The wealthy Bathist family has long been acquainted with the Hammond family, occasionally collaborating but more often than not at odds.
Last week, it was Christina who caused him to lose an important commission contest, and it was due to Enon’s personal defeat that Viscount Charles Hammond, seeing these two people together, gritted his teeth with hatred.
"It really infuriates . If he blabbers a few more words, I’ll have Enon take action, and worst cos to worst, we’ll both end up sitting in jail for a few days."
Christina, thinking back on it, still felt a surge of anger and stamped her foot.
On the other hand, Enon seed quite calm.
"The few words I hurled at him were pretty mild!"
Sotis, even Christina had a temper to reckon with. She retorted on the spot on Enon’s behalf, giving no face to Viscount Hammond, an elder of the nobility.
Later, after returning ho, Christina noticed a change in Enon, and upon closer inspection, saw that she had put on a head ornant.
"Miss, resorting to violence to solve problems is certainly not acceptable. Please never think about sitting a few days in jail again."
Lanci looked at her earnestly, advising.
"Oh, oh."
Christina never expected to be lectured by a butler like this.
However, no matter how one looked at it, Rocky the butler surprisingly had a character that highly valued law and order.
"In such situations, you can ask to negotiate with Viscount Hammond on your behalf. We can demand compensation, emotional distress, damage to reputation, public apologies, and so on. If all else fails, we can use so legal thods to investigate and report his company’s business one by one. Financial firms with high leverage like theirs are very prone to collapse, and if they encounter problems, we can even consider a goodwill acquisition of their company."
Lanci shared with Christina his ideas of a more reasonable approach.
If faced with such situations in the future, it might provide so enlightennt to Christina, teaching her to resolve issues more harmoniously.
"God damn ’goodwill acquisition,’ don’t make it sound so innocent and above board."
Christina knew a bit about the operations of their family business; malicious takeovers were illegal, and Poseen Kingdom’s laws clearly stipulated that malicious takeovers weren’t considered lawful conduct.
Sure enough, she shouldn’t have listened to Rocky the butler.
"Enon now knows how to clean the rooms and will soon master the maid’s etiquette. She also rembers all the notes you taught her."
Christina decided to change the topic and boast to Rocky proudly.
"..."
Enon stood quietly behind Christina, neither admitting nor denying, as if she would not take any action without instructions.
"Look, she’s totally a lady now."
Lanci looked at Enon and evaluated her with a smile.
Enon shifted her gaze away sowhat displeased.
"Alright, Enon, if you have anything you want to ask Rocky the butler, go ahead."
Christina patted Enon’s shoulder lightly and motioned her to sit on the sofa while speaking to her.
"How can I get my mory back?"
After taking a seat, Enon looked at Rocky who also sat down across from her and asked.
"Why do you suddenly ask this question today?"
Lanci closed his book halfway, unhurriedly, and looked at her.
"..."
Enon didn’t respond to him.
"Of course, the absence of mory is frightening. Enon doesn’t want to be a person with no past."
Christina sat beside her and said to Lanci.
"I see."
Lanci reopened his book and murmured.
Monster-like physical conditioning allowed Enon to quickly remove the bandages.
But her internal injuries had not yet healed.
And although she seed to have powerful Magic Power, she completely lacked fighting skills, getting knocked down by Tata, inhabited by Lanci, in a few moves during a test in the Earl’s family courtyard.
Not only were her injuries unhealed, but she had also forgotten how to use her strength.
So, Christina who was previously considering letting Enon enter contests to earn so money and share the winnings with her, now decided it was better for Enon to do so ordinary work in the mansion.
"..."
Christina didn’t know what the butler was thinking at this mont, nor if he agreed or disagreed with her earlier statent.
"To help you regain your mory, the doctor said it would require either a strong ntal stimulus or seeing so familiar things and scenes that might trigger the revival of the injured area in your brain."
Lanci had seen Enon’s dical reports and had spoken with the treating doctor.
"So, to get my mory back, I have to suffer a bit?"
Enon frowned once more.
She couldn’t feel pain; even if she was mistreated, she wouldn’t find it hard to endure, she just didn’t want to die, that’s all.
"Theoretically, that’s the case, so your situation is complex. It might be very difficult to retrieve your mory."
Lanci nodded and answered.
"Enon, don’t worry, I will take you to see the best doctors."
The words of Christina fell lightly, like a web woven from concern, hanging in the surrounding air.
Lanci knew that Christina liked her very much because she was the first servant Christina had personally hired.
And Enon looked pretty in whatever she wore. She had been brought to change outfits in Christina’s room for a long ti when she first ca ho, and Christina even bought her several new outfits.
Upon hearing that it wouldn’t deduct from her salary, Enon seed to weigh the pros and cons and hesitantly accepted it.
"If I can’t rember, then so be it."
Enon said expressionlessly.
