"Hmm."
Lanci replied to Ursula.
He understood what Ursula ant—it was the sa for him. The gap between him and the First War God of the Diamond Throne, Hesintos, was so vast that he couldn't sense this person's strength at all.
However, the faint aura emanating from the person made Lanci suspect that it could only rival the Saint Polante Pope from the Shadow World.
Of course, this was not the Saint Polante Pope in his full pri.
Other than the Saint Polante Pope, Lanci couldn't think of any other being that gave off a similar presence.
"Kid, you wouldn't happen to be ridiculously strong yourself, always pretending to be weak, huh?"
Ursula squinted and scrutinized him.
Ever since their last visit to the Bulida Mafia's territory, where she saw Professor Landry casually go head-to-head with a sixth-order Vampire Viscount as though throwing an exhibition match, she had been suspicious of Professor Landry's mysterious level of power. The guy had all the markings of soone toying with opponents in underground Black Fist matches. How strong he truly was, perhaps only when pushed to a desperate corner would it beco clear.
Although she had overheard so noble gossip earlier about rumors surrounding her and Professor Landry, Ursula had never cared about her reputation. She knew him inside out—his personality and basic character—so she paid no heed to the idle chatter.
"That's just classic Brother Landry."
Elsa praised him.
As Ursula just pointed out, their older brother had a borderline omnipotence that sotis felt too much.
She often found herself caught in a surreal illusion, suspecting that her brother might be an angel sent to protect her in place of her real sibling. There was always a sense of unfamiliarity about him, yet it managed to foster an unwavering, inexplicable trust, making it impossible to doubt his goodwill.
"Don't put on a pedestal."
Lanci hurriedly denied their words.
"Sorry for offending your family, Ursula."
But seeing Ursula exhibit the sa carefree deanor she usually had, Lanci couldn't help breaking into a smile.
She seed to have fully regained her composure.
"..."
Ursula shook her head slowly, her expression complicated as she gazed at Lanci.
"Thank you, Professor Landry."
She said lightly but with heartfelt sincerity.
"I'll make sure that your older brother returns to how he used to be."
Lanci promised earnestly.
Ursula pressed her lips together and lowered her head, fully understanding what Landry ant.
While others might interpret his words as an intention to nd her strained siblings' relationship, only Ursula and Elsa grasped the implication. Lanci was likely planning to undertake sothing extrely dangerous.
However, since Ursula had already expressed her gratitude once, it didn't feel right to say it again imdiately.
"I'll also help make sure your sister stays safe."
Ursula responded similarly, gripping Elsa's hand tightly.
"Thank you, Ursula. You're both the least troubleso sisters anyone could ask for."
Lanci nodded in appreciation.
With Ursula, this bold and brash peer, around, not only Elsa's safety but even her mood was nothing to worry about. No one would dare ss with her.
"I'm not even your sister…"
Ursula muttered, seemingly correcting Lanci's statent.
But as she spoke, she struggled to suppress her laughter.
"That said, Professor, you sure have an endless string of scandals. How many sisters-in-law are you planning to have?"
Before Lanci could catch her expression, Ursula shifted topics, discreetly probing.
Elsa also nodded earnestly, clearly invested in this question.
"What nonsense is this?"
Lanci asked back in shock.
Weren't the rumors supposed to fizzle out on their own? Why did they seem to be gaining ground again?
"Here's the deal... They claim you won't even spare your mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Even going so far as to transform her partner into a long-haired beauty to add to your harem. It's said you aim to charm everyone—from hot-tempered old ladies to young girls in the throes of their first crush—even won old enough to be your mother, not to ntion married ones!"
Elsa added in a hushed tone, secretly relaying the allegations to her brother.
"Huh?"
When Lanci heard this, he froze as if turned to stone.
