This ti, the assistant examiner remained silent for longer than any other previous occasion.

"Regarding willpower, I’d like to hear your insights,"

"It’s neither purely psychology nor on the level of life energy..."

Tata spoke slowly, her self-assured deanor always focused on Lanci across from her.

Lanci, too, listened attentively, nodding from ti to ti.

At this mont, the audience outside the examination room was sowhat bewildered.

Everyone thought that this candidate nad Tata was about to blast the examiner with a barrage of answers.

Yet she did not.

She chose to forgo many opportunities to score points, instead patiently cooperating with the examiner, making their conversation exceptionally relaxed.

To so extent, the audience could no longer distinguish whether this was an examination at all.

It felt like a natural discussion about Magical Engineering, with even the assistant examiner showing a rare smile at the corners of his mouth, seemingly imrsed in the conversation with her.

"They seem to have a good understanding between the two of them,"

"In fact, if we talk about scoring efficiency, they should be totally out of sync."

"What she’s doing doesn’t make sense, coddling the examiner’s feelings is useless, and she’s only losing points needlessly."

"Unless she’s simply very kind-hearted and doesn’t want to make the assistant examiner uncomfortable."

"But you have to admit her strength is impressive; even like this, her score should be quite high."

The audience couldn’t help but marvel at the discussion that appeared calm yet was warm and intense.

After a long while,

Talia finally completed the examination and erged from the special Void Gate corridor for candidates.

"Tata ow!"

A Little Black Cat ran over from the ground.

"I thought you would give him a hard ti,"

Cat Boss said.

After all, no one was better at giving Lanci a hard ti than her; ever since Lanci beca a Cardmaker, he had been trained by Tata.

"..."

Talia picked it up without saying a word.

"Where’s Student Lanci? Didn’t he even co to accompany you today?"

Just as Talia walked into the resting area, she saw Carlen sitting not far away in the spectator seats.

She waved at Talia in a genuinely friendly manner, like greeting a friend.

"..."

Talia did not want to deal with this woman; she glanced at her and continued walking forward.

"It seems you don’t want to win, Miss Tata,"

Carlen said, spreading her hands.

Initially, she was sowhat surprised by Tata’s abilities.

But seeing her thod of taking the exam, Carlen felt relieved.

In this first round alone, she had scored much higher than Tata.

"Talk about winning over in the second and third rounds,"

Talia turned back and said to Carlen.

"Don’t forget... the sa examiner will be there for the third round, right? He’s really kind of cute, I can’t help but tease him a bit more, hee hee."

Carlen seed to enjoy the feeling of tornting the examiner.

The fact that she could even tread on a Platinum Level examiner highlighted that she truly was the genius who deserved to be Platinum Level.

"You think you have the right to tease him?"

A hint of coldness passed through Talia’s golden eyes.

Just for Carlen’s remark, she decided she would pick out a n’s swimsuit for Carlen in the future.

"What, is this examiner yours? You’re protecting him now?"

Carlen squinted her eyes, asking with a smile brimming with amusent.

"I’m looking forward to your expression after you’ve understood everything,"

Talia said, no longer engaging with Carlen and walking ahead.

...

Until the venue gradually dimd as the day’s first round of examinations successfully concluded.

Only the staff remained, coordinating the final tasks.

In the Artificial Shadow World’s seminar room,

"Not too bad,"

Chief Examiner Bruden Yizainha was tallying the scores.

The candidates this year all had quite high scores.

But Chief Examiner Bruden had felt sothing odd from the outset of the examination.

After an actual assessnt, he found that the assistant examiner’s qualifications were indeed too low.

Up to now, the highest score among the candidates was 82, and the lowest was 35.

But how co you, the assistant examiner, only have 31?

Bruden had done all he could to increase Lanci’s score; he truly wanted to bump it up a bit more but could not in good conscience forge an even higher score.

Eventually, having no other choice, Chief Examiner Bruden exercised his authority and raised the passing mark to 41.

Even so, this passing mark set a new low, sure to trigger a review from the headquarters of the Southern Continent Card Maker Association in the western hub region, likely leading to an external examiner’s involvent in the third round to observe the entire examination process.

Bruden’s face was a mix of emotions as he glanced at Lanci, who was still sitting at the side.

Although he’d heard that this Platinum Level Card Maker was nothing like Migaya before.

Migaya was a Hexagonal Warrior, and this fellow was a Compass Warrior.

It was said that he specialized in artistry.

So, in the final examination, according to association records, Lanci’s artistry was just a bit superior to Countess Rosalinda’s; hence, he was the chief and Rosalinda the assistant.

But with Magic Engineering Principles concluding, he looked too much like a counterfeit Platinum Level Card Maker!

His level in Magical Engineering might even be considered poor among Gold-level Card Makers.

In general, his abilities were quite exceptional among Platinum Level Card Makers, but if he remained like this as the chief in the third round and anyone ca along to kick him, it really would set a rhythm.

Bruden recalled that there was a Platinum Level Card Maker at the headquarters who harbored much jealousy toward Migaya, and if he were to review Lanci, considering Lanci and Migaya were both from Hutton Kingdom and hailed as genius newcors, the situation might turn out quite badly.

"..."

Bruden pinched the bridge of his nose.

Anyway, everything was according to the Southern Continent Card Maker Association’s regulations, nothing more to be said.

In any case, he was done for the day; he did not care about the public opinion.
