When Lanci adjusted the search catalogue on the reception desk, the pitch-black screen began to change, revealing a detailed list.

The rolling screen was full of various precious items.

Each line represented a treasure or magic tool, described in pink font, with several small icons at the end of the item, representing its characteristic information.

Once Lanci adjusted the order from high to low.

This ti, a high-ranking card finally appeared at the top.

Lanci gently touched that line, and a more detailed description and three-dinsional image appeared in the center of the screen—

[Roaring of the Storm Dragon]

[Category: Magic Card]

[Grade: Pink Divine]

[Rank: 7]

[Effect: Repels and tosses all enemies within range with oneself as the center, and clears and resists all attacks up to the eighth-order within range in 1 second, cooldown ti 135 seconds.]

[Note: Martial virtue is the most important, do not ambush others unprepared.]

"This spell isn’t bad."

Zestira lood a little closer from the side, her gaze quickly attracted by the specific appraisal effect of this card.

Its spell radius is between twenty to thirty ters, doesn’t carry magic damage, may cause indirect physical damage, and is more likely to be a defensive skill used to clear toxins, traps, and flying tools.

But after she finished speaking, she regretted it.

Most of the pink-divine-level magic cards, as long as they’re a bit normal, she thinks they’re great.

Perhaps this card is much stronger than those fourth and fifth-order cards from a chanism and nurical perspective that she saw before.

But precisely because it’s a seventh-order, horizontally comparing it with other seventh-orders, it may not be a strong spell card.

Most importantly, apart from whether it’s suitable or not, for her teacher to use this card, even if he were to continuously challenge the Shadow World, it would take several years.

For a brief mont, the eting room beca quiet.

They ticulously browsed the catalogue, while the magical puppet in the reception area quietly waited.

"It’s this one."

This ti, Lanci hardly hesitated. After viewing the effects of this card, he directly confird his selection on the touch screen and said to Miss Magic Puppet.

"Huh?"

Zestira was baffled.

He didn’t even continue to look at the rest of the sixth-order wind-attribute magic.

"No question, please wait, I’ll handle the final process."

Upon receiving Lanci’s choice, a glimr flickered in the magic puppet’s blue eyes. She gave a chanical smile and began to prepare their exchange process.

Her fingers lightly traced over the magic array on the reception table, then, a small, circular surface in the center of the table started to recess and activate.

Magic light, luxurious enough to distort the transparent air started to appeared and revolved around the table like a vortex, gradually shaping the contours as if it was unsealing and transporting it from the internal treasury through the barrier.

Before long, a magic card the size of half a palm levitated out from the table.

A pink halo radiated around the card, which depicted an ancient storm dragon totem in the sky on its front. Magic runes stars interconnected with each other like tiny dots, forming a bright image, anwhile, the complex magic patterns embedded along the card’s edge made it even more dazzling under the dim light.

The magic puppet stretched out her hand, gently picking up the magic card from the table. Imdiately, a gust of wind seed to sweep through the entire eting room, as though it was enveloped by the might of dragon-language magic.

The Magic Puppet reached out to Lanci, her voice filled with a sense of mystery, "Please take good care of it."

"Thank you."

Lanci took the card. The mont his fingers touched the translucent card, he could feel the terrible magic energy compressed within.

He put it away, thereby concluding this visit.

"Goodbye, sir, miss."

In the farewell voice of the puppet, the door of the conference room was reopened. Lanci and Zestira left the room, entering the vast central path of the Endless Library.

"Teacher, why did you choose this card?"

Walking on a soft crimson carpet, Zestira asked with confusion. The road seed to stretch far more in the silent library.

"Because it’s Wind-attribute."

Lanci answered.

This obviously made Zestira even more confused.

Lanci found it hard to explain the decisive factor behind his choice of card.

In fact, it was quite subjective and influenced by his admiration. He had always wanted so shockingly impressive high-level Wind Magic.

With each step Zestira and Lanci made, magic lanterns by the sides of the road lit up once more, illuminating the path before them and adding a touch of warmth to the eerie library.

After a brief silence.

"Zestira, what do you think are the advantages of this card?"

Lanci asked.

There’s sothing to be appreciated in most magics as long as they were properly used.

Like those Error Healing type of Magic Cards. Though seemingly useless, when utilized with wisdom, they could be advantageous.

Zestira pondered seriously; she assud her teacher was testing her.

The two continued their quiet stroll down the library path. Every ti they crossed a section, magical phenona were randomly triggered. Occasionally, Magic Equipnt appeared from corners, autonomously projecting scenes from history or easter eggs. Sotis, as they passed a piano, it would start playing a soothing tune on its own.

Suddenly, Zestira, seemingly understanding sothing, looked up.

"This card also has the effect of safely dismantling buildings."

Zestira looked at Lanci and said.

"..."

Seeing her teacher remain silent, Zestira continued,

"In essence, this card is a defensive spell. Sotis, you don’t want to destroy buildings out of your own wish but because you’re unwillingly forced to do so in order to protect your own life. The damage caused, in such a case, should not be your primary responsibility."

However.

Given the current real estate prices in Herram, if soone has a decades-long mortgage and his house gets swept up in a battle, bringing it down,

No matter who wins or loses, the next one to join the battlefield would probably be him. There’d be no need to wait for a court decision.

The more Zestira thought about it, the more she felt sorry for Grand Priest Caius, who had been reported by her teacher. He had lost his job and his house, and still had debts to pay. Rumors had it that Caius had attempted suicide by jumping off a building, but failed.

Soone who could drive a cultist to the point of jumping off a building, was unheard of even to Zestira.

"Have you been secretly reading law books?"

After listening, Lanci asked in slight surprise. He knew that Zestira didn’t like to study, so he never suggested it. He tended to prioritize "happy education" when teaching his students; only those who violated rules were given strict handling.

"I only recently started reading."

Zestira nodded. Her voice was calm, filled with a deep respect from her heart,

"I now feel that learning from you, Teacher, is much more realistic than chasing after my fantasy of Talia."

"Why has Talia beco a fantasy now?"

"If she were as great as I had imagined since childhood, she would have succeeded in retaking her kingdom already. Upon reflection, all of this was just my wishful thinking. Instead of hoping that Talia can retake the kingdom, it’s more likely that she will do so by marrying a good man."

"Heh."

Lanci, who hadn’t laughed before, was amused by Zestira’s words.

The old woman still dreams of catching a rich suitor. While others rely on their looks, she might have to bring a kitchen knife to the mix.
