The scenery outside the car window kept changing.
They were all very familiar with winter in Ichrite inside the car.
Even during the coldest two to three weeks, the temperature wasn't too low. With its mild winters and cool sumrs, and just the right amount of humidity, this is why Ichrite is considered one of the most livable cities on the South Continent.
To Isatia, Talia, and other mbers of the Great Demon Clan, this orderly and harmonious South Continent city was nothing short of fascinating when they first arrived.
From the ancient Ichrite Central Station and the St. Buriang Cathedral, a base of the Church of the Goddess of Destiny, to the modern magical glass curtain wall buildings, including the Cardmaker's Association at Hutton Pedestrian Squares and the Erica Tower where scholars gather, the diverse styles of architecture add considerable color to the cityscape of Ichrite.
"Sister, have you been to the top floor of Erica Tower? They have a workshop there where you can custom-make your own magical pastries."
"But don't you need a high-level mber card for the Magic Tower to enter there?"
"We have it at ho. Once I get it, we can go together."
Isatia was busy planning places for her and Talia to visit along the way.
Though Isatia, having arrived earlier in Ichrite, should seem more like a local than Talia, it had been over ten years since Isatia was last in Ichrite, while Talia had been living there mostly for the past two years. The sisters, when together, both had places they were unfamiliar with, and they explored together.
"I haven't spent a di since I ca to Ichrite. The human kingdom is truly a wonderful place."
Isatia took out their family's South Continent Federation credit card, indicating that her sister wouldn't need to worry about expenses following her.
"Uh..."
Talia wanted to say sothing but realized she was in no position to criticize Isatia.
The only place where she was slightly better than Isatia was that she had earned so money through work, whereas Isatia simply lazed around depending on the Duke.
Yet, ultimately, all her earnings ca from Lanci. If Lanci hadn't given her a chance, she would've still been an undocunted person unable to find a job.
At this point, Talia noticed Migaya had turned around in the front seat, exchanging glances with Lanci.
In their eyes was a mutual understanding, and even a bit of camaraderie. Were it not for the presence of others, they might have already started sharing tips on gold-digging.
"Are you trying to say... the downfall of the Demon Race had its reasons?"
Though Talia couldn't quite read Migaya's mind, she could definitely read Lanci's cunning micro-expressions.
Lanci seed to have finally found a companion on the sa wavelength for daily missions.
"No, no."
Migaya quickly waved her hand politely, no longer exchanging glances with Lanci.
"Sister, have you ever been to the Gold Bee Amusent Park? When I last left Ichrite, it was still under construction. It should be completed by now? Can you take to play there?"
Isatia continued holding onto Talia's arm, asking her endlessly.
"I've been there, it's quite fun."
Last ti at Gold Bee Amusent Park, Talia won a good amount of Golden Bee Coins, and there wasn't enough ti to finish them all on a night snack. They were kept at the Boss Cat Restaurant's ho, allowing her to play freely next ti she visited the park.
Moreover, she had received a yearly pass to Gold Bee Amusent Park as a reward during a trial at Love Obstacle Corridor College, and it was still valid. It would be a pity not to use up the Golden Bee Coins, so she would need Lanci's help on a day off to deal with them.
"Wow, I also want to feed my sister night snacks."
Isatia seed ready to jump at the chance.
"How did you know Lanci fed night snacks? No, what I ant is, your use of 'also' is quite unreasonable. Besides, I don't need anyone else to feed ."
Talia imdiately refuted, pointing out the issues.
"Huh? Didn't you guys feed each other during your first date in Huadu? Didn't he feed you night snacks?"
Isatia gasped, covering her mouth in surprise.
"Isatia, careful or I'll hit you! Do you rember who fed you when you were a child?"
Talia threatened, ready to catch Isatia beside her.
"No! Sister!"
The sisters chatted and teased each other in the backseat.
Unknowingly, the sun gradually rose higher.
Their vehicle drove past the Duke's Mansion in the Ichrite South District, gradually slowing down.

In a tranquil neighborhood, a luxurious Duke's mansion stood proudly.
As they slowly entered the grand entrance of this stately manor, what imdiately ca into view was a straight, clean private driveway, with its asphalt surface ticulously maintained and spotless.
The road was lined with neatly planted plane trees, their crowns thick, with the hedges between the trees trimd into spherical shapes, like strings of erald beads adorning the drive.
At the end of the driveway, at the center of a large circular fountain square, a marble statue of the goddess holding a lamp stood. Clear water cascaded from the base of the lamp, refracting into a rainbow of colors under natural light.
Surrounding the fountain was a cluster of vibrant rose gardens, exuding a subtle fragrance.
Further ahead, the imposing three-story Duke's mansion rose from the ground. Its off-white stone exterior walls glead brightly, with floor-to-ceiling windows neatly aligned, their fras and balcony railings intricately adorned with carvings of exquisite design. The mansion's entrance was guarded by two majestic white jade stone lions on either side, with the Duke Alansar Family coat of arms gilded on the door, gleaming brightly in the dayti.
"We've arrived."
The vehicle slowly ca to a stop at the entrance of the mansion, and Hans opened the door for the Duke, letting down the Duke and his family elegantly.
"My ho hasn't changed at all over the years!"
Isatia raised her hand to shield herself from the glaring sunlight, gazing at her family's Duke's mansion.
"I heard from Hyperion that even that piano, the Duke kept it for you for over a decade, refusing to exchange it for any amount of money."
