, rip apart that Demon Race who wants to protect humans, and let see the love you have for your sister."

The Berserk Nigel did not speak, but the red glint in its eyes grew more intense.

"Kill... kill..."

It locked its gaze on Aitio not far away, its body gradually crouching down, adopting the standard posture of a predator about to strike.

"No, Nigel, co to your senses, you are stronger than anyone! You cannot fall at this ti!"

Aitio couldn’t believe that the ferocious Demon Race before her was the sa ally who had fought by her side just seconds ago, and she shouted at him.

Since the Berserk Nigel could be controlled by Perlman, it indicated that Nigel’s berserk state was different from the typical Curse Demon Clan, and perhaps was a special form of berserkness developed from the fragnts of Parlony’s Grudge Record!

"No... stop ..."

The Berserk Nigel appeared to suffer a severe brain pain, clutching its head and struggling for a mont. After two seconds, it let out a mournful roar and leapt towards Aitio like a cannonball, its sharp claws aid straight at her throat.

Aitio, about to face two on one, felt an unprecedented despair.

She had given her all, yet still, she could not shake Perlman in the slightest.

Aitio had felt with Nigel’s help, she could resist Perlman sowhat; now, even dealing with the Berserk Nigel alone would require considerable effort.

With Nigel becoming her great enemy, the situation had beco irretrievable.

In this mont of despair, all that Aitio could think to do was pray.

She prayed to the gods and even to the ancestors of the Demon Race, for soone to stop this overwhelmingly powerful enemy!

Streaks of icy-blue lightning erupted from all around her, forming a cage that bound the Berserk Nigel.

However, Perlman did not stand idly by.

He had intended to kill Aitio sooner rather than later.

If the key to Duke Tiffany’s city defense wasn’t on Nigel, then it must have been entrusted by him to soone else.

Probably, Perlman could guess who it might be.

It had to be Rocky McCarthy, whom Nigel had brought to the banquet.

It had been ntioned a while ago that when Beelzebub Poson was spreading curses in the Demon World in order to fish for The Senate, Rocky McCarthy was cited as the one capable of lifting the curse, or to put it another way, the trap set by Beelzebub in the Demon World’s District 7 that day was likely to locate the mysterious entity helping Nigel lift the curse. However, they were not certain they could kill both and thus let them leave the Demon World.

Nigel must have had considerable trust in Rocky to have brought him along and to have entrusted the key to him.

Perlman, manipulating invisible psychic forces, took steps that lethally restricted Aitio’s movents.

Under this dual pressure, Aitio felt she could suffer a fatal blow at any mont and be defeated.

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through her brain, her complexion grew paler, and her breathing beca rapid and laborious.

Before Aitio could defend against Perlman’s ntal attack, the thunder cage she had set up to restrain the Berserk Nigel was dispersed by Perlman’s psychic power, and she barely blocked a swipe from Nigel’s claws.

"It’s over."

Perlman said softly.

Raising his wand, the invisible psychic force he pointed towards was like a heavy sword about to pierce Aitio’s body completely.

The people on the South Bank of Huadu, praying for dawn and the suffering citizens, listened to the terrible wailing that perated the air and watched the battle screen footage shot from a distance by the Demon Race reporters; the rapidly deteriorating scene made them shudder even more.

If Aitio were to fall, all was lost!

They could not imagine what kind of slaughter and disaster it would be like if Perlman, like a Demon God, ca to the South Bank.

In the blurry, shaking footage, even as they desperately zood and closed in, Aitio still seed like a re dot amidst the storm.

Just as Aitio felt powerless to withstand Perlman’s terrifying magic power,

Suddenly an invisible arrow descended from the sky.

It dispersed the rain like a stream of verdant gas, lightly landing beside Aitio.

Emanating from the arrow was a dazzling glow of the Divine Light of the God Era, like the first glimr of dawn, illuminating the gloomy battlefield!

A surging gale burst from the point where the arrow landed, like an awakened beast, roaring as it swept across the entire battlefield.

This was no ordinary airstream; it was a divine wind carrying the Divine Power from Ancient Tis!

Wherever it passed, the air beca fresh and full of life.

And most astonishingly, the glow was like the rising sun at dawn, making the dark storm as clear as daylight.

It was pure and brilliant, holy and flawless, compelling any ordinary creature witnessing this glow to feel an involuntary impulse to worship.

With the arrow’s descent, wind and light intertwined to form an impenetrable barrier, securely protecting Aitio within it.

The barrier was like crystal, graceful and ethereal, shimring with waves of light.

What was miraculous was that when the storm hit this barrier, not a single drop could touch Aitio.

Even Perlman’s killing blow seed to hit an invisible high wall, scattering the surrounding rain in all directions, creating ripples across the barrier’s surface, forever unable to penetrate this defense.

In front of this barrier of wind and light, all forces seed insignificant, incapable of even stirring a ripple; the barrier stood firm and unshakable.

Such defense, could only remind Perlman and Aitio of "absolute immunity."

Perlman’s face darkened in an instant.

Even without looking towards the direction of the swift arrow, as an experienced Eighth-order Strongman, he knew what the Divine Light of the God Era signified and who the bearer was.
