Lanci pondered for a mont and began explaining to Violet.
The awakening of Third Ancestor Duke Rashar deep beneath the Cerryti Empire was the fundantal driving force behind all of this.
Duke Rashar's authority, [Blood Control Heart], was hard to use in direct combat, but it was the most troubleso Blood Clan authority in terms of strategy. The heavier the enemy's negative emotions, the easier it was for Duke Rashar to discover a weakness in their spirit, carrying out mind control and enforced domination.
"..."
Listening to Lanci's words, Violet remained silent, lightly tapping the armrest of the sofa, lost in prediction and deep thought.
The Cerryti Empire possessed enough strength to counter the entirety of the Kingdom Joint Council Alliance, yet as an enormous monolith, internal voices had always been discordant. Even regarding the matter of war, not all of the War Gods were in agreent.
This ti, nearly all the War Gods participated, and even the Kingdom Joint Council Alliance couldn't analyze how the Cerryti Empire managed to unify the decision among the War Gods.
If a ninth-order ancient Blood Clan mber were involved and wielded an authority comparable to a Divine Realm ninth-order epic spell, everything would add up.
"Professor Landry... How did you know all this?"
Violet knew that Landry might not reveal such secrets, but she couldn't help but ask.
Even the mbers on Princess Alexia's side didn't have intelligence as detailed and complete as Professor Landry's, nor could they provide any evidence to validate these vague conjectures.
Perhaps Landry was closer to being the Prophet of the Silvermoon Reform Association than anyone else.
"I don't quite understand the principles myself, but after all these journeys, I've co to believe that this was a revelation given to by the Goddess of Destiny. Maybe She considers bound to Her by so ancient oath, and so She broke the rules to intervene in my fate, allowing to see things mortals shouldn't witness."
Lanci's gaze seed to drift back to the twilight of the Blood Moon Bad World Era.
He did not know what ultimately beca of the Black Sun Lord.
Perhaps, after the Black Sun Lord encountered Tamisha, they traversed a turbulent journey together.
These secret pieces of intelligence were not ones Lanci would casually disclose, lest he alert the enemy and expose his existence. But now, with the decisive confrontation against the Blood Clan imminent, Violet was the one he deed his last potential ally, so he had no choice but to tell this Wolf Witch.
"I believe you."
Violet believed the Goddess of Destiny could accomplish such feats.
When she was first approached, she already leaned toward the Silvermoon Reform Association's stance, rely needing a solid reason and a more intricate explanation.
More importantly, she admired Landry's sincerity and his resolve to seek her out during such tis, devoid of any deceit.
His conviction had long transcended the personal realm, tied instead to an ultimate mission.
And the divine intervention described by Professor Landry resembled a high-level foresight combined with phantasmagoria, delivered in a manner he could accept—granting him insights without harming his mind.
With a proper dium, the Goddess of Destiny could definitely achieve this.
If one crossed into the Temple of the Goddess of Destiny and touched Her statue, all conditions would be t. Every detail Professor Landry narrated would align perfectly; as the Moon God High Priest, Violet was far too familiar with the divine nature and authority of each God.
"From our perspective, the Blood Clan has always seed more like a hypothetical adversary... but now, increasingly nurous signs suggest that what you're saying is indeed true."
Violet spoke with a weightier tone, then raised her gaze to Lanci again,
"So, how can I assist you, within the boundaries of what won't violate the principles of the High Priest and the War Gods? I don't wish to learn too much about your operations either, as it could pose risks to your security."
She asked Lanci.
As the Sixth War God, she could only serve as an auxiliary ally, and that was better for both sides.
After all, standing at opposing sides remained a possibility in the end.
"If you ever see Blood Clan mbers attempting to flee and wreak havoc in Bulida City, please help intercept them. Obliterate them at all costs—even if it ans clashing with other War Gods—make sure they are dealt with."
Lanci pleaded with Violet once more.
Having a Silvermoon Reform Association external ally like Violet make such a commitnt would be more than sufficient.
After all, on National Day, all the War Gods would participate in the Protection Ritual, which held them immobilized for two hours.
All War Gods participating in the Protection Ritual as usual—this was the optimal scenario for Lanci's side.
This way, they could guarantee that no War Gods controlled by Rashar would attack during the assault on Blood Moon City.
Thus, there was no need to risk asking Violet to abandon her post while facing another risk—that more War Gods might also fail to complete the Protection Ritual.
"Alright. I won't share what we've discussed today with any other War Gods; you can rest assured."
Violet decisively agreed.
If Professor Landry's intelligence were true, every War God carried the potential risk of being manipulated.
"Thank you, Miss Violet."
Lanci, holding the cat, expressed gratitude to her.
What she expressed was always genuine.
Not rely her sincerity but also her integrity. In turn, Lanci—still clutching the Talia-cat he'd been testing her with—felt deeply guilty.
"Sigh. If you all succeed in eliminating the Blood Clan, it'll still be unclear who owes thanks to whom. This should have been the sacred duty of our Twelve War Gods through history."
Violet sighed but smiled.
She formally stood up and extended her hand toward Landry.
"..."
Lanci looked at Violet's outstretched hand but didn't shake it. Instead, he lightly bumped her palm with his fist.
"You understand the Wolf Clan's etiquette?"
Violet's eyes blinked in astonishnt.
She had expected Lanci to follow convention and shake her hand.
In truth, the Wolf Clan preferred fist bumps as a gesture of alliance.
Even she had only read about it in ancient texts at the Temple of the Moon Goddess; modern people were clueless, and she herself had never tried it.
"I have other Wolf Clan friends."
Lanci smiled.
"No wonder. Well then, once everything is over, you must introduce to them. I've never t another ancestral Wolf Clan mber besides Elsa."
Violet, montarily surprised, then flashed a broad smile toward Lanci and extended her clenched fist tentatively.
Anyone who befriends the Wolf Clan could not be a bad person.
The Wolf Clan always trusted its instincts.
"No problem, it's a promise."
Lanci earnestly bumped fists with Violet in agreent.
